He won't be late Fluffy - I cancelled the alarms after they had woken me but I meant to snooze. DH was away last night so I'm in sole charge. I was bound to cock something up. At least I locked up and put the milk bottles out.

It's windy here too which will be fun as we are having the patio doors taken off and rehung today.

Dad has been gone nearly a year and I think she has suffered enough. If Bob can give her a bit of happiness in her last years, then l am the last person to complain. I have told Bob to knock the front door and then walk in because Mum cannot hear the doorbell or the knocking on the door. Of course this is wrong to my sister, he also had a little food mark on his jumper and sister told Mum 'he's a dirty old bastard' . Now l don't like food stains on myself or anyone else , l do know, especially when ppl get older, these stains happen accidentally. Mum has them herself and l insist upon making her change her top, she doesn't care though 😁
Honestly l don't know why she is so vindictive. Mum was terribly upset last night about it. Nothing l can do really except support her.
My sister and brother are the only ppl who have voiced their displeasure about Bob. Everyone else is happy for them 😊. It may all end in tears but if it does then it won't be any worse than Mum has been since Dad passed . Fluffy old age has hit you indeedy 😁
Fanny this life ahhh it was wonderful , we watched it and l must thank you for the heads up l will catch up with it on Bbc 4 . I think Fluffy would love it . It's young lawyers trying to get a rung on the ladder if l remember rightly but it is do much more as well. Very handsome young men and very pretty young ladies and the adorable 'Egg' ♥️♥️♥️ he was always destined to be famous .

I'm here. My feet have just about defrosted. I hid in the kitchen while they were working. We needed a new threshold installing as the one put in when the house was built was inadequate but the doors had to come out first. All sorted but it smells of mastic.

MrsMad I hope your mum and Bob are good companions. I would imagine loneliness in old age is particularly difficult. Good for your mum to have someone to share with. Even better that it's pissed your sister off.

Fanny, Dsis is really pissed off big time ! I don't know why though really but she is pulling the ' l was very close to my Father , l am heartbroken and l am grieving' card. I wouldn't mind but l did everything for Dad, even showered him and took him for his blood transfusions we used to be there 9 hours . So that is how much she loved him. 'I can't do personal care' & 'her DH , 'my wife can't be expected to look after her Father's personal care '. l just got on with it , no thought given to me at all
Woolly , am glad your windows are done it must be a huge relief for you all Mum and Bob get on like a house on fire. Mum can't wait to see him , she went at 1.30 rang me at 5 to say she was coming home then and l said why are you coming now, stay a bit longer and she came home at 7.15 . She is like a kid again

Mrs, it is the money. Look how she reacts to your mum giving money as presents. It's all about her worry that the money won't be there for her. Maybe control as well, but money is a big factor, IMO.

Cool, dry and no wind to speak of today (I think it's run out after the last few days ). The washing is out anyway, so hopefully there'll be a breeze of sorts going on!
