I can't believe we're on thread 9! Definitely think we'll need a thread 10 this year.
Wheelie What presents have you made?
Your trees as lamps look lovely by the way!
Frangelico some of DHs family live in a little village in Devon. I love going to visit, it's such a relaxed place. I don't think I've ever seen anyone in a rush there!
Acey I hope the swelling has gone down in your feet. I'm pretty sure from about 20weeks my sister has to wear flip flops because none of her shoes fitted.
Are you usually close to your family? I can't get my head around them leaving all the funeral arrangements and clearing the flat to you and to now say they're not coming to the funeral. I hope at some point they feel ashamed that they left at such an awful time!
MrsMad & Woolly it must be so hard to see your parents getting older 💐 As PP said though, you're both doing as much as you can for them
Enjoy Hereford today MrsMad If you like burgers, there's a place called Beefy Boys which is amazing in town there.
Neros Sorry about your grandad. Caring for someone with dementia is draining (I used to do it as part of my old job). It was always so much better if there was a lot of supportive family around.
Fluffy The cross stitch looks good!
PSB Sorry to hear about DS1. How far away is he? (Sorry if you've previously said)
Im not in work today and was rudely woken from my lazy lie in by a domestic argument between neighbours 18 year old son and his girlfriend which was them stood either side of his car, shouting at each other
Anyway, I'm on another Christmas shopping trip today. Plan is to hit B&M bargains first then a few places in town then meet DM who is working in TK Max today before going to a Christmas outlet shop then for lunch. Will hopefully feel festive and organised by the time I get home!
