Gorgeous advent calendar. I had a postman pat one growing up, I adored it and reckon I could draw it and all the things under the windows from memory. I think I'd like a real one for me actually, I might source one and blutack it up.

Happy Birthday john!!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes for John!. We went to the local park by ours and had a picnic on the hill, there’s a little stream at the botttom so the boys played in that. It was so lovely, it got a bit hot in the sun but I love a warm autumn day. Got back now and will have baths then bed as we have to be up early.

It is very good news about our neighbour, we’ll have to sort out of the financial things but they seem very keen.

Both DC have got into the clubs they wanted! 😆

DS2 will go to bed at 7.30, DD will go at 7.40 if he's asleep.

I'm so tired after today!

We're just waiting at the stage door to see if we can meet the band (Biffy Clyro). We are going straight back to the airport after, so nothing else better to do for now!

I gave myself an early finish today as I was so tired and have had a lovely afternoon.
Just in from food with DH and MIL (against the spirit of MN, my MIL is eccentric but amazing) and now doing washing and generally pottering around so I don't sit down and fall asleep or I'll be up at dawn.

Crazy That blanket is really lovely :) I love the pattern, I can only do basic knitting (purl, knit and skip a stich!), is it tricky to learn the zig zag pattern?

Thank you! It's really easy as long as you can do the basic stitch, but it's crochet rather than knitting. The zigzag is just a doublet crochet, a stitch then another double crochet in the same place as the first one (which is all in the V of the row below). Then skip one and repeat over and over until the end of the row. One you're in the rhythm it's mindless really, I tend to work on this one while watching something that I enjoy but doesn't require too much concentration (usually a cooking programme or something )

I am tired! But I slept on the flight back, from as soon as I sat down until we landed! 😂

You're lucky, I can never sleep on flights. I slept for 15 hours after coming back from LA.

I can't normally, but you could have offered me £10m to stay awake and I wouldn't have been able to.

I'd only had 4 hours' sleep since getting up at 5.15 on Thursday at that point! 😴😴😴

I can't usually either but when we came back from New Zealand on the last leg I was asleep before we took off!

All this talk of sleep , l took a co codamol last night (l had a sore shoulder for a change!) omg l am not joking l slept like a log . l didn't even wake for the loo!! Shoulder is better too .....miracle drug but very addictive and l can see why !!

Fluffy - Berlin sounds great. It is on the list of city breaks DH and I would like to do. We went to Munich last autumn which was lovely but we were too early for the Christmas market (and too late for Oktoberfest!).
This year we are planning Lille at half term.
Mrsmad and biddy your lives seem very busy and productive. I tried to knit but am so slow and need to look at the stitches.

Hiya everyone, haven’t been on at all for a few days as been suffering with horrendous non stop itchy eyes and runny nose, it’s still happening now :( I’ve had about 4 hours sleep in 3 days, on the plus side I’ll be a pro at night feeds if this insomnia carries on 😂my midwife reckons it’s allergies, but there’s nothing she can do. I’ve just got to ride it out for the next 25 weeks 😂

I have my private gender scan booked for the 15thbwhen I’m back home in Ireland, as my family want me to do the gender reveal straight after 😂 I’ve uploaded a pic of the little scratch cards I’m going to use to reveal the sex of my wee miracle, they are so cute!

I have officially finished work here now and head back home on the 12th, soooo excited!
