Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Maybe a link to camel camel camel? That’s been mentioned a few times

Thanks Reastie as always!

NoWordForFluffy · 16/08/2018 21:08

Hi Reastie. Thanks for starting number 2!

Stompythedinosaur · 16/08/2018 21:10

Just marking my place - thanks for the thread!

MsMiaWallace · 16/08/2018 21:11

Place marking!

scrappydappydoo · 16/08/2018 21:12

Thanks Restore - I love these threads every year [santa]. My contribution:
If you do all your purchases through amazon.co.uk]] Amazon will donate a (tiny) percentage of the purchase price to a charity of your choice - there's a huge list.
Personally I would prefer they just paid their tax ethically but it's a start and it makes me feel a (tiny) bit better about using them.

scrappydappydoo · 16/08/2018 21:13

That should say 'Restie' and I don't know where the random ]] came from Hmm

Moltenpink · 16/08/2018 21:14

I think Toys for a pound deserves a link! Great to bulk out the stockings.

scrappydappydoo · 16/08/2018 21:14

And that should be smile.amazon.co.uk HmmHmm

Tildero · 16/08/2018 21:21

Also place marking!

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 16/08/2018 21:26

I second toysforapound they are brilliant. Also netpricedirect for discount toys and cheap party filler type toys for stockings.

And I haven't got a link but those stripy paper bags were a godsend last year for stockings. Literally scrunched the tops and not faffy wrapping tiny presents! I had green and red ones they came in packs of 100.

And my bargain to add Poundland had 3 different shopkins activity books for £1 each and lots of crafty stickers/tape with Christopher robin print/theme. I also got the playmobil blind bags in there!

ILoveGroot · 16/08/2018 21:32

National Trust has their sale on, it includes some Christmas cards and some cute wooden tree decorations.

woodwaj · 16/08/2018 21:36

Santa sack co are offering their sacks for £5 instead of £20 I bought one a few years ago and it's really nice. Offer was limited to first 500 sold.

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 16/08/2018 21:37

I seem to remember Isle of Skye candles being popular on here, just got an email that they're doing buy one get one half price as part of their summer sale.

Thank you for the new thread!

Smellybears · 16/08/2018 21:53

@woodwaj have you a link please to the sacks? Had a nosey on the site but can’t seem to find. Thank you!

Smellybears · 16/08/2018 21:56

Lovely Christmas Eve boxes in the sale on the Santa sack co website

Betsy86 · 16/08/2018 21:57

Placemarking and ready to get some xmas bargains on the go :)

Sainsburys had lots of craft sets, activity packs etc very cheap today so may be worth a look if you pass one.
I got a £10 pack of crayola washable markes for £3, disney princess etch a sketch kind of thing for £2.10 activit pack £1.20.
Had alot of board games reduced to like hungry hippos £7.50 x

woodwaj · 16/08/2018 22:01

It looks like they are back up to £15 I didn't double check after the email I got that the offer was still on. I wouldn't buy now though they always reduce the prices closer to Xmas

Elpheba · 16/08/2018 22:04

My magpie order arrived today, again no shipping email so I'm sure lots more are on their way. Gap order arrived, bedroom athletics order made... feeling guilty I have nothing to contribute yet but very grateful for all the ideas so far!

Givealittlebit · 16/08/2018 22:11

Can't believe it's second thread time already!

Off to scope out the Oliver bin as sale...not for me....no not for me...

Givealittlebit · 16/08/2018 22:12

Oops, Oliver bonas, lord knows what an Oliver bin sale would look like 👀

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 16/08/2018 22:12

Ive only bought 2 gifts so far and it's nearly September. But I'm trying to cut right back this year. Need smaller playmobil bargains, the box can't hold anymore huge sets Blush

gaggiagirl · 16/08/2018 22:13

paint your own pup my paw patrol mad kids will love this.

Scoleah · 16/08/2018 22:16

May not be for Christmas, but perfect for Winter. GAP has a full duck down coat for Kids/Petite adults (one review says they bought xxl and it fitted them) down from £69.99 to £34.99 to £17.49 at checkout! Only XXL left I've just bought one for my nearly 10 year old. If it doesn't fit, I'll keep it until it does! Reviews are saying sizing is off so worth a go for that price!
