I have loads of washing to do. I still haven't folded anything from the weekend. Bleurgh. We're having a day at home although if I write the pre court letter I will need to go to the post office and send it signed for so they can't claim they didn't get it. Maybe special delivery. I've got the directors name (he's younger than me...) and address from companies house so will send it there.

WreckTangled · 19/02/2020 10:14

I've booked the cinema for tomorrow. £16 for the four of us I see Dolittle. Going with mil. Las iguanas are doing kids eat free for half term so will probably go there too. It's quite a drive away but worth it for the cheap cinema!

EmrysAtticus · 19/02/2020 12:30

Hope you enjoy your lazy day too wreck :) we have plans every other day this half term so very much enjoying having a day of not needing to be anywhere.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 19/02/2020 16:10

Hi everyone. Well a busy day off for me. Had to try and sort some mum issues out and take my daughter's hamster to the vets for a claw clip as he is too fidgety (and he screams) for me to do. I live the dream here.

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 16:38

Afternoon everyone 😃
@flouncyfanny still not here, has anyone an idea if she is ok ? I do hope so 🤗🤞
Fluffy l am looking for critical illness for Dd2 , the Halifax quoted 16 a month on a decreasing amount over the years coinciding with the mortgage. I have found life ins and critical illness for 17 no decrease in amount over the years. I am afraid the Halifax adviser is not trying to help Dd2 find the least expensive options despite Dd2 needing help in this. Too busy Flogging their own products. 🙄
Glad the journey was good coming back & you have sorted the washing! 😁👍
@EmrysAtticus your day sounds perfect 🤗
@WreckTangled pm me your address m'dear l have 2 pkts of Terry's eggs with your name on 😂. I have been looking for weeks since you said , they are nowhere to be found ! There were 2 pkts left in my local Tesco and l grabbed them for you. 😁👍
Have them on me and enjoy them, only wish they'd had more 🤗👍
The cinema sounds fabulous, hope Dolittle is good too 🤗
Went to town to buy tickets for my mum to give to her friend for her birthday, delivered them and delivered 2 christening presents too. My DH suffers from cramp sometimes, do you think I could get Crampex for him today? Apparently they are not manufactured anymore 😱 .
l had to break it gently to him 😂

WreckTangled · 19/02/2020 16:46

Mrs that's a shame re the crampex as far as I know there's no OTC alternative. Quinine from the GP is all I can think of. Also thank you soooooo much I will pm you you've cheered me up Grin still feeling crap about the car. DH is telling me not to antagonise them in case it goes to court and we lose Hmm

I was planning cottage pie for dinner but I can't be bothered now so pizza it is. Not for me I'll have something else.

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 17:43

Wreck you won't lose the case m'dear , they have behaved atrociously to you. No judge worth their wig would find in their favour. @NoWordForFluffy will tell you !
Quinine from the Dr IS the only options , will make him an appt , he will be happy Grin
Have a nice tea and relax it will all come out in the wash Flowers
Will post eggs tomorrow, just enjoy them, you are very welcome Smile

CrazyBaubles · 19/02/2020 18:09

I hope everyone who was having a lazy day has enjoyed it today, I am very jealous!
Back to work with a bump for me yesterday as work has suddenly become much busier. DH is on half term though so he basically does 90% of housework leaving me some much needed breathing space although it kills me to leave him tucked up in bed in the mornings

The weather here is awful, it's been raining on and off all day and it's bitterly cold. I'm locking myself in until I have to leave in the morning!

TheWoollybacksWife · 19/02/2020 19:40

It's been grim here too Crazy. I dropped DD2 at the station this afternoon and then went into town to stock up on the things I buy in bulk (bog roll, washing tabs and dishwasher tabs - oh the glamour!) the rain was flipping freezing. The short trip from the shop to the car was unpleasant.

In other news I have technically bought my first Christmas present of the year as DD2 scored JLS tickets this morning in the presale and has asked for it to be a gift.

Mumbassa2 · 19/02/2020 21:17

Hi everyone, I just want to post to clear the air. I was admitted into hospital after my Daunts anniversary. I really struggled with my mental health and needed to be monitored. I am getting back on track now, I’m currently on citalopram as well as propranolol to control my depression and anxiety. I have also been diagnosed with folate deficiency anemia and am currently on folic acid to increase my intake. I felt before I left that a few of you were ignoring my posts, I completely understand that you’ve had an influx of trolls on here, and I’m sure my leaving couldn’t have helped with that. However, I am not a troll and if there’s anyway that I can prove that (without giving out my old username, there was a lot of stuff on there that I don’t want to follow me here) then I will. If it is better for everyone for me to not post on here then I completely understand. Obviously I would like to continue posting and if I can I’d like to start with a blank slate. But it’s down to all of you.

