Morning! I am so glad it's the weekend, this week has been a hard slog.

I finished work a little early yesterday so we blew the cobwebs away (and almost got blown away) walking ddog2 up the Folly before attempting yoga then settling down to cross stitch and a film.

Chilled out weekend interspersed with getting everything ready for Monday for us. DH is quite keen to get back to it after half term I think.

Jealous of the teddy collections. I have about 3 in the spare room and that's it.

I just popped to the allotment to fill my bird feeders as I didn't go last weekend. All 4 were empty, so I feel really bad now. I left them all full, so maybe they'll fill themselves today so I can refill them tomorrow! They have nuts, fat balls, sunflower seeds and a special robin mix. 😄

Crazy, we have about 300, it feels like! They're everywhere. One of the reasons DS now sleeps in his own bed, all night, is he has toys to cuddle and talk to. ❤️❤️

It's definitely breezy out there. Our washing will dry quickly.

We are just about to go for a walk with the dog now along the old railway line. I'm looking at the trees out the back garden and they aren't moving at all but at the front they're swaying all over the place

Will wrap up warm regardless.

Sorry I’ve been AWOL, we had a lovely family day. I will catch up with everyone tomorrow. Weather has been awful here.

Gosh the sound of the wind overnight was crazy and it still sounds pretty bad. So so tired of winter now.

At least we are making the most of the inside time by painting and decorating :)

Eugh my cold is getting worse! DH is taking ds to get his hair cut today and then he has football. After that we have to take my sisters car back. I need to do some washing and get ready for school/work tomorrow. Dd needs to do her homework too she's awful for leaving it to the last minute.

The kids are still in bed. DS has been dramatically yawning for 20 mins or so, but hasn't got up yet. DD hasn't made a sound yet (though she is the more quiet child!).

It's wet, but the wind has finally dropped, which is something. The rain is meant to stop at some point.

I'm off to the allotment soon. It's a waterproofs kind of day, that's for sure.

Emrys, this half term has been a write off thanks to the weather. Last year we had a heat wave for years holiday!

Yes last year's Feb half term was glorious wasn't it fluffy! DS and I had a picnic in the park. No chance of that this year.

Yes it was! I had a photo on my Facebook memories of the dc in t shirts rolling down a hill at the park. It's been miserable.

The wind is 'only' 25ish mph, down from 50+ yesterday. It's a breeze in comparison to recent weather. 😂😂

I'm currently in bed watching the last ever episode of Criminal Minds. Will be visiting my friend later for a cup of tea and a catch up. I need to try and support her (she is getting divorced) but feel like I need to encourage her to make some progress because she is focusing on the past to the point she is a bit stuck.

I need to make real cross stitch progress today because the beach one is frustrating me.

Emrys did you use Little Green Refills in the end? If yes would you recommend them? I need an environmentally friendly way to cleanse my face and clean my house.

Thanks Mrs. I did consider playing safe with the colours in the house but then I figured we are going to be here for years we should have it how we like it and we can always stick some magnolia on before we sell which isn't any time soon. I love all the colours :)

I hate boxing too. And most boxers seem to be utter knobbers too.

Afternoon everyone
After that leisurely start l didn't want to get out of bed this morning but
DH started making me feel guilty by saying he was going to clean downstairs so l had to join him in the cleaning didn't l ?
Cleaned the bathroom/bedrooms, changed the beds and done the washing/drying and am now relaxing in front of the telly with a cuppa AHHH!
One bath and hair wash later and l am myself again !
DD2 has Catfish on , it's mind numbingly awful yet strangely addictive , bit like Jeremy Kyle and My Mum , she loved it. l could never see the attraction myself it was awful TV.
DD1 has gone to do Mum today for me , we are back tomorrow , it's nice to have someone l can trust looking after her and giving DH & l a day off .
Fluffy ,the allotment , it is a quagmire ! The ground is completely sodden . WTH can you do there today except get the hell home out of it into the dry tidy up

Weather has picked up , been sunny past couple of hrs but l see l spoke too soon, normal service is resumed , grey clouds full of rain coming over

DD2 has changed channels NOW, got the Wales v France Womens rugby game on in Welsh on S4C
I am thinking l won't miss her TV choice when she leaves that is for sure

Aldi have their gardening stuff in from next weekend. A lovely mini greenhouse which I have my eye on.

I did some digging at the other end (the not-yet-underwater bit) to remove the roots under the surface. It's all going to be rotavated once I've gone over it once myself.

I also removed the chicken wire fence between the plots so we can roam freely.

DH and the kids came and we put our sink into to ground to make our mini pond. I need to finish it off, but that's a next weekend job now! We made sure we put big stones and a log in for creatures to climb out if they fall in straight away though.

It's been sunny here since about 11-ish. Bloody chilly in the wind though.

Some of the allotments are very underwater; we're lucky!
