Argghhhh, I’m so sorry, I hope I haven’t lost you all! I was keeping a beady eye then got distracted trying to work out how to forward plan a Zoom call for work and invite someone, which should only take a few minutes but I’m incompetent and it took me far too long Blush .

@CarrotVan I hope it was the former!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Thanks @Reastie

Can anyone recommend a decent American sweets hamper? Online only as I can't get to the shops.

shash1982 · 08/11/2020 18:51

@thaegumathteth I got one delivered from ebay, they're a few different sellers on there.
Also, studio had some American sweet tubes on their website but I'm not sure how good those ones are.

thelegohooverer · 08/11/2020 18:53

I have such a longing for the family tartan pyjamas posted in the last thread but the only way we’d be in matching pjs on Christmas morning would be if they were Minecraft themed.

[whispers quietly] does such a thing exist?

Gurufloof · 08/11/2020 19:01

Thank you @chocolateteabag. Useful info. Would be lovely if mens clothes came with standards like s/m/L/XL leg lengths everywhere.

Biscuiteers have 15% off their letterbox biscuit Christmas collection with JINGLEBELLS. It ends tonight and you can preselect the date you want them delivered.

@TheRealMrsJamieFraser

Has anyone seen any offers for converse? Or Schuh? DD1 hasn't asked for much but did mention converse
I got converse at ASOS last week. There was a 20% off code that I think I just got by Googling discount codes. I'd actually bought from JD with no discount so returned that pair.
Theimpossiblegirl · 08/11/2020 19:12

@Junobug

A few threads ago, someone linked some really pretty gin glasses that I think were painted with flowers and bugs. I didn't need them at the time but my toddler smashed my favourite gin glass last week so I wanted to add them to my Christmas list. I've looked but can't remember what thread they were in.
There were the ginology glasses, on Very, Amazon, Studio and local garden centres. I love them.

River Island have got a sale on boys clothes - T-shirt's about £4

myhobbyisouting · 08/11/2020 19:17

If anyone can suggest something for a just 1 year old girl (not plastic stuff) and boys aged 2 and 5 (can be joint present) I'd love some inspiration!

I'm struggling! And don't want to spend much at all. Wishing I'd stocked up on the jaques stuff last year

PatchworkElmer · 08/11/2020 19:17

amazon.co.uk/Schleich-14800-Polar-Bear/dp/B074VG897Z Schleich Polar Bear £3.67]]

Just ordered as a stocking filler for DS.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/11/2020 19:20

@myhobbyisouting, I love this kind of thing for little kids. We had loads of them and both kids loved them for ages.

PerditaNitt · 08/11/2020 19:24

Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone have any insight on when (and if) M&S, John Lewis and Selfridges are doing their 20% off weekends this year? They are usually in mid-late November but not sure if they are happening this year.

Thanks to everyone for these threads; they have helped me to be more organised than I have ever been and I’m about 60% through my shopping which is a record for me for early November!

What about this pogo jumper for 5 year old & possibly 2 year old. I had one for my 4 year old for Xmas but he's been so hyper today he had it early to burn off the energyBlush It's lightweight, the squeak is removable and he's been continuously bouncing on it for approx 3 hours now Grin
TheRealMrsJamieFraser · 08/11/2020 19:27

@recklessgran not at all - I'm all sorted now but thank you Smile

@sugarplumfairy2010 - I got sorted for converse too - but thank you, am now seeing things on Zalando that might work for ds Grin

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get some really OTT Christmas socks? Every year I have an ugly sock competition with my DB and DS. We've had some corkers in previous years. DS usually wins but I'm determined that 2020 is my year (in this very limited respect at least). Where can I find the best (i.e. sparkliest/loudest/weirdest) Xmas socks for a bargain price?

Thank you so much. Says code invalid.. not sure if it's my order or if its been used. Thank you though x

That sounds so fun! Totally stealing your idea Grin
Chocolateteabag · 08/11/2020 20:19

@PerditaNitt - I saw another thread where the Op had tweeted M&S customer services who said they weren't doing the 20% weekend this year

Raindropsonrosesand · 08/11/2020 20:20

Thank you @Ness1234!
