New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

It's windy today, isn't it? We have a Spanish-named storm coming across.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

A slightly quieter weekend was had due to weather being too bad for sailing but good enough for hockey - I got 3 hours alone in the house!! I’m taking a day’s leave tomorrow (I need to use some up before the end of the month) and I plan to do some sewing for at least a couple of hours. Of the “finishing off UFOs” type, not just “repair and maintenance”.

Oh Mrs I am MAD at your DSis on your behalf!! She really is trying to isolate DM from you isn’t she? But you’re damned if you do keep going (by DSis torments) and damned if you don’t (DM getting upset by DSis treatment and also worrying is DM being looked after properly). Hopefully the wise heads in Stately Homed can help.

It’s been a very long day and it’s freezing. I’ve been to work, had a massage, been slimming, walked the dogs, eaten tea and now finally putting my feet up.
My shoulders and back are aching (in a good way) from the massage so fingers crossed it helps 🤞🏼

Slimming was ok thank you. I stayed the same this week but I’m very hormonal and I usually put 2lbs on during a period so I’m really pleased with it!

DDog2 would be very happy with a Shit Head dog visit as he is affectionately known as Twat Head dog so I figured they'd be great friends 😂

The massage is a work perk. It’s amazing, a proper deep tissue sports massage - as long as you can get your name on the list early enough or are friends with the admin lady who books the appointments and basically bribe her with tea and biscuits😂

Awww Fire, your cat looks like ours, and he has that look permanently on his face too

Crazy, she stamps on my mum's dogs head, so if your dog is the same size as her then they might not be friends, yet mum's dog still wants to come in here

Mrs, your sister is utterly awful. Is the tissue box in the room with your mum? I'd be watching the camera to see her put the money in there as it's obviously deliberate. What did your mum say when you found it in the tissues? It's almost like your sister is trying to make trouble for you AND your mum doubt her faculties in one move.

I love all these animal photos, though your doggy sounds like it's the most trouble, PJ!

Crazy, if you normally put 2lb on, then that's a 2lb loss, so well done!

I think you'd hear my muscles crack from where you all are if I had a deep massage! I'm very crunchy!

Hopefully it'll be an OK day today. I'm trying to get ahead as I'm on an all day training course on Friday, so want to get all of those tasks done too, if possible.

Morning on day 2 of 10 days training. Yesterday was exhausting but we had a difficult patient to sort in the midst of it all.

I have been bounced on by PJ's crazy pooch. She is gorgeously high maintenance.

Morning. I want a dog but we can't because we're both out of the house all day and can't afford a dog walker. Although DH could take the dog to work he says no.

The dc are being annoying this morning; dd is antibac'ing the work surfaces near where she sneezed and washing her hands every ten minutes and ds is playing football indoors

I've got a slightly later start today as I can't go into my first school until half nine and there's no point going to the office first as by the time I get there it'll be time to leave again. Lovely sunny morning again although a bit frosty.

Scrap that left my laptop at work. It'll be a rush this morning!

DD1 was doing Hegarty maths until gone 11 last night, she was doing ratios.

Fluffy, l don't trust my sister one bit. My Mother tried to cover for her but l know . I discussed the 'money show' with my Dd's and Dh. My DH said to search the house to find the money , he thought she didn't have much time to hide it and I found it very easily. It was right next to Mum, in the tissue box underneath the tissues the box being on the little table. Sister had been meddling there with a wet wipe, 'cleaning the table' , which in itself is odd because she never does anything. l found the money so easily . l can't believe she missed it tbh. Also the huge song and dance about it . The introduction of my name into the conversation when l hadn't even been there when the money went missing . That really floored me, the acceptance by my Mum for it to be my fault . I think my sister is leaving money around the house deliberately. There is always some left in the 'pot' and on the side. Last night she tried to stop Mum going to Bob's until after lunch . (She's there today) using the excuse that Mum won't eat her lunch if she goes to him and eats it there. It's a lame excuse, she just wants to control her . Mum eats much better when she is with Bob , she's eaten with Dad since forever and it's small things that encourage elderly ppl TO eat. I have gone on too much again 🙄 . It's nigh on impossible to breathe in the house, she has such a grip on it . My Mum does know but it's like she tries to curry favour with her to stay in her good books. I barely talk to her, l never see her and I don't want to. She refers to me as "the mental case from Abergavenny '. I am not surprised at that, she is just horrible. I wish l had a lovely sister like you and Why. I used to feel so close to her but l realise it was because she had full control over me and my family and household. I used to go shopping and leave the stuff in the boot until she had gone because of the things she would say. She made me feel so guilty and as if l wasn't worthy . I have changed so much since I looked after my BF Kathy. She treated me so lovely, she was so grateful for anything l did & it gave me a sense of worth again.
God l have gone on 🙄

If you need to rant than rant Mrs, we'll listen, and actually you are right when it comes to your mum eating better when she's with Bob, over on the old people's mental health ward staff will sometimes sit and eat with the patients to encourage them to eat, although they already have company with the other patients, it's a bit like a little social gathering for them, she definitely planted that money then Mrs, going by what you have said.

What does your DH do that he could take a dog to work Wreck? That is my dream - my dog is only little and would fit comfortably under my desk but company says no

My thoughts would be to step right back and protect your MH. Your sister is awful and she really knows how to upset you - let your DH and DDs do their bit but take as much time and space as you need.

I'm sat at my desk and my back is so tender. I know I'll feel the benefits in a few days but right now it just hurts 😫

On the plus side, I slept from 10 until 6:30 and only woke up once for a wee 🥳 (I used ear plugs and it was amazing).
