Morning all.

I could have sworn that I posted yesterday but it must have been a figment of my imagination Grin.

Hospital appointment this morning, then trip to the butchers. I'll see what offers they have and meal plan around it.

Fluffy try a heat pack too to relax the muscles.

Mrsmadevans · 03/02/2020 09:46

Mrs round our way is the same. They're building a new dual carriageway and the traffic is atrocious. If the weather wasn't so bad I'd just walk.

Afternoon all, been to the GP today about my anxiety. It all seems to be looking good, I’ve referred for counselling.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/02/2020 19:11

It's coming to the end of the financial year, so it's 'use it or lose it' time for the highways dept! We've got temporary bloody lights everywhere we go at the moment.

Good evening folks.

Woolly I left very early to try and survive the chaos. It wasn't too bad but I was there very early. (Better than late though).

I had a good day. Very busy, very interesting and lots to learn. My brain aches a bit.

How is your DD PJ?
I was prepped ready for my periods to start and told my auntie (she's only 10 years older than me and seemed so young compared to my parents). She was amazing.
Dsis told me and refused to tell mum at all 🙄

Also, I'm with Fluffy re the dishwasher. It's an essential in my marriage - the rows over washing up in this house were ridiculous!

Thank you for the cross stitch advice flouncy. I'll keep plodding on with it - I've done a tiny bit tonight.

You're such a good dd MrsMad. I'm also impressed with your mums party stamina 😂

I was just about to say roadworks aren't really bothering me here but I found a new 3 way temporary light set on my way to slimming (outside Croesy comp for the locals).

Mumbassa I'm glad your GP is dealing with it properly and you got your referral.

why I think I've missed something. Have you started a new job?

I've had an odd day. I barely slept last night (think I managed 4.5 broken hours).
Today I had to deal with some rude customers (I'm not usually customer facing but today there was no cover and some awful people wanting to speak to someone 'higher up' 🙄

I didn't have much patience if I'm honest but I have been super efficient today.
I also reached my 1 stone weight loss today💃🏼 It's taken 2 months but I wasted weeks putting and losing Christmas weight so I'm not beating myself up about that.

I'm not watching the last 5 mins of Silent Witness then going to bed 😴

Fanny , the cake was amazing so delish you wouldn't believe it we were all amazed!
My Mum has a suitor called Bob , he has known Mum from her hairdressers for years, he used to take his wife, also called Barbara the same time as Mum. His wife died in October and he has suddenly arrived on the scene. My Mum feels very guilt ridden over my Dad but honestly it is just companionship and friendship and a shared very sad experience. I am fine about it because Mum is in full possession of all her faculties and at the age of 88 she may as well be happy for however long she has left. What a surprise for us all though and my DB & DSis have not taken it very well to say the least Grin. It's WAR !
I like him , he is a perfect gentleman to Mum and she says he just kisses her hand and l thought that was so sweet. He escorted Mum to the car , opened the door for her and put her belt on, he then opened the car door for ME! I think no matter how old you are inside you think just the same way as you did when young.
So l think Good Luck to them !

Mrsmadevans · 03/02/2020 23:18

Crazy well done m'dear that is excellent going!
Cross stitch is getting there Smile
My Mum doesn't actually do anything toward the parties, except pay for the food , she just sits, eats , drinks and talks Grin
Lots of us been having broken nights sleep God knows why ! Smile
@why Well done on a good day in work m'dear Flowers

Best get to bed, have a good nights sleep everyone Smile

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 04/02/2020 07:08

Morning Crazy. Yes I started a new job in the NHS yesterday. I hope my brain can take the strain with it all.

Hi folks have a good day. Day two driving round the countryside in my little car today

Mad - your mum's suitor sounds lovely absolutely ideal for her.

Morning!

I think it's lovely for your mum to have a companion, Mrs. At their age it's a massive change to suddenly be alone after so long. I'm glad they have each other.

We started to watch an older Silent Witness the other day, Crazy. It may have been the series which culminated in the Mexico(?) programmes. If it was, that's the series that stopped us watching it as my disbelief couldn't be suspended that much! So much common sense gland removed storyline. Grin

I did watch last night though; we've seen most of this series. Well, I say 'watch', I was cross stitching my church so was listening / watching out of focus!

I should get through a fair bit tonight as I'm doing sky, so big chunks of colour.

I think you're right to carry on with your cross stitch. I'm sure that once it's done and framed you won't really notice it.

A 'bit' blowy?! It's hideous! I was - again - fearful of a Final Destination moment on my walk to the station (I've always been wary in high winds, but the person killed by a sign falling from shops the other year sealed it for me).

We were woken by the wind and the hail overnight. I'm glad that stopped before I left the house as I'd have had my skin removed by hail exfoliation!

No, I didn't see This Life. I'm not sure why! We tend to stick to factual stuff in the main these days (programmes about countryside, trains, various train stations / the tube, quiz shows etc). I think old age has hit! 😂😂😂

A hard hat won't prevent decapitation Good idea, flouncy!

The hail was at 2.15. I had to get up for a wee after being woken up!
