Just ordered it, the potting bench and a couple of windowsill propogators :)

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/02/2020 18:08

Yuk! Half term has flown by. Today was a Sunday Groundhog Day. Ironing uniform, supervising homework and checking bags are packed for tomorrow. I have made a cake for after dinner and I'm currently drinking a nice cold glass of wine while waiting for the roasties to brown.

WreckTangled · 23/02/2020 18:10

Woolly dd has had two weeks to do two pieces of homework due in on Wednesday and another due in Thursday. She hasn't done any. I'm not saying another word about it Hmm

Clean plates all round for dinner 👏

Mrsmadevans · 23/02/2020 19:03

@Em that is perfect ,it is absolutely gorgeous , thank you for the heads up. l am sorely tempted to get it for my Mum's friend birthday, who has just been an angel to her, she is a great gardener and l think she would love it Smile hell l would love it ! Smile
@TheWoollybacksWife that sounds like a perfect prep Sunday Smile
@WreckTangled that is what they are all like love, me too when l was little Grin
Clean plates here too Maple bacon Sausages , mash & broad beans ....YUMMY!

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/02/2020 19:25

Wreck primary or secondary school? DS is pretty good about homework. I think it just doesn't occur to him to dob out of it. His friends are pretty academic so there is a bit of peer pressure. DH and I have access to his homework timetable so we know what's been set plus his big sisters are teachers so the poor bugger has no chance 🤣

Dr. Who now then tea, cake, Top Gear Freddie Flintoff and knitting.

Woolly primary school. She's year five. I'm not a fan of homework in primary school but I know she needs to get into the habit of doing it sooner. She's really academic but she's also happy to be idle for hours or lie on her bed reading 🙃

Mumbassa2 · 23/02/2020 21:39

I’m not a boxing fan either, but my family are huge fans. I don’t get the fuss myself.

Typical Sunday after half term here, just washing and ironing. I can’t believe the next time they’ll be off is Easter, this years flying by!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/02/2020 22:48

Ab-so-bally-loutly do nought today . One of those days .
Only a week left of the 300s which is a sobering thought !

I watched Series 2 of Line of Duty (the one with Keeley Hawes) love that show .

We went to Ikea yesterday (madness to go on a Saturday Xmas Confused ) to look at wardrobes for DD .
She's settled on one and we'll get it delivered .

I was in Lakeland , there were 4 Christmas sideplates (50% off £7.50) , DD and DH were all "It;s nearly March " so I put them back.

They just don't get it do they .
Considers trading both of them in.

WreckTangled · 24/02/2020 07:14

Eugh Monday morning 😩 it's going to be really wet and windy here again the wind is already picking up. I also had a dream I was pregnant. Must be getting broody again Shock

Today I'm taking all the things from my old office to my new office. And getting back to healthy eating because I'm 5lb up on what I was at Christmas Sad

NoWordForFluffy · 24/02/2020 07:15

Morning!

And it's raining. Again. I was woken by the rain being blown against the window this morning at 3.30. Not good! The wind is only about 25mph at the moment, but set to be 45mph gusts later. What a winter we're having!

All I can think about is how much water there must be at the allotment now.

Wreck, how is the new car? I hope you're getting along with it OK.

70, I love LoD (as does Mrs)! I did a little squee on Friday night when there was a little trailer saying all of the episodes are now on iPlayer to stream, because that means it's back soon! I have a physical reaction to the theme tune too: my heart starts racing a bit! How funny is that?!

I'd have just bought the plates. You need to go back (and trade your family in)!

It's fine fluffy. Inside it's good it has a sat nav, auto wipers and lights and is fairly comfortable to drive. It seems reliable which is what we need.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/02/2020 08:44

Morning everyone. I am sat in bed with a cuppa watching the rain just for a change.

Wreck. Glad the car seems OK.

Mumbassa2 · 24/02/2020 09:22

The school run was interesting with the rain this morning. Ddog won’t even go out for a wee😂.

I love LoD 70

EmrysAtticus · 24/02/2020 11:48

That's weird wreck I also dreamt that I was pregnant!

NoWordForFluffy · 24/02/2020 13:09

Ooh. I feel a thread baby coming on. Xmas Grin

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/02/2020 13:14

I would love another one but we can't afford it SadGrin

CrazyBaubles · 24/02/2020 13:33

MrsMad the rugby was awful - DH was shouting his head off as usual 🙄

Emrys that greenhouse is the kind of thing I want when we own a house - our current garden is good for nothing (bottom tier gets no sun and is flag stones, top tier is completely wild and the steps are dangerously wobbly).

