I ❤️❤️ wundaweb! My work dresses get done every so often.

Crazy, I'm sorry you've been unwell. I hope you're fully better soon.

Yay re the mortgage, Mrs. Speedy. I reckon 4-6 weeks, tops!

We’ve meal planned for this week, mrs I do find it’s helped me reduce cost and also waste. DH was like yours. He once turned to his mum and said “I bet you haven’t washed my clothes have you”, he was 18 years old ffs, he can wash his own bloody clothes!. God help him if he ever said something like that to me.

CrazyBaubles · 31/01/2020 20:32

DH did need some work. He was notorious for taking clothes off in random rooms and expecting me to basically traipse around and collect then if I was putting on a load of washing Shock
He learned sharpish when I obviously didn't do that and he ran out of socks / T-shirt's 🙄

Flouncy / Fluffy what is your experience like with DMC cross stitch kits? My beach house one is a DMC but the crosses seem to be leaving a lot of white and I'm worried it'll look rubbish.

Mumbassa we do an Aldi Shop then a Tesco one for the bits we don't get in Aldi. I don't mind as Tesco is on the way home although DH has started adding an ad-hoc Iceland shop now too because he loves their chicken wings 🙄

Mumbassa · 31/01/2020 20:37

My DH was like that too, I used to look forward to getting into bed and then I’d walk into the bedroom and his clothes were thrown everywhere. He also had habit for leaving his shampoo bottles out when he was done in the shower, rather than putting them back where they belong. And leaving cupboard doors open when he was finished cooking. I’m quite proud of what I’ve achieved to reign in tbh😂 he was a bloody animal, and then we had DD and he realised I wasn’t going to be doing anything else for him.

Aldi is going the opposite direction to Tesco here, whereas Morrison’s is next to where we usually go. I think we will try Morrison’s our as DS1 can be very snobby about own brand things such as crisps😂

I've only done those Snowdog / Snowman ones of DMC. I have a Christmas tree one which I've not done yet, but it's all white stitching, so will be fine!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 31/01/2020 21:17

That's what I thought Fluffy, I did a snowdog one and it was fine.

I've attached pics (I've barely started but as you can see from the pattern, every square has a stitch on it!!

My DH was 19yo when I acquired him - barely an adult Xmas Grin

He's been a work in progress but I reckon I'll keep him .

We have got the first month of the year over (January is never a favourite month) but no Resolutions were made here , so none to break. !

Morning!

Another rubbish night's sleep again. Sigh. Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight. I'm allotmenting tomorrow rather than today as we've high winds forecast today and I don't want to freeze / get blown over!

The kids want to make gingerbread men this morning, I think, so we will do that in a bit. I'm not intending on doing too much, however!

Morning all.

In February finally!

Rugby starts today though I'm not hopeful for Ireland's chances.

I think we are going to kids club at the cinema today. £1.50 each so not too bad.

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 09:41

Morning 🌞
Am avoiding the Coronavirus/news/anything miserable this morning. I refuse to ruin a beautiful day.
Have a lot on this morning , taking Dd1 to Mum's , going to Merthyr to sort out food for another birthday party my Mum wants for her other circle of friends on Mon. I am the one dogsbody silly bgr who it all lands on 🙄
Hey ho such is life.
So to recap as much for me as for you 😂
Dd1 to Mum's
Vamos Bistro to pay & give tip
Merthyr for food for Monday
Back to Mum's get her ready for party
I am off to knit and nat
Going up to my BF to see little twin grandchildren
Home to collapse 😂😂😂

Mumbassa · 01/02/2020 09:56

Morning
It’s sunny but chilly here. I’m meeting up with family today as it has been a year since my aunt passed away. The whole family are scattered around the world so we’re all going for meals with our little families to celebrate her life❤️

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 10:44

On my way to Merthyr can read & reply tidy now 😂
Mumba that is so sweet of your family to do that. You obviously have a lovely family ❤️
Have a lovely time with your family ♥️🤗
Nero that is so cheap!! What are you going to see? Have a great time and don't worry re Ireland , it's all swings and roundabouts. The big thing is the whole rugby tradition and honour continues. Since my Dd2 has been working for WRU she feels the organisation is all to keep alive the history of the game. She loves it so much 😀

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 10:49

Fluffy , are you worried about anything , even if it's subconscious, to make your sleep routine so messed up m'dear. I think it is a good idea to take it quietly today and making gingerbread with your DC sounds just perfect 😍👌

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 10:58

Fluffy hope you are right re the mortgage, she can't wait and though l don't want her to go l know how much she is looking forward to it 🤗
Wundaweb is amazing l would use it for my own clothes but not for my Friends Mum 😂
She's very old fashioned and very nice so l will take the whole 2 hours to take the hems up 😂😂😂 they will be crap but hey ho 😁
70 you got yours young m'dear , best way imho 😁😁😂😂😂
Now where on Earth has Wreck gone? I bet she is frantically looking for a new car bless her. 😀
Nearly at Merthyr , so l will spk LTR this evening after the rugby 🙄🙄🙄😁

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2020 11:01

Fanny how are you today m'dear hope you are feeling much better 💐🤗 & have you thought about the solution to the cross stitch conundrum 😀🤗💐👍👏

NoWordForFluffy · 01/02/2020 11:02

I don't know, maybe, Mrs. It's annoying whatever is causing it!

Gingerbread is made. I'm loitering in the kitchen in my dressing gown while the Yorkshires cook.

Sometimes it's good to have a lazy day!

The mortgage is sorted, so it's just the searches which will take the time now. Has the solicitor done those, do you know? As long as the solicitor is efficient, and the council, there's no reason for it to take any longer than 6 weeks, especially as it's empty and ready to move in to.

Enjoy your day, Mrs!

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 01/02/2020 11:08

Flouncy, avoiding the allotment is also about self preservation and not suffering a Final Destination moment with flying plot debris!

This is the recipe we use. It's really gingery. Some use barely any ginger!

Are you on the mend now (other than being twatted in the face with a door)?!