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 22:17

Mumbassa l hope you are feeling much better now, it's awful feeling so low and anxious. Specially when we have children and they need us so much, the responsibility seems overwhelming. I remember when l was poorly after having DD2 and l was so worried about dying & leaving my DDS without a Mum, l was terrible. l kept going to the Dr's and A & E for help because my anxiety made me feel like l was going to die . I was so frightened . I think you must do whatever you feel comfy with here , only you can decide what you feel is best for you. If coming here helps you then that is fine but if you feel anxious and are worried then that is not good for you . See how you feel and review it from time to time , the most important thing is that you are ok , that is all that matters , Flowers

PJMasksGhekko · 19/02/2020 22:27

why, I have also been vets, the menace dog was due her yearly booster, £74 later we are good to go, that does include, the booster, 2 worming tablets and 3 months flea tablets.
She hates getting into the car, but once she's in it she's ok, she annoys me very often, but I do love her bonker things she does, she's a part of the family.

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 22:39

Crazy , that is a bgr having to go to work when DH is still in bed m'dear , never mind love , let him pamper you all this week Smile
Woolly that is fab getting the tickets for JLS well done ! Smile
Mum to sort out tomorrow then to take up to Bob's Grin she's happier at least Smile
Have to get to bed have a good sleep everyone Smile

Mrsmadevans · 19/02/2020 22:50

@Why l missed your post re the GP'S nails being clipped ahhh l couldn't do that either Shock but funny enough l can do humans Grin l went in to see the NDN this afternoon and ended up clipping his too it was gross , he couldn't help it but they were vile Envy
@PJMasksGhekko glad the mad bow wow is ok Grin , £74 doesn't seem too bad tbh , l used to pay £60 for 6 months flea treatment Program injection Shock it worked mind Grin
Right better shift
Night everyone Smile

Morning! We have more 40+ mph winds from today, the joy. I actually got DH to collect me from the station yesterday as it was chucking it down.

I'll have to brave the allotment this weekend though as I didn't go last week due to my plans changing. Hopefully I'll avoid a Final Destination moment!

Crazy, when DH got to stay in bed when I went to work I hated it. He gets up with me now, so it's not as bad!

I'm flat out after 2 days off. It's not helped by having to get my client to agree to change towns for her trial tomorrow, but then having it pulled at 3pm. Frustrating.

I once made DD bleed when I cut her nails. It's DH's job now! I couldn't do a small animal!

Not exactly a cheap trip to the vet, PJ. Do you have her insured in case something big goes wrong?

And yay re the first present, Woolly. I'm not there yet! 🎅🏻 🎁 Envy

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/02/2020 06:54

Hi folks hope all is OK with you all. Mrs I was worried about cutting his paws off as he was so wriggly and the vet struggled but she managed the worst ones. At least he did not scream which is one of his things to do.

Mumbassa2 glad you are feeling better. I work in Crisis Mental Health and I am surprised on the medication you are on. It is usually far stronger for a hospital admission.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/02/2020 07:03

I couldn't be doing with a squealing hamster! 😱😱😱 That shit would freak me out!

WreckTangled · 20/02/2020 07:09

I find it's neat to step away from the internet when feeling anxious etc it's too easy to over analyse everything. That's why I sometimes disappear Grin

Looking forward to today even though the weather is going to be awful. The cinema we're going to is at a dockyard so right by the sea. Might get blown away!

Dd is desperate for some Adidas leggings Hmm so hopefully we can find some in the outlet today maybe mil will pay

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/02/2020 07:14

PJ luckily hamster claws do not cost that much. Usually £8 but she charged us £4 because she could not do them all. The little sod sat in his house with his back to us all afterwards. I have never seen a sulking hamster before.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/02/2020 07:16

Wreck Maybe you should buy a load of rope and tie yourself to a post or something.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 20/02/2020 07:22

Fluffy it is hideous when he screams and he does it alot even in his sleep.

NoWordForFluffy · 20/02/2020 07:37

Ah. He's related to DS then who has full blown arguments with DD in his sleep!

Wreck, I agree re stepping away from the Internet; it's not that great for mental health at times.

Look at the size of this giant cat. Hairspray for scale.

January has lasted for about 5 months so far...has it not ended yet?! It's Countdown to Christmas 2020, Thread 2!
Mrsmadevans · 20/02/2020 08:18

Morning everyone 😀
I totally agree with stepping off from the net when shit is happening. When my Dad died last year I wasn't able to even think about the net for about A month at least . Even here, with you all supporting me like you do🤗
GP sounds a little bgr @whydoesitalwayshappentome 😂😂😂 they are so appealing though ♥️
Fluffy it's mean you back in work when the DC are off 💐
Good luck with the trial 👍🤞
Wind is coming up here like hell 😱
Better shift 🤗
