DD is up again, she’s just been sick. I thought she was getting better, but I think all the mucus she swallowed has upset her belly. We need to paint a cross on our door, we’re all full of the lurgy. I’ve attached a picture of the medicine we’re getting through😂

Morning!

Dry and a touch warmer today (not warm, but warm enough that I got relatively warm on my walk to the station). The washing should get dry at least!

I didn't sleep amazingly well last night. I forgot to check that a delegated task was done yesterday and it played on my mind (I needed a conference call booking for this morning). I'll check as soon as I get in that it's done! I'm sure it is as I know it was being sorted.

We have some ridiculously expensive houses really near to us and many ex-footballers living nearby! World class golfing is an attraction (when we had The Open the other year, the spectator buses parked along our road. Annoying).

Death in Paradise is great. Old fashioned, gentle, TV! I love that kind of thing.

Mrs, speaking of TV, did you see that LoD is back this year? Can't wait for that!

Today was quite warm in the end, 11 degrees apparently. Our office fluctuated between -10° and 40° though, due to the stupid aircon.

The booking had been done, but had a mistake in it, so it's a good job I checked. The hearing went in my favour too; my Barrister said it was very satisfying as the other side got a bollocking for forcing me to apply instead of just agreeing to my request! I was rather pleased.

I had to spend 30 minutes on hold to a different Court earlier as they've made a mistake in something they've ordered. I managed to multi task, thankfully, so it wasn't totally dead time!

It's fake Friday today. I'm having a drink later. Maybe 2!

Hi folks, I have been to see mum today then to see a friend as I start my new job next week and I don't know what my hours are (other than starting at 9am on Monday.

It will be shifts eventually but the service is new and there may be some time needed to set everything up.

It's Mum's Birthday on Sunday she is having an afternoon tea on Sat at a bistro for 10 of her BFF . I always get Mum loads of pressies, when l find things l know she would love l get them then forget what l got her & buy more . I got so much l am making her open a few things every day otherwise it's too much in one go
She opened her flower arrangement, jewelry and the lipsticks and slippers today , put the slippers on straight away and they fitted like a glove thankfully
We went to Llangors lake , took Mum with us for a ride & dropped her off at a friends for a cuppa and we went to Brecon to do her shopping. It was a lovely ride there and back , the weather really picked up, blue skies and sunny
I am so tired now though, l ironed DD work clothes this morning , sorted her Asos parcel out , there were so many holes in the plastic bag we had to do the parcel up like a Mummy with gaffer tape . Took it to the PO , went to Mum's, sorted her out, then changed Mum's bed and washed it and hung it out. Prepared her 3 weeks of tablets 12 in the morning only 3 at night into those plastic pots for the week and cooked her cauliflower and broccoli cheese for her lunch. We came home and collapsed !
I think all this with Dds house is knackering us both out too. It's a long time since we did anything to do with house buying, forgotten how stressful it is . Had a little pang today over the thought of her leaving forever. I don't like it at all
Hey ho, it's normal & natural and l am behaving myself l don't show it in front of her and we will get used to it l know, she is only 30 miles away . It is just a bit emotional but l am sure we will be fine .
On a brighter note , DD2 picked up my Mum's cake from Costco , it cost 14.99 it's massive ! a little bit gaudy for my liking but My Mum will love it !

I've spent the day wrestling with technology setting up file sharing so my niece can access the files of photos my brother collated to do a slide show at my DM's cremation. I have to admit that I wasn't really in a fit state to take them in at the time but there are some amazing photos of my parents in the late 1940's and early 1950's including a stunning photo of their wedding that I'd never seen before.
