And if your DH doesn't really need the injection that makes sense. No point using one of them now if he's recovering well!

Morning all! Been wide awake since 4.30am! Had 3 of my nephews all day yesterday and overnight too, they are 3,2 and 8 months so that was fun and exhausting at the same time 😂
Cried this morning when my love for coffee has come back, never been so happy 😂
Cuddled up on the sofa with my nephews watching tv at the moment, will take them to the cafe for breakfast in a little while before dropping them back with my brothers.
Midwife booking in appointment at 2, hoping to get a scan date today although not sure how it works really 😂
Have a lovely day everyone!

Redgreencoverplant · 06/09/2018 08:24

Good luck fluffy's DS :) DH commented that it was chilly this morning so it must really be as he doesn't feel the cold Grin

BiddyPop · 06/09/2018 08:26

I’m debating taking tomorrow off if I can clear my desk . Combination of house cleaning, getting out autumn clothes and sewing in peace. Another house with rubbish sleep last night....and it’s horrible mizzly drizzly wetting rain and grey start here.

BiddyPop · 06/09/2018 08:28

Although I got a coffee at the train station as the wait would be a few minutes but just got to the platform as it pulled up so got a (rare) seat too -😃

Mrsmadevans · 06/09/2018 08:33

Mrsmadevans · 06/09/2018 08:35

Biddy take a day off to catch up ,you work so hard Flowers

Heavystream · 06/09/2018 08:43

Good luck for your DS Fluffy! I hope he does well, let us all know how he gets on.

We’re just getting back from dropping Arthur off. They’ve all needed their coats this morning and Lorcan spent a lot of time crunching on leaves. We’re going to the library today for some quiet play, then will get back home and do some baking. We’ve been reading the enchanted wood series lately, one of my favourite books as a child and I’ve akways wanted to make ‘pop cakes’. So had a look for a recipe and we will try it out. We’re making some homemade bread as well, and will see what veg we have in the garden so we know what to make for dinner. We have some chickens as well so will tend to them. (DH does most of that though because they do scare me a little bit). Then will pick Arthur up and pop the fire on for when he gets back as it’s very chilly and a bit cloudy here. Then after school we’re going shopping for some new clothes for the boys. They seem to grow so quickly at this age!.

I’ve been looking at some John Lewis decorations and I’m really liking the amber ones. Very traditional!. I have a Christmas book, not sure where it is, I think it’s in the attic with the decorations but it’s all about how to have a great Christmas and shows you recipes so might see if I can find that today. So all in all a very busy day!.

Heavystream · 06/09/2018 08:47

John had a massive meltdown at school this morning, so we had to leave Arthur early. A lovely friend of mine has said she’d take him into class so he’d get settled and he was fine playing with friends but can’t helo but feel the mum guilt bad.

WreckTangled · 06/09/2018 08:57

Still in summer clothes here and having to take hats. Dd has swimming at school today bet it'll be freezing!

NoWordForFluffy · 06/09/2018 09:19

DS was fine. He looked so little though! But he didn't cry (that I saw!) which is a win. I had a few tears; I'm not sad about it, it's just such a huge milestone!

Back home for a cuppa before I go to the allotment.

It's grey and wet here too, which wasn't forecast. It's meant to clear by mid-morning though.

Heavy, don't do the mum guilt! I don't give it head space. You're just prioritising, which you have to do with more than one child.

I’m glad your DS got on well Fluffy!. I hope he has a lovely day at school.

I’ve got over it a bit more now. John definitely needed me more than Arthur did so I did what I had to do. The friend who dropped him off sent a text to say he went in fine and was chatting happily with a friend.

CrazyBaubles · 06/09/2018 10:10

MrsMad the Nutcracker trailer looks great. I have a confession to make though - I've never watched a single version of it so have no idea what I should be expecting!

Biddy definitely take the day off if you can. Are you sure you know how to stop though? You always seem so busy!

Heavy I have a countdown to Christmas 'To Do' list that I took out of a magazine years ago (Eve I think) which I look at every year. I only do a few things on there but it's nostalgic to read each year!

Which book is it? Can anyone recommend a book like that? I'd like to have one on my shelf.

I am in work with a cough / cold starting and I just don't feel right which I don't have time for today. I have a meeting this afternoon + overtime.

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/09/2018 10:22

Morning! I'm having cheese on a bagel and a banana today. 😋🍌

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/09/2018 10:25

Oh! I just realised I said "morning" earlier! 😂

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/09/2018 10:32

Reception don't start at my DC's until Monday.

Your DS will be fine Fluffy. If he's anything like all of mine were, he'll come home and crash out on the sofa in front of the TV! 😂 It's a long day, especially if you have a long journey. We're lucky, we've got a 20 minute walk.

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/09/2018 10:45

When they get to around 11 you get surprise growth spurts Heavy! DD was in last term's school shoes, we tried them on last week, they were fine, this morning she said they felt too small! I ordered her some brogues from Deichmann. None of the supermarkets go above a 5!

Heavystream · 06/09/2018 10:58

I’m dreading it!. I do all my washing on sundays unless anything is urgent. So we buy enough uniform to last through the week. Constant growth spurts with 4 DC will be very expensive!

NoWordForFluffy · 06/09/2018 10:59

Yeah, DD started last September so we are pros at it now! We have about a 20 minute walk too.

I was mooching on Amazon yesterday and found some lovely Christmassy cushion covers on sale, so I may have ordered a couple to spruce up our living room...DH may grumble but will hopefully accept them once they go away again afterwards. (And at 2.67 each, I wasn't spending a fortune!).

Seafoodeatit · 06/09/2018 11:41

Fluffy I'm really sorry to hear about your shoulder, are you able to do anything about it in the meantime? painkillers is not a solution in the long run and it must be annoyingly always have that niggling pain in the background.

Acey That's practically still night time! Good luck at your booking in appointment :)

Definitely with you on the cooler weather, DH stopped off home after the school run to get a jumper!

School isn't far - 2 miles away but there are 2 very steep hills and takes just under an hour, I used to take the bus there and walk back but I get really bad hip pain in pregnancy so I can't do that now.

Crazy Make sure you get lots of rest this evening, a nice hot drink and a treat for getting through the day, cold and flu tablets will help too, as will a good christmas magazine!

Heavy I agree you shouldn't feel guilty, it's all about who needs you most at the time. It sounds like Arthur handled it very well too so nothing to worry about. That christmas book looks good I might have to order a copy. I'm so jealous you have chickens! I had them growing up but DH is insisting no chickens until we stop having babies, I'm waiting a few years and then insisting on them Grin. Let us know how you get on with the cake pops, never tried them as they look very fiddly.

Philomena Your breakfast sounds lovely, I love bagels.

Biddy take the time off if you can, I agree that you always seem really busy. Your talk of sewing me I need to buy some more thread, I need to sew on the new beavers badges before he goes back next week.

PhilomenaButterfly · 06/09/2018 12:20

Yes, I probably eat more bagels than toast Seafood.😋

Redgreencoverplant · 06/09/2018 12:21

I just got a bonfire spiced hot chocolate from Costa!
