Very autumnal here, at the office in Worcester today and it is COLD!
have salad for lunch and it is in no way hitting the spot!

V jel of the lasagne! DP - (sorry - DFiancé - or H2B... not sure what I prefer) is making curry tonight, and he told me last night he has already got me some Christmas pressies :) :) :)

In New York I obvs visited the Christmas shop and bought us loads of cute ornaments in there to remind us of our trip!

We've got lasagne for dinner. I made one last week and froze half. Dd has swimming lessons tonight so need something easy

OOh, Hairspray, I love the ring. And I love that shop in MYC - I still have a NY taxi, and Snoopy on a fairy light, and 4 tree-sized nutcrackers, from our visit there in 2002! (One Nutcracker had to have corrective surgery on his rifle arm, when DD was too enthusiastic as a toddler, but the other 3 are still perfect).

This year's "ornament from our travels" (I could decorate at least 2 trees at this stage!) was a lacqeur work snowflake from China. I was hoping to get more but my shopping plans didn't work out. I have to go out now at lunch, so will wander into the luxury store locally and peruse their Christmas Department (opened a few days ago).....and try to not spend loads of money.....

Speaking of nutcrackers, I am very excited about the new disney film, I think I'll take Wilf in early December as a treat. We get corp rate tickets so 60% discount.

OOOH I am looking forwards to that to forks me and DM have been to the ballet in brum for the last 2 years but we have said we are doing that as well this year~!!

We’re just leaving now to get Arthur, just my luck that John has fell asleep so have had to wake him up and now he’s really grumpy. We’re going to get some cake from the cafe so hopefully that will cheer him up!.

I’ve been buying loads of Christmas decorations lately. DH says we have enough but I want the house to be full of decorations!.

I buy decorations in January then I've forgotten them by December and it's like seeing them for the first time. I didn't realise I got any this year but dd informed me yesterday that I did! Can't wait to see them

I spent money on a map instead of decorations...this year I might know where we are going on our overnight hostelling trip!

I wrote a response earlier but it's vanished!

I'm glad you all like the names, pretty sure most family won't so I won't be sharing it with them till birth

Slow cooker chicken is good, we had that for dinner last night - Bombay pot roast, technically supposed to go in the oven but slow cooker is just easier.

Had a melt down on the phone to the community midwives earlier as I’m 11 weeks and hadn’t heard anything, it did the trick though as I have my booking appointment on Thursday yay.
Off out for dinner with my brothers and the rest of the family tonight as it’s one of my brothers birthdays, I can’t wait!
Currently relaxing on the sofa updating my Christmas lists, eeee I just love Christmas!

DS2 did his project, he made an Iron Age roundhouse, DD helped, had pulled pork burritos for supper, DD finished her project, a booklet on Mayans, DS2 was in bed by 8, DD will go at 8.30.

I got mine too, online from Wreck's link. It is a lovely mag and I love it and will keep it or pass it on to my mum. It is full of stuff. I might do the gin and tea christmas cake. How much alcohol is in christmas cake? Does it evaporate so the kids can eat it?

I like the look of quite a few of the recipes

DS2 lost a tooth today, DD played the tooth fairy before she went to bed, have just made packed suppers for tomorrow. 😋

Have decluttered within an inch of my life Sea thank you for wishing me luck it must have worked normally l get fed up and stop !
I have recycled to the Cats protection league and Ty Hafan charity shop about 10 bags of clothes. A working PS2 and about 50 ps2 games . Plus 5 bags to the tip for the rag man to have . I could do another 10 tomorrow l am sure ! I am so tired but l am very happy to get it all done. I gave the bedrooms a good clean after too . I deserve a medal as big as a dinner plate lol
Ahhh Red you could have popped to my house for a cuppa l only live within a stones throw of NHH .

Fur l think it does cook off doesn't it ? I used to eat my DM very boozy Christmas cake when l was a little girl , it was boozy too, she used to feed it brandy for weeks after pricking it with a knitting needle

Morning!

DD is back to school today, going into Year 1. DS starts Reception tomorrow, so I'm off work so I can take and collect him. He's so excited; I hope it lasts!

This cross trainer re-start is a killer in the mornings. It's amazing how quickly you lose the stamina for it! I'm building back up to 30 minutes and did 25 today. Getting there! I'm digging the back of the allotment tomorrow, so that'll be good exercise!

DS2 is actually wearing a tie, it's being obscured by Bear! 😂

Loving all the chat - it sounds like everyone is getting organized for new school year, autumn, and starting Christmas prep proper all at once!!

I managed to clean out the stove (finally) so that is ready to put a fire in on a cooler evening (I suspect it won't be long now!). And do another few runs to the stationary shop - secondary school looks for a lot more stuff than primary! But as DD needs more help with homework and keeping on task just now, hopefully just while we get settled into routines, it means I don't have evenings to do my stuff just now. And I need to get Cubs organized pronto! So that is tonight's plan.

Mrsmadevans 15 bags is very impressive! do you have much more to go? Please may I have the secret your motivation? I really need to declutter as we need to get the house valued but oh god the thought of starting is nightmare inducing!

DS left for school teary this morning, doesn't want to go into year 3 wants to stay in year 2! I'm sure he'll be fine, hopefully he cheered up once he saw his friends.
