I believe it's day 190

HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

I didn't get a gift for starting my period!

What does she normally like? Stick to tried and tested, IMO.

WheelyCote · 20/06/2018 17:06

Yay! Found you allGrin

TheWoollybacksWife · 20/06/2018 17:28

What about...

A diary or calendar and show her how to track her cycle so she doesn't get caught short

A hot water bottle/reusable heat pad/wheat bag to help with discomfort

A nice pencil case or something similar to keep a couple of spare pads, a couple of disposal bags and maybe a spare pair of pants 'just in case'

A huuuuuge bar of chocolate Grin

Face wash stuff to help deal with puberty related breakouts

NoWordForFluffy · 20/06/2018 17:34

Great ideas, Woolly!

WheelyCote · 20/06/2018 17:43

Just to add to woollys list....a DVD and a very snugly blanket (for snuggling under with hot water bottle)

WheelyCote · 20/06/2018 18:32

The other day on one of the WAG threads some lovely poster said they did a Christmas dinner in June.,,with all the trimmings and crackers etc and wore the hats all day Grin

I'm knicking that idea and going to start a new tradition for us...once every summer we'll have a Christmas dinner. Not sure when. I'm working this Sunday so the followingGrin

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2018 19:39

Evening all Smile
Been for a lovely walk along the Canal saw a mother duck swimming with 25 ducklings !! Yes 25, they couldn't all have been hers surely?? I think she must have been taking turns with another mummy Duck .
Not done much else except the DD1 washing for the return to Uni on Sat, a bit of shopping in and a long time on the phone to the gas, the tax man, the NHS fleet, Santander for a copy of Mum & Dads deeds, the care & repair team in LLandrindod wells and take a breath ...phew.
Not heard about the car yet we are hoping it won't be long fingers crossed.
Mum & Dad went out for lunch today with their very old friends , I am so pleased, it seems to be a huge step forward for them , Dad in particular.
Not done anything remotely Christmassy but I am thinking about it lol.
DH mentioned it to me just now , he said the Solstice tomoz and then the nights will be drawing in and soon be Strictly and Christmas !!
Going to see NDN in Hosp tomoz then a walk round Bryn Bach park and home .
Have a lovely evening all Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 20/06/2018 19:45

I love Strictly starting. It's the proper countdown to Christmas then!

Busy day for you, Mrs. Best relax now!

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2018 21:19

Fluffy it IS the final countdown Grin
Am relaxing with the footie, le chat and a naice cuppa Grin
Hope you are too m'dear Smile

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 20/06/2018 21:34

What does she normally like?

Pokemon and Five Nights at Freddy's at the moment! 😂

Thanks for all the lovely suggestions!

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2018 22:27

PSB l just asked my DD2 if there was anything she could suggest and she told me a naice pair of PJ'S from Primarni . I don't know if anyone has suggested them to you already Smile

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 20/06/2018 22:29

Tell your DD2 that's lovely idea! 😆 This box is getting bigger, she'd better not start next week! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 20/06/2018 23:16

Ahh thank you PSB , I told her, she was chuffed you liked her suggestion Grin

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/06/2018 06:33

Morning! Mrs what do you think of Carol's hat? 😆👒

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/06/2018 06:43

I haven't looked at pj's in Primarni, hopefully they have some that aren't pink! 😂 Also, if I get age 13, if she starts when she's expected to, they'll still fit. 😆

Good morning! The sun has got its hat on today! Rather windy, but it's meant to drop over the next day or so. Good for our washing today though!

More jam-making later. We've loads of strawberries and next door (we assume!) left some in our porch yesterday as well. We'll take them some jam once they're converted! 🍓😁😂

I've got to make DD's cake tomorrow. DS has said he'll 'help'. Hopefully he'll just get bored and leave me to it!

SundayLunchHappy · 21/06/2018 07:37

Thank you for all the suggestions for ds’s first Christmas. So excited, still have to remind myself I have a baby that’s all miney miiine.

Period box wise I wish I’d had access to those teenage appropriate tampons that are diddy and have a jelly thing on the appicator. My choice was either maxi night pads with giant wings or super Plus from mums unhelpful stash Hmm. A nice pencil case to discreetly get into the school loos with would also have been good!

WheelyCote · 21/06/2018 07:38

Morning☀️

Mrsmadevans · 21/06/2018 07:53

Morning all Grin
PSB, I like Carol the weathers dress and hat but the jacket is cream and not white, tut tut like the rest of her ensemble Hmm. She had a lovely flowery yellow dress and cardi on the other day that l thought was gorgeous , did you see her in it ? Mind you our local weather girls fashion sense is dire. l will see if l can find a pic to show you Grin. Primark PJ'S are excellent ime bargainous, cheerful , great choice and very good for washing/drying you won't be disappointed l promise you, they also do ladies sizes starting at extra small which would prob fit a teen too so you will have a great choice Smile
Fluffy your NDN sound lovely , they deserve a pot of jam for that Smile.
Your plans for the cake and DS 'help' Grin reminds me of the mess we used to get in here when we used to cook Grin. You must love your Fridays off , such a great bonus for you all.
Am off to see the NDN and to have a walk , will finish DD2 washing for Uni today and not much else lol , prob a footie match or two Hmm
Have a great day everyone Smile

Mrsmadevans · 21/06/2018 08:13

see why l love Carol the weather so much she always looks so pretty and feminine
this is just a taste of what Sue Charles wears, she always looks awful

NoWordForFluffy · 21/06/2018 08:35

We swap food stuff with the neighbours a fair bit! We give them jam / cookies, they give us produce from their allotment! It's a fair swap. 😁

Pads with wings didn't exist when I started my periods. It was bricks or tampons! I wish I'd got into tampons sooner really, but was influenced by my mum and her use of pads (and she bought them, so I didn't have a choice!).

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/06/2018 12:13

jelly thing on the applicator? Confused

Oh yes Mrs, I liked what Carol the weather was wearing the other day. 😆

I found HP pj's, not an iota of pink! Plus, I might have already mentioned that DD is Luna Lovegood! Her Pottermore house is Ravenclaw! Spacey but intelligent. 😂

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/06/2018 12:16

WTH is that that Sue Charles is wearing? She has the dress sense of Ugly Betty. Shock

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 21/06/2018 17:49

Picked DS2 up, went to the Sainsbury's café, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, a dark chocolate bar, Kettle chips and a chocolate eclair, I had hunter's chicken, chips and peas and a white Magnum. 🍗🍟🍗🍟🍫