Jealous of your wine yesterday woolly - I really fancied a glass and realised there was none in the house!
Also 😍 at your cake! It's a pity you're not local to me or I would have been straight around!

70 I can't believe you didn't buy the Christmas plates 😱
Also yes to LoD, I bloody love that show.

5lbs is a manageable about to lose Wreck

I'm in work watching the horrible weather outside. I got drenched just walking from the front door to the car this morning ☔️ and it's looking pretty grim still.

NoWordForFluffy · 24/02/2020 13:53

Our weather is lovely now (other than the wind!).

Are you looking for a house, Crazy, or do you need to wait a bit longer? I bet you can't wait!

Afternoon everyone Grin
Didn't have a chance to post this morning , had to be up Mum's early to get her ready for the Dr's re her ahem foof problem TMI l know
Dr has put her on Penicillin for a week now so hopefully this will sort it out Grin
She also had a new washing machine coming and they were plumbing it in and taking the other one away for her as well , also her teeth to be fetched from the dentist , she dropped them and they broke on Friday Hmm third time in about 3 months Grin, then pick up prescription from the chemist and sort her tablets out for the next week in weekly medicine pots , all this while showering her , dressing her and cleaning the house doing her food etc etc Grin
So just come home and collapsed with the puter/tv/cuppa am knackered .
Just heard Peter Kay is making a return after 3 years doing a fund raiser for Cancer , l wonder if someone very close to him, if not himself has been suffering from cancer. It would explain his sudden departure from our screens. Hope whatever it was has gone now & all are well Smile
@WreckTangled l was always desperate for more DC but as soon as l hit the menopause the feeling disappeared. I am so glad l didn't have more than 2 now & l never thought l would ever say that ! Grin
Car sounds fab , huge relief for you love Flowers
@CrazyBaubles if you think about it , Wales losing is a good thing for the game because it means there is a turnover of teams, a rebuilding and regrouping after Gatland finished and poor France have been in the doldrums for over a decade now. I can remember when they were an absolute Force in Rugby , years ago of course in the 70's/80's.They were always the team to beat. It's all cyclical l think. Besides which, have you seen the French player Romaine Ntamack Wink he's the image of Omar Sharif drool
@TheWoollybacksWife that cake Envy drool l love a bit of home made cake
@70isaLimitNotaTarget you shoulda woulda coulda got those Christmas plates, were you off your game listening to the scorn of the Dd/Dh Grin
LOD is one of my very faves along with Bodyguard , some of the best tv l have EVER seen preaching to the converted here Grin
@NoWordForFluffy NO thread babies here unless they are our Crazy's , everyone else cross your legs Grin They are filming LOD at the moment, can't wait Grin
TMI again Grin l just can't help myself Grin

EmrysAtticus · 24/02/2020 15:20

Don't worry no thread babies from me! DH has had the snip and no way I could go back to the baby stage. If I could be given a 2 year old I would absolutely have more but one lot of colic, reflux and no sleeping was enough for me. DS is 4 and still not a good sleeper so a baby would be disastrous.

I hope your next house has a fab garden crazy :)

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/02/2020 15:33

Fluffy there will be no thread babies here either!!! Far too long in the tooth nowadays (and thankfully I can't have any more - phew).

I am looking forward to LOD one of my favourite series ever.

I was at watching Dr Who last night and I am pleased to report the Cybermen still freak me out as much as they did when I was a child.

Mrsmadevans · 24/02/2020 16:14

I am going to watch Dr Who on iplayer off the back of your post @whydoesitalwayshappentome Grin The Cybermen are just about the limit of the scariness l can cope with Grin

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 24/02/2020 19:01

Mrs have your cushion ready to hide behind. I was peering out from behind mine.

Mumbassa2 · 24/02/2020 19:33

No thread babies here either, 3’s enough for me

CrazyBaubles · 24/02/2020 19:45

We're ready to buy in either a not-quite-the-area-we-want or a doer upper now Fluffy but if we save for another year we could possibly get exactly what we want. Problem is that house prices rose quicker than we could save last year. 🤞🏼it'll slow down and we will be in a new house this Christmas.

I agree MrsMad, I think we need to give Pivac a year to bed in, let his team changes settle etc. Still frustrating to watch though, especially Biggar this week. He went right back to acting like a petulant teenager.

Thank you Emrys. My dream is a flat garden, part patio, part lawn. I'm rubbish at gardening but I could have a greenhouse and some herbs in pots. Maybe a lemon tree.... and a bay window for the Christmas tree, a driveway and 3 bedroom

If I could give you all a thread baby I would. I dream of announcing it on here but I don't see that happening this year.

Im home and back on the cross stitch for an hour 😊
