Afternoon!! Still full of cold, have been taking tablets for it, my head is throbbing grrrrr.

Sunny but very cold here.
Going to take the dog for a walk then go Asda, Dd2 got some Pj's for Christmas and she actually wore them last night, she is very funny about clothing, likes to wear similar things, never dresses, always nighties, so for her to wear Pj's is a massive thing, so I'm going to get her another pair

I settled 3 files yesterday, so today I need to sort trial prep for a trial next week. They're like buses! 😂 I've also got a short hearing tomorrow that I need to attend. Busy, busy!

Fluffy I've been reading the CRA so I'm up to speed. I just need to get them to accept it because otherwise I'll have to take them to the small claims court. Where I will win. Just waiting for the garage to tell me exactly what's wrong and then I'll phone them. I know I should do it in writing but I'm hoping they'll accept it and I won't have to go through official routes.

Taking today as a sick day because I'm so stressed. Plus I don't have a car.

When we were first married it creased us because we bought cars that were fit for nothing and in the end we got a bank loan and bought a decent one but it was so stressful and so expensive 🙄

Thanks everyone. I'm also stressing about the V5C book. Obviously we haven't received it yet but I would assume the dealership have already updated the dvla online. I don't know how we would hand it back to them because we would have to get them to sign the new owner slip and right now we don't have it and I'm not going all the way up there when we do get it just for them to sign it. I suppose that's a worry for another day though. It'll also cost me to change my insurance and roadside cover over. If it ends up going to small claims I will be adding all of these costs onto the claim

Sunshine and chilly but far less wind and warmer than recently here. I needed petrol on my way to the station this morning (car running on fumes...) so went to the not quite so local garage and dropped dry cleaning so I can collect it at the weekend. I need to go close to there anyway as I need to buy wood, and do a proper food shop, on Saturday. Busy week at work, but getting through a few things and managing to do a couple of good turns for others (there is no training in a specific type of analysis we need to do, and another section needs to do one urgently, so I was asked to give them a tutorial to get them going in the meantime as I have been trained in it before, and the final mentoring meeting with my mentee before the programme finishes up today).

It's showery here and already flooded. It's going to be awful at the weekend.

Oh I have good news on my electricity bill. Before our new heating system we were paying £115 a month all year round. It took us summer to lay off winter iyswim. This time round our usage has gone down 46% and we've used about £105 a month having the heating on whenever we want I often forget to turn it off when I go to work too so in the summer we should be much better off.

Amber weather warnings for Sunday now. Good job it's half term next week!

Car report back and it has been bodged. Have written confirmation that the garage will refund us but radio silence since. I'm not afraid of taking them to court but I could really do without the hassle and loss of money for that period. If I do have to take them to court I'll be claiming any additional costs I can from them.
