7 days so excited, first lot of Christmas food cupboard shopping pick up today then fresh cooking stuff on weds then start more Christmas cooking & very very excited to be hosting DH & my family for first time ever, must write more lists!!

I am holding it together - JUST! More lists (lots of general admin things to get done) but I have made my salads for 2 days lunches, fruit salad for DD and I breakfast for half the week and my berry smoothie for breakfast too. I must NOT succumb to a dose of anything this week!!

The tree is up, boxes back in storage, turkey is ordered, DD did more shopping, DH is travelling again, and I am still not sleeping enough.

Jobs to do today:
Book a car service
Write and send the last 5 cards
Organise afterschool club for Friday (DD doesn't normally go anymore but asked to)
Bake scones (cream turning in the fridge and I hate to waste it)
Tidy up last night's dinner dishes before DH gets home

It will fall into place....

Oh god, Sprouts. What happened?!

I made Nigella's white chocolate cheesecake last night and popped it in the freezer to get out next week. I've eased Christmas Eve a smidgen doing that! The topping tasted amazing, I can confirm!

I'm mad busy at work catching up with everything before Thursday when I finish. Hopefully everything will get done, but I can only do what I can do! (For the sake of my sanity I need to do all I can, however!)

Mad busy weekend, friends to stay, santa dash and Kew. Wilf went all wobbly at the santa dash and we had to come home. He rallied enough for the trip to Kew but he went to the GP this morning and has raging tonsilitis, poor boy. Luckily he has finished school and we had no concrete plans for this week anyway.

Hope they take the car Sprout, sold as seen!

I'm a night owl Fluffy. I have to check the previous day's number before I post, though. I don't want to make a mistake this close to the big day.

Im writing my supermarket lists too Sprouts - I don't need too much but I seem to have double booked myself for Christmas Eve. I'm apparently picking up my turkey right in the middle of Mass.

Oops. Slight organisation fail there, Woolly!

I get up at 5 at the moment (overtime at work) so I don't see midnight! Maybe once I've finished on Thursday I'll be up later.

I need to banish everyone from the house on Friday so I can clean thoroughly and tidy from top to bottom. Hopefully we will be so busy at the weekend it can't get trashed before Monday!

I've got all day training today so not feeling too festive! Plus the dc are being really annoying this morning.

Christmas day in my office today, games a buffet lunch and a quiz!

I think I'm almost up-to-date now. Maybe 1 more morning of overtime tomorrow, but then not on my last day. Phew!

I'm in a better position than many others, as my inbox is now clear as is my post tray. So it's just completing my workflow up to 1st that's on my to do list. I it's possible. But we shall see!

Right. I think I'm on top of stuff. I'm prevaricating as to whether to do overtime in the morning as my task list isn't hideous, but it would only take a small thing to tip me over into 'won't get it all done'!

We are swapping Secret Santa gifts tomorrow. The guy next to me asked me whether everyone else had done joke presents...he went quite quiet when I said not, so I'm not sure if he will rectify it overnight!

2 more days and I'm freeeeeee. For a bit!

I bought my last gifts today, I think. I need to make a shedload of fudge tomorrow and machine embroider a blanket. And wrap everything. Everything.

Glad to hear everything is coming together, I always find it weird when it gets close when we count down for so long :)

My DB & girfriend who are coming to Xmas haven’t said what they want but as DH & I are telling them not to bother with us til after Xmas in sales then I don’t mind... I think i’m All done & wrapped other than that! Turkey being delivered tomorrow & picking up fresh stuff before very last minute stuff & a weekend of cooking!! Yay!!

I've got a click and collect order booked for Friday morning. Will probably try and finish it tomorrow. Considering calling in sick tomorrow but it's my last day before the Christmas holidays. I haven't got anything booked in so nothing to do really. I'm just in a lot of pain with neuropathy stuff. I've never called in sick before

We are ok ish on the prep front , went to Aldi and got another of their huge brie and a box of their mincepies, my lot have eaten half of the other brie already lol. I have been extremely good on the food front but come this time next week I am going to be like a stuffed turkey!!
We are going for a christmas lunch to Brewster's of all places tomoz family lunch children going too so they can go on the soft play while we get a bit of peace to eat ! I am trying to keep off the food till Christmas day because I have a lovely dress I want to squeeze into and I mean squeeze ! lol
Fluffs I did that once with secret santa and it went down like a lead balloon .....such a bad reaction I offered them to have the secret santa present I had but she wouldn't change.....

I was really pleased with the secret santa gift I gave this year. We had a £5 limit so it wasn't easy. I was missed off the list and someone else put on twice so I had to have one of theirs....
