So I'm all done presents wise. I've spent a fortune even by my own standards - between the two kids they have consoles, £70 controllers, an iPhone, all the other bits and pieces so it's more than enough

And what do I find myself doing? Ordering several Crazy Aaron putty sets, a Switch game, a £60 cat print and a kindle fire HmmHmm

Anyone else?

Twitching like mad over here.

I have a newborn so decided I would be super organised and got all presents bought and wrapped and before he came along. Now I'm on maternity leave and glued to the sofa with a cluster feeding velcro-baby it's just too tempting to pass the time online shopping! Have bought a cheese baking and chutney set for DH and a necklace for my DM in the Debenhams sale today. Then decided that DD (5)'s stocking didn't look full enough so ended up ordering a LOL little sister doll and some other tat that she'll love but really doesn't need. I really need to stop now!

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 12/12/2018 18:08

Ooh another twitch today on an 850g bar of Cadbury’s dairy milk and a box of wine gums😂

@BatPie that’s really helpful, thanks. I LOVE the look of the ibeanie thingy and lush bath bombs are a must. Twitchety twitch Grin

Bumbumtaloo · 12/12/2018 20:12

I need to stop looking at this thread. I never had the urge to twitch, well apart from food, until I saw what others were buying. Must.Stay.Strong Xmas Grin

Funnyface1 · 12/12/2018 20:23

I've twitched and ordered a stick man!

LokiBear · 12/12/2018 20:32

I decided I was going for quality not quantity. I stuck to it. Then twitched. But 'quality not quantity' has means that my twitch has been small but expensive. Doh!

BrokenWing · 12/12/2018 20:56

I twitched last night and bought a bloody ipad because we only have one and ds wanted to use it for something for school at the same time as I was using it last night 😳

Haven't told dh yet 😱 and regretting it slightly. Not sure whether to give it to dh, ds or myself!!!!

Merrychristmasyoufilthyanimals · 12/12/2018 20:56

Boots 3for bastard 2 are bad for twitching i have to just keep telling myself they are hiked up price wise and not worth it! X

BatPie · 12/12/2018 21:10

Twitched again..

Pokken switch game

Sony headphones

Toroidz flow toy

Maze runner trilogy

MUST STOP

OP posts:
BatPie · 12/12/2018 21:10

@BrokenWing keep for yourself and give the other one to your DS.

There's your solution Grin

NeedToChangeMyLightBulb · 12/12/2018 21:13

Ordered Fitbit versa for DD14
But Next were out of stock in pink
(Paying on account 🤫)
Ordered black

Went to view in Currys but the Apple Watch looks 1000000000 times better but £50 more .....thoughts?!

BatPie · 12/12/2018 21:19

@NeedToChangeMyLightBulb I have the Apple Watch and it's decent. My dd has the Fitbit blaze and prefers that so it all depends on if you're a bit of an apple fiend to be honest - and the budget of course

Alexindisguise · 12/12/2018 21:27

I twitched today, I finished weeks ago Hmm

Ds is now getting extra a minecraft lunchbox, chilly bottle and a 24 piece set of mini Pokemon figures.

That's definitely it!

trixymalixy · 12/12/2018 21:33

Major twitch tonight as panicking I have hardly bought anything compared to last year.

Any ideas for 9yo girls and 11yo boys?

BatPie · 12/12/2018 21:42

@trixymalixy you need to look at

Crazy Aaron's putty. All different kinds, super popular with this age and it's not hideous slime stuff

Toroidz arm toys

Asda fleece blankets - lovely quality and only about £6. Lots of cool designs

Gummy Bear night lights

Popcorn maker or sandwich toaster - have got my 13 year old his own toastie machine - cheap and he will love it

nowlook · 12/12/2018 21:42

FFS. Came here to see if there were any tips to arrange presents/the opening of presents when there's not much on the pile compared to previous years (12 and 9 year old DSs, getting plenty, but it's all small and more expensive these days). Now I have putty making kits, fortnite action figures and sodding heated throws. And an imbalance in presents. Still, it saves me pursuing the madness that was going to be a Christmas Day treasure hunt to drag it out beyond 6am.

Cheekysquirrel · 12/12/2018 23:31

I’ve just ordered dd some num noms. It’s her birthday right on top of Christmas too and every day she is adding to her list. Not that she needs everything on her list of course but she does oh so love toys at the moment.
I need to not buy her anything else now. She has nothing worthy or educational at all, she literally has every toy fad going instead.

BlooperReel · 13/12/2018 11:03

Gummy bear night lights are making me twitch......

And I mini twitched and bought some disney doorables for DC2's stocking last night...

Oysterbabe · 13/12/2018 11:12

I've just bought a lovely teddy bear that turns into a football from Aldi. It's just the thing I wanted for my 1 year old to finish off. So now they've both got a big present under the tree and a stocking.

Nodancingshoes · 13/12/2018 16:33

Yep...panicked and bought 2 more things online yesterday even though both kids have more than enough. No more - I need to stay strong 😉

BatPie · 13/12/2018 16:36

@nowlook Grin

I twitched again today. A Rubik's cube of all things! Considering a twitch of a Switch game.

OP posts:
SymphonyofShadows · 14/12/2018 11:39

I’ve just twitched on a reduced price R/C Lamborghini on the M&S website

LBOCS2 · 14/12/2018 12:10

Just bought fleecy blankets for my three, themed according to their interests. I don't even know if they'll fit into their stockings 🙄

slappinthebass · 14/12/2018 13:27

I've been fighting the urge to buy this utterly pointless but gorgeous Orangutan since I first saw it about a month ago. The twitch is strong today so I went on an expedition (seriously town centre today could be described as such) just to buy him. He's bloody beautiful. I'll give him to my toddler DS but really he is for me.

I then bought some light up glitter rainbow wellies from the shop next door, I was looking at some with dd once when she didn't need wellies and recently she said 'remember when we saw rainbow light up wellies and you didn't buy them for me?' So how could I resist them when I saw them in a window of a shoe shop after Orangutan gate? She does actually need bigger wellies so I feel triumphant.

Then I bought a ridiculously huge half price set of coloured lights because I'm just not feeling the sparse white ones DH and the kids decorated the tree with when I was at work last week. I'm about to redo the whole thing. Wish me luck.

I saw some bloody brilliant rainbow reversible sequin sausage dog and narwhal shaped cushions in Asda and it was SO hard to resist those but my bank account is nearly empty Blush. Hold me, fellow twitchers. If there are any left by early Christmas pay day they are mine.

Anyone else got the twitch yet?
