Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

I’m thinking about getting my boys (8 & 10) hoverboards. Does anyone have any knowledge of them, are they a one day wonder? They spend a lot of time outdoors on scooters and bikes, I’m trying to think of another outside activity!

Any bargains would be even better!

myhobbyisouting · 08/11/2020 22:22

@Carrie76 I don't think they're meant to be used in public places so not sure how much use you'd get out of them (or if anyone polices that).

Aldi have flashing pogo sticks for £15 though!

PerditaNitt · 08/11/2020 22:22

Thanks @bettyskitchen and @Chocolateteabag. I had forgotten about the deals predictor on mse. Shame about m&s; I have a few things in my basket waiting for the right sparks voucher (but always seem to get 20% of flip flops or some such nonsense that I never need!)

CamdenLurker · 08/11/2020 22:30

@Helssjbells

Love this thread - thanks so much ladies.

Does anyone know where I can buy a large garden gnome from? The bigger, bolder and brighter - the better! It’s a joke gift so I don’t want to pay more than £20. Thank you!

Asda usually sell them, they have Christmas ones in at the moment I think.
Clementine8 · 08/11/2020 22:33

@lifelongfrugaleer thank you so much for the this
Works voucher, DSis loves their stuff and i’ve had it in my basket waiting for a voucher.

I’m also looking for a Matalan discount code. I have far too much i want to buy from there and the same for Dunelm.

Tiggles · 08/11/2020 22:41

@thelaststarfighter I have a fake oodie (uniquen maybe, about £12 on amazon anyway) and no problems with static.

mcgonagalscat · 08/11/2020 23:12

@ZIGGY911 your name and postcode is at the top of your gin glass pic in case you wanted someone to take the post down.

Winterfellismyhome · 08/11/2020 23:15

I have a 20% code at Muddy Puddles here:

@Scoleah can I ask how noisy the pogo is without the squeaker? I have 2 boisterous girls but a very noise sensitive husband so wondered how loud it might be jumping on laminate?

CoffeeAndEnnui · 08/11/2020 23:40

@Bananasplease, if you style out the ballerinas on these ridiculously lairy socks as dancers from a modern take on The Nutcracker you'd totally win. They're in the sale but MadMia socks are pretty expensive so I'm not sure it officially qualifies as a bargain...

Scoleah · 08/11/2020 23:47

@Lovemusic33

Thank you Scoleah, have ordered a weighted blanket, wasn’t sure what size to get, dd is 16 so went for the bigger size but 8kg sounds heavy 🤣, I’m sure she will like it, she always wraps herself up tight in her duvet.
We have the 8kg, the King (8kg) fills up half of my double bed, I had the double (6kg) for my 11yo DD to use on her single bed. My 11yo uses my mums 8kg one though and loves it! They are fab, I wish we had found them sooner!

Thank you, I've reported it

My son used it on our laminate: and it just sounds like foam hitting the floor, just a small tapping noise!
(He's very boisterous and hasn't stopped on it, and it's been great!)

It's made of a sturdy foam block on the bottom, with elastics connected to the handle, I had fun on there too, but it had the same effect on my bladder as the trampoline!BlushGrin

TheLastStarfighter · 08/11/2020 23:59

Thanks @Tiggles

TheCrow · 09/11/2020 00:11

Does anyone have a go outdoors card they wouldn't mind me borrowing? My mama asked for some deck chairs for Christmas and you only get them on offer if you buy a £5 yearly member's card 🤨

thaegumathteth · 09/11/2020 00:15

Thank you to whoever replied re American hamper! My phones not letting me scroll back to check your name.

wibdib · 09/11/2020 00:41

@Bananasplease you can get socks printed with a picture of your own choice - they were on my Facebook feed a couple of days ago. If you have a really bad pic of your dh, especialliy if he has a Santa hat or a cracker crown etc - the head (including hat) got printed in a repeating pattern across the sock - with a choice of basic colours to some really lurid pink and turquoise...
Can’t see it on Facebook now I want to see it but hopefully google should oblige... will paste it here if they reappear!

FoolShapeHeart · 09/11/2020 00:42

Can anyone recommend a Christmas tree train set for a tabletop tree please? Another branch of my lo's family have a full size one as a big part of their family tradition, but we have a 3'/4' potted tree sat on a table as we don't have much space. I've found the odd miniature one but they have rubbish reviews. I don't have £££ to spend but not interested in tat either!

Clevererthanyou · 09/11/2020 01:16

@FoolShapeHeart I think Cox and Cox have them and they’re quite nice? There’s usually aa referral code for £20 off a £25 spend on the referrals thread.

mummyof2boys30 · 09/11/2020 06:44

Any idea where i could get a hooded blanket? For a big 8 year old (wears 11-12) clothes. Seen a giraffe one in new look buy doesnt give sizes

SayNoToCarrots · 09/11/2020 06:59

I got this one last year. I'm sure I remember comparing to the cox and cox and finding it was the same

SayNoToCarrots · 09/11/2020 06:59

Sorry, talking about a christmas train above

unkindnessofravens · 09/11/2020 07:17

DNiece is 14 and has taken up knitting, any nice kits anyone could recommend ?

coffeetofunction · 09/11/2020 07:41

Any nectar point collectors it's well worth a good look at the offers from partners. I use the app which makes it easier but many of the shops and retailers mentioned with offer over the last thread have double nectar points available
