Took Ma & Pa to see Miss Saigon yesterday in the Millenium Centre, Pa is so good after his cataract surgery you wouldn't believe it bless him, Ma is her usual ornery self but even she cried at the show lol!
Mouth is still awful but I am resigned to looking like a plague victim with sores all over my face , straws really are my BFF atm lol,

I am very tired today, and paying for not eating / drinking properly yesterday. Have had a headache and achy stomach all day so I actually left work early today, came straight home for a nap and have settled into a peaceful evening of tv and cups of tea.

The snow has not been bad here at all (Abergavenny) but the Heads of the valley hasn't closed this weekend as planned because the other routes are not safe to cross on !!!

Thanks the advice and support all, I am going to wait till I have signed a contract and then hand in a written notice, and then probably cry with my team in the pub!

Off to the ballet today, plus feastive afternoon tea with DM and my lovely aunt!

OH and we are in birmingham and have a good 2 inches of snow!

No snow here (Essex) yet but the forecast for heavy rain on Monday (could be sleet) at least it's less disruptive.

DD won't wear her jumper to School on Thursday (Christmas Jumper Day) because "Yr 11s don't do that sort of thing" .
She has a woolblend jumper with a festive polar bear , years old , she pinched it from DS (bought when he was Yr7 )

DD and I are planning going Up Larnndan so thermal socks at the ready

We have snow clouds and snow forecast. Just waiting for it now. This may match 2010 as it has to be really bad for us to get snow as we are coastal, so it's rare that the weather stars align! ❄️❄️❄️

I'm currently defrosting the car (thick frost, no snow) to take DS to do his pre-senior school aptitude test. He's cool "What shall I wear, Mum?" I'm bricking it on his behalf.

Apologies for dropping off the thread. My bug last week has been followed by a bad cold and busy week at work.
I am behind with Christmas prep because nothing was done last weekend and am now busy every weekend but today's 'busy' is going to a Christmas market in Yorkshire surrounded by snow-covered countryside.
Tomorrow, the decorations go up and I write my final to do list! I am kicking myself for not being more on top of things in November

Constantly we have all fallen behind are different times. You can catch up but don't overdo it if you're unwell.

I am back to having a tickly cough I think DH caught it from me and is now passing a lesser version of it back so we're both ill. I am resting, drinking honey and lemon and taking lots of paracetamol in the hopes it goes away before Christmas!

Also, fingers crossed that the weather follows predictions tonight / tomorrow (if they do, me and DH are having a 'snowed in' day, which is basically a lazy day with a roast

DD and I enjoyed London, cold and busy

We're promised snow on Sunday , we plan to get the tree (not far about 2 minutes walk and carry it home )

It had better be gone on Monday , I'm out on Home Visits (NHS) which is difficult enough without adding snow to the mix

So my lie in has failed although I am still in bed so that's something. My body clock just won't let me sleep past 6 anymore

Hope the snow isn't too bad with everyone? We were supposed to visit relatives in a bad area today but we have postponed as I can't think of anything worse than being stranded in a car with a teething toddler!

Am having a very productive weekend Christmas wise, family and friends all bought for now so only work colleagues left and I plan to make the red cabbage today so the house will smell lovely.

Afternoon tea was only ok tbh, was supposed to be festive but as far as I could see it was just normal with a £2 higher price tag, no mince pies or friut cake, normal non seasonal sandwiches and they forgot to incude enough veggie ones as I had specifically asked....

SO much snow here now... suppoaed to be going to a buffet at my paternal grandparents house today... not sure how well that will pan out!
