They won't have them. They don't get the card details through a card machine transaction. You'll need to ring them, I'd think, as they can't refund you from the purchase. Data protection and all that!

WreckTangled · 17/02/2020 15:54

Thanks for that. I'll wait and see I suppose, they haven't said anything about needing to ring me....

NoWordForFluffy · 17/02/2020 15:57

I wouldn't be waiting for them! I'd be on the phone asking how they're refunding you! We know they're cowboys, so don't give them leeway.

Ffs they’re asking for paperwork. I’m assuming they mean the V5. Waiting for them to confirm what paperwork. I can’t phone them because I want everything on email for evidence.

No mrs they're refusing until they have the new owner slip of the log book which I can't give them because I don't have it

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 17/02/2020 21:47

Hi folks I have had a busy day doing some training. Then I met the lovely Fluffy for a drink this evening.

Mrsmadevans · 17/02/2020 22:37

Wreck are they prevaricating until you have run out of time. I have never heard such a load of gumpf in my life . They really are utter wankers , l am so sorry my dear Wreck Flowers
@why you are so lucky l wish we had all been there too , l know you are sisters but there would have bin room for us lot of wimmen lol Grin

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 06:51

I don't think they are. You can return a car for a refund up to six years after you bought it Grin but they just keep repeating that they need the log book they don't care about the consumer rights act etc. So now we've got to put a £4K car on a credit card until we get our money back. Today I'll be writing letter (write or email?) detailing all the additional expenses we've incurred and giving them the opportunity to pay them before starting a court claim (I think I have to do this before I can proceed with a claim?).

Ds has football today an hour away with all the U7 in the county for his training academy. I have to watch for three hours.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/02/2020 06:55

What a nightmare Wreck.

Mrs that would have been great to have a Christmas thread meet up and a drink or two.

Morning.

I hate staying in hotels! 😴 Especially when 'D'H drops something and wakes us at 5.30, then goes back to sleep, leaving me with a moaning DS who wants to have philosophical conversations about Tom and bloody Jerry. Angry

You only have the automatic right to reject for 30 days, so it wouldn't surprise me if they're stringing it out. But as long as it's in writing (email is fine) within the 30 days that you're rejecting it, that should cover you. But you don't want to have to sue really. I'd call the DVLA again as I'm not sure they've sent the V5 to them. We had ours really quickly when we bought our car.

We're visiting my parents today after seeing why last night. ❤️❤️ Then we're off home. Thankfully the kids should sleep through most of the journey after rubbish sleep last night!

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 18/02/2020 07:18

Haha your boy is funny Fluffy although I appreciate not so much when you are living discussing Tom and Jerry at stupid o'clock.

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 07:20

I'll ring the DVLA and go from there. They've said the new keeper slip should not be in my possession due to the fact I've returned the car to them.

Sounds like a lovely day fluffy. Ds is still asleep which is good as he will need lots of energy for football. I'm going to give him some medicine before we go as he's always in lots of pain in his legs and knees after training.

Mrsmadevans · 18/02/2020 08:13

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 08:15

Mrs ds is still asleep! I won't get anything sorted today. It'll be months I reckon. I hope you have a nice day I don't think the rain is going to be too bad over the next few days hopefully there'll be some sunshine to follow

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 08:16

This made me laugh

January has lasted for about 5 months so far...has it not ended yet?! It's Countdown to Christmas 2020, Thread 2!
Mrsmadevans · 18/02/2020 08:30

Oh God @WreckTangled l hope you are paid back soon 🤞🤞🤞
Your Ds has the right idea 😁
Made me lol too 😂
It's all you can do really nothing else to do but take it on the chin .
Good luck with the phone call to the DVLA 👍😁

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 08:36

The dvla haven't revived it yet but they're working on ones received on the 11th and the garage are claiming they sent it on the 10th so I'll have to give it a few more days.

WreckTangled · 18/02/2020 18:25

I stood out in the horizontal freezing rain for three hours. It was windy too. I feel exhausted and I wasn't the one running around!

TheWoollybacksWife · 18/02/2020 19:40

Goodness Wreck if you had the same rain/hail storm we had you must have been saturated and frozen.

I've been to the hygienist today so I keep running my tongue over my squeaky clean teeth.

Tonight I'm snuggling down with a cup of tea, my knitting, the footy and MN.

Hope you are home safely Fluffy

PJMasksGhekko · 18/02/2020 21:17

Evening!!!

Not happy with the footy so far!

DD2 doesn't understand that bedtime for normal children is a lot earlier than what she goes sleep, she's a stubborn sod. Nothing like me when I was that age, not at all Grin

Mrsmadevans · 18/02/2020 22:06

Well done Wreck, sticking with Ds and his team Smile
PJ l am sure you weren't Grin , not watching the footy here , we are watching The Brits , l am so pleased Lewis Capaldi won the best single. I loved it.
Woolly l know the feeling of the beautiful smooth clean teeth it's lovely Smile
I have been busy going through the paperwork for DD2 house, it's
been a long old day doing that Hmm nevermind l think it is sorted now and we just have to wait for the paperwork to go through.
The Halifax mortgage advisor was trying to push a critical illness policy but l don't think it is necessary tbh.
Hey ho l better get to bed , have a good night sleep everyone Smile

Morning! It's still quite breezy here (and set to get worse at the weekend!). The washing we did when we got home has dried overnight. I put some other bits out this morning, but it's set to rain, so DH will bring it in before he goes to work. The lighter stuff will probably almost-dry in those 3 hours though!

Woolly, the journey was fine and it only added about 15-20 minutes to the journey by avoiding that big chunk of M6. The sat nav was a bit confused, but it was OK!

Wreck, I'm so glad that DS doesn't play football! He's doing a taster session after school for a few weeks, but hopefully he won't get really into it! Grin

Mrs, that mortgage advisor is a pain in the neck. Unless it's a condition of the mortgage, tell her to do one! While it probably is a good idea, it's bloody expensive, so is a luxury really.

Ha, PJ, I think the stubbornness comes from nan! Grin

I hope everything gets sorted out with your car wreck

We had a busy day in Cardiff yesterday so as it is due to rain here today we are having a lazy PJ day :) Love that DS has reached the age where that is actually possible. I will have to sort out some indoor activities later but for now he is happy watching Cbeebies.
