Morning. It's very frosty here this morning brrrrr ds woke up stupidly early 😡 (5:45) I'm not impressed.

It's snowing where we're going in Lapland! Hopefully it stays!

So today...work, one visit, one team meeting 😴 then Halloween party 😭 wish me luck!

Our DS also woke at 5.45. Must be something in the air! (I dropped a peg onto the outside table while hanging the washing out which woke ours, I think. Fail!)

I can't work out why no frost when it's so cold. Odd!

Dh is getting annoyed because I'm sitting here having a coffee and mnetting whilst he gets the dc ready. My reasoning is that they can get themselves ready and they would if he wasn't here to do it for them!

Fluffy when we were in New York last winter, the temp dropped to -10 overnight and there was no frost on our hire car because it was so dry. The bottle of water I left inside froze solid though!

I'm loving all the baby names. Although it's unlikely to ever happen for me, I have the name Ioan saved for a boy. I know it's welsh and not the easiest to say but I love it. Also love Alice for a girl (but don't think DH would agree because it's not a welsh name)

I have a day off today which I intend to use to relax, do a bit around the house, watch the Queen film and go out for tea and attempt to drag DH into town to look at Christmas bedding 

DD's middle name is Alice. Her first name is Amy, which has also dropped from favour, replaced by the similar Amelia, I think!

I'm surprised it was too dry for frost as it chucked it down yesterday! But there you go. 😁

Off up the parents then down to Goldcliff for a huge stress relief walk ahhh l really feel the need for it .
My it is freezing here , thick frost on cars and then some. DH done his good deed for the day and de iced them for us bless him. BRRRRRR LOL

DD2 is Called Sophie Alice. l didn't really think when we decided it just fitted her iykwim lol. DD2 is Katherine Elizabeth called Katie . I had a beautiful Swiss doll called Katie when l was about 5 and she had long blond hair in plaits and a little Swiss dress on with the bib and she was beautiful. So l know where that name came from lol
Crazy you just never know my dear , l had 13 yrs of trying and 2 miscarriages before we had the DDS so you just never can tell my dear . In the meantime you enjoy those gorgeous Nieces and nephews

Back to proper work today- I had first aid training yesterday. Busy, busy weekend - but a couple of quieter hours drinking coffee with some other parents at the sailing club where dd was doing a clinic (not our one, down near DPs and DMIL). And I got a couple of hours to visit the local big Christmas shop and get a few things in normal shops that are needs. We also spotted a sale in a phone shop, so dh picked up DDs Christmas present - I just have to organize the case to go with it.

Next door neighbour’s DM (who also lived next door) passed away while we were away, so that funeral is tomorrow. Sad, and unexpected, but good in a way as she was 98 and it meant she didn’t suffer.

Seems me and DH are popular name choices!. Mrs I’m a Katherine but get called Katie!.

This will completely out me if any of my family are on MN, but my DC are Euan, Saskia Elizabeth, Kezia Ishara, and Wayland Smith Leslie.

I had a bigger breakfast and a banana today. I've bought lebkuchen stars. 😋🍳🍌🎅🎄🌟

I love Katie, Alice and Saskia. DH vetoed them for silly reasons - his Mum's cat was called Alice. The only girls name we agreed on was Charlotte, but I wouldn't choose that now the Princess is called that. DH was born 6 months before one of the princes and has the same name. DMIL has never forgiven the monarchy...

We really struggled to agree on anything - DS was 3 days old before he was named (a name I loved for years after DSis's childhood boyfriend )

Evening all have got the candy ready for the little ones when they call
Went to Mr T bought 6 bottles of wine for Christmas pressies , today was the last day of the 25% off 6 bottles so l thought l better get them. We had a 10p off a litre of petrol voucher too which went down well with DH well every little helps hehe
Shower room coming on to be fair but there is the most horrendous mess there , to be expected really. I told the Parents we (DH & I ) will give the house a damn good clean when it is finished . Pulling the furniture out cleaning l mean l am not looking forward to it but needs must, at least DH is fabulous and helps me so much bless him.

Xmasfairy when l worked on the childrens ward we would go on duty at 9 at night and leave at 8 in the morning and we were so busy and sweated so much we didn't pee in all that time!

Ahhh Biddy l know what you mean re sad and unexpected but if my Parents could pass away at home it would be just wonderful for us all iyswim . I don't ever want them to go in a home or hospital . You have been really busy again , l suppose the first aid course is a walk in the park for you compared to your normal working day

Christmas is next month!!! Choosing a name with DH was so hard as we have very different taste. I really wanted a Welsh name but we ended up with Alastair :)
