I've just dropped DS at the station and had to de mist the car before we could get off the drive. I'm working today but I think I'm going for a mooch round Leicester tomorrow.

Our cars are frozen ds still wearing shorts...

Am off to Goldcliff for a walk , Dad had to go to the DRS yesterday for chest xray results , they were fine just showed he had consolidation of his L lung when he was poorly a month ago, yet clinically he had no symptoms! Anyway the stupid Dr didn't tell us it was a routine follow up and we were worried to death that he had a tumour from his CMML as he had a lump when the Dr examined him and ordered the xrays . I know he is 88 , it's just the thought of more bad news is just so galling having to explain to them both and knowing how they are feeling inside , so scary for them . No wonder l had a terrible headache yesterday.

Anyway Dad then had a fall in the afternoon and couldn't get up , honestly l could have cried . Had to go back up and get him up and make sure he was ok , he was fine just a small cut to his hand and a few bruises . Mum was very cross with him because he was so confused , he had just woken up from a nap and fell........she has no patience . l realise though it could be because she was in shock and worried about him. Hope everyone is ok and have a good day , take care everyone.

Sorry to hear about your dad's fall Mrs. I'm back at home waiting for DS2's school shoes which he left in Kent!

No return key for me either! I have cottage pie base in my slowcooker, I added some treacle to give it that burnt bottom flavour. It smells lovely! it is clean sheet Tuesday and my sheets are on the line. It is really cold but it is bright and breezy and due to warm up.

Thank you everyone!. We’re going to go and look at a house this week and hopefully can move in ASAP. I’ve contacted Arthur’s school so they know about the change and then when we know what area we’re moving to will sort everything out. We can afford to move out and keep the house we’re in now whilst waiting for it to be sold. We’ve contacted an estate agent and they should be over to valuate the house soon then will put it on the market. It’s just so sad that we’re saying goodbye to our lovely house with such short notice!.

It’s very cold here! A really crisp morning as well which is my favourite kind. Arthur’s at school and Lorcan and John are at a friends house today whilst we get everything sorted. Gonna have takeout for dinner tonight.

Cor it’s bitterly cold here. It’s my final week at work this week, just a couple weeks to go until I move back home 😁

I’m going to ring the private scan place today and hopefully get my gender scan booked for either 2 weeks today or 2 weeks tomorrow, I’m so excited to find out what this wee miracle is!

I hope things get better for you heavy, it must be such a stressful time for you

Rudolph day? - Off to find out what it is! We've decided to get chinese for our wedding anniversary today :D

While I was killing time between finishing work and picking DS up from the station I popped into B&M. They had bags of 25 mini milk chocolate toblerones for £1.99. I got 4 - in my defence they are DH's favourite and you can't normally get just milk chocolate ones in the mini size unless you buy them at duty free. I've bought them instead of Heroes etc.

It was Home Bargains not B&M. I got all flustered in my excitement

Sorry about your dad MrsMad I hope he's feeling better. Try and give your mum a bit of time, mine isn't even 50 yet but she still tells you off if your hurt yourself and make her worry

I've had a really tough day. Went to the funeral of DHs uncle who was a lovely man and had barely turned 60. Had a bit of a wobble when his 10 year old granddaughter asked me why I was sad because he wasn't really my family before DH pointed out she's 10 so isn't going to understand. Sigh.
I'm home now with a candle burning and just feeling wiped out and flat (and cold, it's fed freezing here)!
