WreckTangled · 02/11/2018 16:23

Hello! Work has been so busy this week and it's not going to let up.

I went shopping today for bits for Lapland. Was disappointed with primark they hardly had anything in I assume because they're still changing it all over.

Zara home had Christmas music on which did made me raise an eyebrow.

Acey hope you're on the meant

Heavy sorry to read about your mum

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/11/2018 16:27

Yes, Sainsbury's are very slowly getting things in Wreck.

Mrsmadevans · 02/11/2018 17:17

Evening all Grin
Am back from the parents and catching up .
We left there at 1pm and quickly went for a walk because the weather was so lovely and the trees looked so beautiful. We saw loads of Squirrels while out. We are always exhausted when we come from the parents , stress and actually working , it is like a job with a lot more patience than you would need to have in a job lol Grin
Acey good to see back among us and Flowers for the horrible chest infection. I was only saying last night l wondered where you were Smile good to see you and take care of yourself m'dear.
Firefly , sounds like you had a great trick or treat night your DS sounds a gorgeous child Smile. Unfortunately the shower room won't be finished until Monday evening at the earliest. They have to have the shower room toilet out tonight and over the weekend, for the floor man to lay the special cladding , so we have bought them a commode to use upstairs. I think they will be fine with it but of course there is the emptying out of it lol , my Dsis is fuming because she is doing Sunday and will have to empty it once to my twice . I really don't care tbh it doesn't bother me , just another day another dollar Grin
Hairspray whitlows are horrible m'dear , when we had them when we were little they used to put hot mustard poultices on them , l think the poultice was worse than the whitlow Grin. So what is this l hear you have been wrapping pressies ? Well done !OMG I need to get going big time !
Crazy glad your migraine has done one and enjoy the weekend on your own think of the wonderful Christmas planning you can indulge in Xmas Grin that reminds me to have a look if they have released any info on the tv over Christmas Xmas Grin l love finding out and marking what to watch Xmas Grin
Fluffy good luck with the job m'dear , they will give it you l am sure they already know the standard of your work , l am sure you will be successful and if not then they are really damn stupid! Well done on the decluttering too , l really need to start doing some in time for Christmas. Grin , now you have had the scan , at least you know what is wrong and can get some treatment for it hopefully Flowers
Constantly I went go all the time to the local Hotel Chocolat in Hereford and have a freebie but must confess l never buy freeloader Xmas Grin enjoy them lol, great that you found the leggings too l am always doing that too
PSB am loving the light too , you are a little star giving us the Rudolph plate to beat all Rudolph plates and the snowflake light to beat all snowflake lights Smile have a great time at the fireworks yay!
Welcome Frangelico Xmas Smile
Red....lovely pic of your DS bless him . I recognise that tree too m'dear and Crazy did too Xmas Grin not far from me m'dears Xmas Grin
Seafood good to see you back m'dear hope you had a great time Xmas Grin
Wreck hope DS is fully recovered m'dear , have a good rest this weekend from work Flowers
Better shift and do tea, it is chilli tonight with rice , my DD is vegan and it is her mince, Mr T's frozen soya mince 3 for £4 and it is really nice .
Have got the dishwasher on a boil wash with a cup of white vinegar and a half cup or bicarb in to clean it , fingers crossed it does a good job Xmas Grin
Have a lovely evening everyone Xmas Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/11/2018 17:35

Change of plan, we're leaving at 6.20 so we're not hanging around waiting for the display to start. 😆

Seafoodeatit · 02/11/2018 17:36

Fluffy Good luck with the interview!

contantly yummy! enjoy the chocolates!

Acey I'm sorry to hear that, chest infections are bad enough let alone being pregnant and dealing with it, I hope you get well soon. Flowers

redgreen lovely looking tree :) I love seeing christmas decorations out and about.

mrsmad your dinner sounds lovely :) that should do the job of cleaning up the dishwasher nicely, a lemon half is supposed to help too. I've put mine through two big cycles last night, we'd forgotten to set the dishwasher to go when we went away so came back to a horrific, stinky dishwasher. Envy Envy - not envy!

