I believe it's day 190

HOW did we get past the 200 mark so fast? And only 12 Days until Christmas in July starts, for anyone who celebrates that.

DH was fine with just Julian but I persuaded him to have a few more. Think we’re done for a good while now though, don’t think my body could take another one anytime soon!.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 18:39

You've no intention to replicate the Radfords then?!

She's a stronger woman than me too, Neros! 😁

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 18:43

Definitely not! I think one more is the most I’d go!.

Picked DS2 up, had Chinese chicken curry for supper, he'll go to bed at 8. 😋🍗😴

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 19:39

Thank you! They look great. 😋

Very Autumnal here ( read as thunder+ pelting down with rain Xmas Hmm )

Nagged DH into booking tickets for "The Play That Goes Wrong" .
We saw it last year and it is Soooooooooooooooooooo good , so we've booked for the 4 of us .

So that's our Family Christmas Trip sorted !

And DD and I are going to an Abba tribute in Nov Xmas Grin Blue eye-shadow at the ready . Even though she's way too young to remember them at their height , she's watched MamaMia a millionty times so she knows a lot of their songs.
And handily, when you play an Abba song they usually sing the title in the first line .(So we'll know what it is to sing-a-long !)

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 20:12

That sounds lovely,70! I’d love to do something like that but the kids are all a bit too young so it’s mainly just visiting Santa for us!.

Also very autumnal here. DH took the dogs out for a walk and we all joined. We got invited over to a neighbours and have been knitted a lovely blanket and booties for Frederick!. Apparently she’s been doing it since we first introduced ourselves when we were pregnant. We’ve all had our baths and are watching tv. Getting the kids into bed within the hour and then hopefully will get a better nights sleep with Fred.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 10/08/2018 20:34

I've been in bed since 8.10. 😴

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 20:43

I wish I could say the same, I’m shattered!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 20:45

Me too, Wicker. I really need some sleep tonight!

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 20:49

I hope you get some Fluffy!. It’s our first night tying out our big three boys in the same room. So not expecting much sleep tonight

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 20:55

Oh goodness. Good luck!

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 20:58

Thank you, think we will need it. How old are you LOs?

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 21:01

DD was 5 at the end of June and DS 4 a couple of weeks' ago. I doubt we'd get any sleep if they shared a room!

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 21:13

Aww so still only young then. Is your DS starting school this year then?

They’ve been in bed for half an hour now and no noise from them for about 5 minutes. Will check in a bit and see if they’ve fell asleep. I think the walk tired them out, so might have to do that every night if it means a good nights sleep for us!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/08/2018 21:45

Sounds promising! Wonder if they're all in one bed?!

Yes, DS goes in September. He's very excited! It'll be weird having both at school.

WickerHippo · 10/08/2018 22:02

Checked on them and they’re all asleep, in their right beds as well!.

He starts when Julian starts as well, I’m glad your DS is excited. I’m dreading Julian going but know it’s gonna be good for him, just wish I could keep him home for a few more years

Morning!

That's amazing, Wicker. Fingers crossed it keeps working like that.

I was kind of worried about DS as he's summer-born, but he's had two years at preschool, so is ready for it. Emotionally he's still very young, however, so I do worry about his behaviour while he's there (though he's been fine at preschool, but that was only 15 hours). If they still did January intake it would've worked better for him really, but never mind. Keeping him back a whole year wouldn't have been the right thing to do, so we're stuck with it!

DD's thrives at school, even as one of the youngest, and is way ahead with reading and maths. Hopefully DS will be similar, but time will tell.

Julian will love it, I'm sure. But it's hard to send your oldest to school (and your youngest too, actually! 😂).

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 11/08/2018 08:28

Ooh the First Day at School

lostlalaloopsy · 11/08/2018 08:44

Hello! We've been away for a few days with all my family which was great - but no WiFi! Thought DH was going to cry as he couldn't watch his beloved football!! We were in a Lodge with a hot tub so the kids had a blast. My ds would have stayed in it all week if he could have!

When are your schools back? We only have one more week of school holidays 😫😫 Two of my dc are in school and I still have a little one in Nursery. First day of school is exciting for them, but I was terrible and bawled my eyes out in the car after dropping them off!! I do cry at anything though!!

NoWordForFluffy · 11/08/2018 08:48

School goes back on 5 Sept which is when DD starts Year 1. DS starts the day after as they stagger Reception starting. He's the first intake and I think it takes until the end of the next week to get them all in.

Bet you are ready for them to go back, lost!

CrazyBaubles · 11/08/2018 09:03

Hello! I can't believe this thread is almost full again!

I'm currently on holiday so I'm very hot and being eaten by mosquitoes so as lovely as this holiday is, I'm craving cold weather and have found myself thinking of Christmas this morning (I have posted on several Christmas threads).

Hope everyone is ok as I haven't been able to read the full thread (WiFi is patchy here).. Xmas Smile

lostlalaloopsy · 11/08/2018 09:11

fluffy I usually enjoy the holidays, but this year they've had an extra week of holidays. This seems to have tipped my ds especially over the edge, I think he'll be glad to get back to routine.

Does your DS do full days straight away? In our school it's 2 weeks of half days which seems ridiculous as all the kids have been at pre-school or nursery!!

The weather is rubbish here so definitely feeling like autumn is coming. I'm going to buy the GH Christmas edition!
