So I'm all done presents wise. I've spent a fortune even by my own standards - between the two kids they have consoles, £70 controllers, an iPhone, all the other bits and pieces so it's more than enough

And what do I find myself doing? Ordering several Crazy Aaron putty sets, a Switch game, a £60 cat print and a kindle fire HmmHmm

Anyone else?

Damn another 2 twitches for me! Dvds and a screw driver for dd2. Apologies for those I've forced to buy nifflers 😁 I'm putting chocolate coins in the pouch and naming them! I though penny for one, treasure and sparkles!!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 18/12/2018 22:33

I hadn't thought of names for the nifflers! I do have chocolate coins and fake diamonds from Poundland for them (wedding section 40 for £1)

Pinkvici22 · 18/12/2018 22:42

Oh dear...it’s happened again....

DD mentioned the Osmo creative thing on amazon - it’s on offer but has been OOS (which I’d convinced myself was fate!). Had a quick peek tonight and it was back in stock. I bought it, an accessory and 2x more presents for DH. What is wrong with me?!

Piebeansandchips · 19/12/2018 02:14

After declaring to DH that I'd finished all the wrapping he looked a bit shamefaced and admitted he'd twitched and ordered another present for DS as he felt he hadn't been involved in Christmas shopping 🙄

Isadora2007 · 19/12/2018 05:54

I also twitched on the Kano wand. But have not bought stadium tour tickets for the Spurs stadium in case it’s not open to the public when we visit London!

Vicious2018 · 19/12/2018 11:41

Yes. I got pikmipops mega pack for £8.25 from Tesco. I think it sells £20-30.

sophisticatedsarcasm · 19/12/2018 14:27

Twitched today, some l.o.l pjs from work that were reduced and with my staff discount they only cost £3.20. Pleasures of working in a clothing shop 😂😂

Winterfellwonderland · 19/12/2018 23:19

Does anyone else switch gifts around I.e buy a gift for someone then when wrapping it decide to give it to someone else. I think I’ve done this with about every gift today woops

BatCakes · 19/12/2018 23:21

@Winterfellwonderland yes with things like chocolates I do

Twitched again tonight for the husband. £38 CL boxers and £30 refill for his Diptique car diffuser

HollySwift · 19/12/2018 23:29

Winterfell I’ve done that this year! Bought DS3 a Jurassic world Lego set but then he got into Harry Potter so I’ve got those ones and DS2 can have the JW one. Luckily he’s pretty easy going and will just say ‘ooooh lego’ Grin

Lovemusic33 · 20/12/2018 07:45

Twitched yesterday and ordered dd a writing tablet, she doesn’t need one, thought it might be good for when we are camping in the summer but will probably never get played with.

Food twitches don’t count, I’m picking up extra food most days and changing my online order.

Bumbumtaloo · 20/12/2018 13:46

I’m so tempted to twitch and buy DD2 a Loveabella they are only £34.99 in Aldi, I know she’d absolutely adore it but, and it’s a big but, it would mean getting DD1 something else and I’m already all out of ideas for her because it’s her birthday on the 28th.

jacksonmaine · 20/12/2018 14:00

Yes for an LOL pop up store £29.99 in Argos but also a junior Meccano set. I can't deide which one to get! Heart says LOL head says Meccano! I may have to get both! Confused

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 20/12/2018 15:07

Food twitches don’t count,oh good, (frantic shopping list writing in progress).

Yes that's why I prefer not to use stick on gift labels. Xmas Wink

twoundertwo54321 · 20/12/2018 16:09

I've done so much twitching that I saw reason last night and put enough stuff aside for my youngests birthday in a month or so lol. Also kept one big pressie for oldest to open on youngest bday. Felt so embarrassed at how much I'd got but now just feel smug that I've done Xmas and birthday buying lol

TheBigBangRocks · 20/12/2018 18:40

Yes, several times but not counting them though as never really claimed to have finished the shopping Grin

Mazzystarlett · 20/12/2018 19:00

I thought it was just me that did this, I have found my people!

SassitudeandSparkle · 20/12/2018 19:02

My DD's birthday is in December as well, so I tend to have two twitches!

I had a slight but definite twitch earlier, having officially done Lidl for the hamper bits last week I mysteriously managed to find time again for another trip this afternoon and seem to have acquired three bags of miscellaneous chutneys and lebkutchen and similar odds and ends. I also took the time to moan at our local Lidl manager that I would have bought eight packs of their Speckulaten biscuits if they hadn't had palm oil in and no sign of 'sustainable' or 'RSPO' on the packaging.

I don't actually finish work until Saturday so still plenty of time for a bit more twitching though!

Bumbumtaloo · 20/12/2018 19:17

Yay! Twitch averted, well I told my mum about the Loveabella and she’s bought it. I’m going to twitch like this more often Xmas Grin

stayingaliveisawayoflife · 20/12/2018 19:27

Bought two of those trick puppy things that were £139 now £39 at very!

KiteMarked · 20/12/2018 19:32

Does it count as a twitch if you are spending money given by an elderly relative that can't get out much to do the shopping for your DC?
