Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

It's on Martin Lewis' email, but just a reminder that the MSECHRISTMAS50 code gets 50% off xmas cards at Scribbler before Tuesday night, making them about 1.60 each plus postage on top.

Good for something a bit different, and because I don't fancy the chances of card shops being open and empty before it's time to get them in the post!

@Bananasplease
I bought these flip flop socks for a friend recently and his wife almost vomited (she hates feet)
These chicken leg socks are pretty hideous too

pigeonorstatue · 08/11/2020 20:21

and sorry, I wanted to say thanks Reastie!

Bezzi · 08/11/2020 20:23

@Bananasplease oh sorry I just re read and saw you wanted Christmas themed ones. The chicken legs could pass as turkey legs?

littlestpogo · 08/11/2020 20:31

Elemis buy 3 full size and get one free ( so I my pay for two). Only valid on full size. Code 3FOR2

myhobbyisouting · 08/11/2020 20:31

Thank you @NoWordForFluffy and @Scoleah for the ideas. I'm sure the pogo jumper would go down well with the boys!

spudsuliked · 08/11/2020 20:31

I think somebody was asking about Harvey Nichols discounts.. not exactly a discount but I've saved my Quidco cashback and have just noticed if you withdraw it as a HN gift card they give you an extra ten per cent.. might help somebody! Other shops on there too (I'm fantasising about withdrawing it as a Harvey nics voucher and buying myself lovely things but it will mostly go to Argos to buy more hideous plastic crap.. oh well!)

littlestpogo · 08/11/2020 20:32

Only pay for two - sorry!

myhobbyisouting · 08/11/2020 20:35

Dolphintrainer · 08/11/2020 20:41

@CupoTeap Thanks for flagging the Nike 25%, I’ve placed an order and am delighted!

Elpheba · 08/11/2020 20:59

@Courtney555 normally it’s over Black Friday weekend, so wouldn’t expect it until nearer the end of November. I’m waiting for it too!

Junobug · 08/11/2020 21:00

Thank you so much. it was the busy bees glasses I was thinking of but the ginology ones are beautiful and on offer at amazon at the moment.

weebarra · 08/11/2020 21:02

20% off Anorak towels with PJ20.

Lovemusic33 · 08/11/2020 21:03

Can anyone recommend a weighted blanket at a bargain price? So far studio seems to be the cheapest but not sure how good they are. It’s for dd1 and I don’t want to spend a fortune as her main present is expensive but I think she would like one.

oatmilkisntsobad · 08/11/2020 21:10

Can anyone recommend some martini glasses for a reasonable price? I need 6. Thanks

CompleteBarstool · 08/11/2020 21:15

@Lovemusic33 these have been recommended lots on these threads. They're available in different weights and sizes

weighted blankets

waitforitwaitforit · 08/11/2020 21:16

I recommend the ones from online home shop here I have the grey, pink & teddy fleece from here & me and the kids love them!
InDreamland · 08/11/2020 21:19

@PerditaNitt no idea but John Lewis are price matching many items at the moment, likely due to the House of Fraser 20% off.

Lovemusic33 · 08/11/2020 21:44

Thank you Scoleah, have ordered a weighted blanket, wasn’t sure what size to get, dd is 16 so went for the bigger size but 8kg sounds heavy 🤣, I’m sure she will like it, she always wraps herself up tight in her duvet.

shash1982 · 08/11/2020 21:58

Madonnawiththebigboobies I don't unfortunately.
Thanks you though.

Helssjbells · 08/11/2020 22:10

Love this thread - thanks so much ladies.

Does anyone know where I can buy a large garden gnome from? The bigger, bolder and brighter - the better! It’s a joke gift so I don’t want to pay more than £20. Thank you!

Courtney555 · 08/11/2020 22:12

@Elpheba thank you, I was in a panic!

TheCrow · 08/11/2020 22:17

@Helssjbells Asda usually bring out christmassy versions of their giant gnomes, might be worth keeping an eye out? They're currently showing some smaller ones as coming soon on their website
