New thread for our 'bonus' day today.

It's the anniversary of our gran dying today; she was a brilliant lady. Very young at heart. ❤️❤️ Very knowledgeable too.

It's windy today, isn't it? We have a Spanish-named storm coming across.

I think corona is concerning in the sense that any potential pandemic is concerning generally. And, as I said, I'm not that keen on being quarantined for a fortnight or more!

I also don't trust our government to act in our best interests over the whole thing.

Anyway, kids' party with DS today. Wooooo!

Gran wasn't PJ's side of the family though. Nan's anniversary is this week, however.

Your allotment is looking good, Fluffy. Our greenhouse is taking a battering with all these storms, so I'm struggling to get anything started at the moment. Just some chilli plants

I'm going to the allotment briefly now to put my marginal pond plants in pots and then into the pond.

I'm on the train home. In one piece apart from a sore elbow from crocheting all afternoon.

I popped to the allotment and filled a couple of bird feeders plus planted up my pond plants and make a frog shelter by the pond!

Bloody hell is it windy / cold! I saw a fellow allotmenteer and we were discussing how bloody wet it is. We need a month of dry weather to sort it out!

I've been sorting out the gardens at home today instead of allotmenting. I have sticks stuck in my hair from the rampant raspberries, accidentally pulled up the rosemary bush (which is massive and unkempt, but the bees like it), and have cleared all the dead leaves off the strawberries, so it's looking a bit tidier at least!

I really wanted to do some planting today, but my compost is buried under plantpots and racking in the greenhouse (all blown over in the storms) and I need DH to help me get it, but he's hurt his back. Hopefully we can get to it tomorrow!

I've never had Welsh cakes - have I been missing out?

I don't think I'd be much good at standup, pussy. My timing is okay, but I have a tendency just to laugh at myself

To be honest, I didn't check the tenancy agreement! 😂 It'll be well hidden, so unless they go on the plot, they won't see it.

I really need to sort / clean my pots. One day I'll get outside to do it.

How was it Woolly?

We went to Hereford today. Had a little nose around the shops and almost bought a nut shaped bird feeder before we realised that’s complete madness in this house - we have nowhere to hang it 🙄

Went for a freezing cold walk too - within 5 minutes we got caught in a hailstorm so I was soaked through. DDog2 enjoyed it though.

Have now had a shower and slowly warming back up..

Oh what are Welsh Cakes ?
They look like a scone/pancake hybrid .
Are they done on a flat skillet like pancakes ?

This morning she decided she was going to get absolutely plastered in mud, the living room and kitchen were filthy!!

We were invited to a wedding reception, but we haven't gone, I'm tired and didn't finish work until 7, it started at 7.30.

I'd love to, PJ. I love Collies - bit random, but when I was younger I used to help out at the local annual dog show and I used to love to watch the collies. You could see their thoughts on their faces!

Here's where I'm up to with my cross stitch. It's Christmas themed, and the plan was to finish it for this Christmas. This is my progress in 3 months - maybe Christmas 2022 might be more attainable

I think Dh has definitely had collie regret this week ha ha, I'm going to keep an eye out for some agility stuff for her as I think she'd love it, just wish I was fit enough to go and take her to classes, and had more money!!

Morning!

Our poly greenhouse finally gave up overnight. Thankfully the lemon trees in it were unharmed!

I bought a polycarbonate greenhouse the other week so that'll go up when the wind drops. Hopefully this is the last storm!

@CrazyBaubles, the Love Crafts website has a Bothy discount at the moment. I think they also do a new customer discount as well.

I love Bothy designs. I could buy almost all of them! 😂 Yours is brilliant, Firefly.

I've had 3 nights off mine, just to give my eyes a little holiday. Back to it later though.
