Anyone else got the twitch yet?

So I'm all done presents wise. I've spent a fortune even by my own standards - between the two kids they have consoles, £70 controllers, an iPhone, all the other bits and pieces so it's more than enough

And what do I find myself doing? Ordering several Crazy Aaron putty sets, a Switch game, a £60 cat print and a kindle fire HmmHmm

Anyone else?

I’m off to town, I need to try hard not to twitch, I might get a few stocking fillers from Poundland as I don’t think I have enough to fill 2 stockings, other than that I don’t need anything, must stay strong,

Pinkvici22 · 16/12/2018 09:03

Can I ask where everyone is finding the LOL hair goals? They’re sold out everywhere!

CupoBlood · 16/12/2018 09:15

@BatPie the gummylights are nearly £30 is that right?

BatPie · 16/12/2018 09:16

@CupoBlood I got the £27 ish one but they have smaller £10 ones

@Pinkvici22 there's some available at the Entertainer

www.thetoyshop.com/collectibles/collectible-figures/L-O-L-Surprise%21-Makeover-Series-Hairgoals-%28Styles-Vary%29/p/537283

Apologies for enabling the twitch!!

sophisticatedsarcasm · 16/12/2018 11:34

@pinkvici22
Got mine from the entertainer. They only just came out last week. It arrived yesterday. Was reading the back and apparently the container it comes in is like a salon. The only problem with getting it from the entertainer is they aren’t doing click and collect which means paying an additional £4 for delivery 😩

Cheekysquirrel · 16/12/2018 12:24

Oh ffs. Now I’ve ordered a hair goals doll.

Cheekysquirrel · 16/12/2018 12:25

I hope we don’t get one of the ones that doesn’t actually have hair. It annoys me they’ve done that. Surely the whole point of them is that they have hair?!

BatPie · 16/12/2018 12:29

I'm so pleased we are past the LOL doll stage because I'm quite sure I'd have bought the whole damn lot Grin

I'm twitching for a Fitbit versa right now. Err for myself. Despite having an Apple Watch. To justify this slightly , my mum has offered to buy to buy it for me as a gift so hmmm... pondering!

Joining the Twitch, put an amazon order in of cds and various car bits for my dad as his presents looked pitiful next to my mums Blush I don't normally go so mad with presents but they've been incredible this year.
I thought I was finished but I have 15mo DD and she hasn't got much. The rational side of me is saying enjoy this time, I don't have lists of wishes to fulfil and spend a fortune. The other part of me feels like a scrooge!
Any suggestions? She's got some wooden toys, pj's and we're going to buy her a mini armchair as she has recently taken to wanting to sit by herself (😭) but we'll be a bit stuck for space after that.
Tempted to cheat-Twitch and stuff some money into her pot (smash to open)..

CheekyFucker · 16/12/2018 14:12

Some of these twitches are more than my complete budget.

BatPie · 16/12/2018 14:35

@CheekyFucker everyone has different budgets I suppose Smile

Flutternotsoshy · 16/12/2018 14:41

I'm on a budget but I'm twitching over the Hawkins bazarr stockings for dp.
Luckily I don't get paid til Wednesday so can't act on it until then.
(If they're in stock then he's probably getting one lol)

oobedobe · 16/12/2018 15:00

After placing my 'last' Amazon order I did a classic twitch 24 hrs later when I realized I had strayed too far from the tat and that DD6 might love some of it; got her a lil gleemers pet...

Also realized that DD10 might also need something silly and fun to mess around with, got her a perplexus light speed maze puzzle, and also ANOTHER boardgame for the family; Double Shutter (like shut the box) which I have high hopes will be the addictive game of Christmas.

I am hoping that is it for twitching and feeling good ATM that I have covered all bases of wanted gifts, practical gifts, books etc, fun gifts and surprises!

Stay Strong!

Bumbumtaloo · 16/12/2018 16:11

I’ve done so well and despite looking I haven’t actually bought anything. I’m now hoping I can hold out until they can’t guarantee Christmas delivery (I do all of my shopping online due to my physical and mental health issues).

BatPie · 16/12/2018 18:24

I think I may be done. Trying not to twitch again. Wrapped up a few more gifts today

For the 20 year old - Essie nail set, sequin make up bag, hair ties

For the 12 year old, A couple of Copic pens ( not even I am twitching a full size of those!! Cost is extortionate), a Rubik's cube, and a Switch game

I think I'm done

Didiusfalco · 16/12/2018 18:31

I was doing well with the twitch until dd told Santa she wanted a unicorn Hmm, cue some speedy internet shopping. At least not a hard request. Also twitched on some books for ds, but decided that is educational and doesn’t count!

ShadyLady53 · 16/12/2018 18:32

Don’t go in HMV. I started twitching like mad and nearly bought presents for people I had no intention of buying for.

Twitched pretty badly in TK Maxx too.

Winterfellwonderland · 16/12/2018 18:42

I've spent around £70 per child and outsourced presents to relatives! Scaling back.this year big time !

LBOCS2 · 16/12/2018 18:43

Twitched to the tune of £50 in Primark this afternoon.

I'm not visiting any more shops before next week, so I should be ok. Unless I get any more bright ideas and decide to prime them...

AdoraBell · 16/12/2018 19:27

Picked up a lovely WW candle for stepsons GF. Not really a twitch as I’ve been looking for something for her. DH does his family’s gifts, or not if he doesn’t get around to it, but I’m more than willing to put the effort in for her.

Well done on cutting back Winter 👍

TheLionQueen1 · 16/12/2018 19:33

I've twitched massively today! Was wrapping my DS's presents and had decided to only get a few small things as he's 14 months old and knows no better, but then wrapped and felt guilty he didn't have a big present. Ended up going out have spent a small fortune on a ridiculous trike thing for him that is far too big for my front room and he definitely doesn't need Grin

elQuintoConyo · 16/12/2018 19:48

I twitched on a 50p Spongebob book and a tube of sweets with a cymbal-clashing monkey on top.

Far, far too broke to twitch.

BatPie · 17/12/2018 00:09

Just twitched on an energy stick and a wallet ninja

OP posts:
Jessica78 · 17/12/2018 08:18

Twitched on a Niffler... Damn!