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 17:36

Thank you everyoneSmile We’ve decided this year that we’re only buying for the kids so I’m very excited to focus mainly on little traditions and the atmosphere of Christmas rather than just being stressed about money like usual.

I’m also due on Christmas Eve so I’m very excited!

Seafoodeatit · 02/11/2018 17:39

Philomena enjoy the fireworks show! we're supposed to go this evening but I'm not sure we will as DD is running a fever.

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/11/2018 17:55

I wouldn't risk it Seafood. Hope she's better soon. Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 02/11/2018 18:04

Thanks Mrs! Xmas Grin

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 18:04

The kids and DParents and PIL that should say

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2018 19:40

Hi Frangelico! Welcome to our little group! Xmas Grin Christmas Eve baby? Do you reckon you'll have a Christmas Day baby instead?!

Enjoy the fireworks, PSB. We aren't going to any this year. The kids aren't keen (I wasn't at that age; I had a good few birthday parties where I watched from inside! 😂) and we're going out tomorrow evening to the new house of our friends.

Acey, sorry you're ill. Horrible to have a chest infection. I get you feel like you're coughing your insides up and baby out! Get well soon!

Constantly, thanks for taking one for the team re the HC chocolates. It's selfless of you!

Wreck, boo re Primark. What kind of thing are you looking for?

Mrs, it's a shame your sister doesn't get to do the commode more. Not necessarily to save you, but just to annoy her! 😂😂

Red, nice tree. Cute boy too!

Interview seemed to go OK. They're interviewing more next week, so we shall see!

I just needed to get dd some more leggings and ds some jeans but they didn't really have any. So odd. It's not the biggest primark though. Oh and dd long sleeved tops that didn't have awful slogans on them. Managed to get her some nice bits in Zara in the end.

We always ended up missing fireworks due to one of the dc being ill, I don't think we took them to see any until ds was almost four and dd six. We're going to some tomorrow though which I'm looking forward to.

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 20:12

Fluffy I’d love it if they did come on Christmas Day It’d be very exciting

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2018 20:16

My DH has a Dec 23 birthday. I'm not sure he's entirely happy with it! 😂

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 20:18

Fluffy I have worried that The LO will feel that their birthday is forgotten about because of Christmas but hopefully it’ll make it more special

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2018 20:24

I don't think his family were the problem, it's the 'friend' who once gave him a Christmas card with '...and happy birthday' written in it!

And you always have a year to wait for presents!

OP posts:
FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 20:30

That’s true!. Thankfully we have a few years until they even realise what’s going on!

NerosFiddle · 02/11/2018 20:40

Feangelico I was worried dd would come last year for the same reasons. Luckily in the end she was born on 18th Dec. Exactly one week before Christmas. Already people are saying that they'll get her one big Christmas present instead of 2 presents. I've had to cheekily put my foot down and say no.

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 20:45

Nero I’m booking the date for the C-Section soon so it should most likely be the week before. So our DC may end up with the same birthdays

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2018 20:59

ELCS are usually at 39 weeks, so you're probably looking at 17th. You can bet they'll try to avoid Christmas week where possible! At least you'll be home to be waited on by Christmas Day!

OP posts:
FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 02/11/2018 21:06

Fluffy That’s the planGrin DH will have 4 LOs to look after at Christmas so seeing how he copes will be fun!

NoWordForFluffy · 02/11/2018 21:24

Ah, I'm sure he'll cope! Xmas Smile

Got back at 10, DS2's in bed, DD will go at 11. 😴

AceyMac13 · 03/11/2018 06:57

Morning!
Sorry I haven’t replied to everyone yet, been a crazy morning so far. My dad is really poorly so we are currently waiting on the paramedics to arrive. He looks so frail and old :(
This thread is keeping me sane though and gives me something to focus on!
