That's what you call a tree, Fridge!

My cheese is safely stored in tubs in the fridge...I'm sure it'll be fine in there. Even fruit lasts for ages in it; it's very efficient!

Mrsmadevans · 02/12/2017 21:59

Tree is gorgeous Fridge I bet it smells lovely , I love the smell of pine .
Fluffs my DD2 works p/t in Waitrose , she was c/o the smell of the cheese when it was coming through the tills lol , the customers all told her they are going to freeze it all till xmas, she said it smells like her feet lol !

Mrsmadevans · 02/12/2017 22:00

Sprout , you had a good time then sweetie!
Hope the head is better by now !

ConstantlyCooking · 02/12/2017 22:06

Love the tree!
And hoping the bug could kick start some weight loss so I can eat my own weight in mince pies.

SideOrderofSprouts · 02/12/2017 22:25

I had a great time. But I’m paying for it

My trees are up - DD2 did a fantastic job on the main one while I did the one in the dining room and then we did the other bits and bobs together. Photo tomorrow if I can get one without the lights on.**

WreckTangled · 03/12/2017 06:28

Lovely tree fridge!

We had the best time yesterday it was so good. The dc were so well behaved despite a very long day. Just waiting for our premier inn breakfast yum!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 03/12/2017 06:34

Ah. I love a PI breakfast. That's us in 2 weeks!

FireflyGirl · 03/12/2017 06:52

Wow, love your tree Fridge.

I mostly put ours up yesterday, along with the rest of the decorations. Assisted by DS, it took me the better part of the day!

I got him a little Santa play set to distract him, and Santa was flying around saying 'Yo ho ho' Xmas Grin.

Looking forward to seeing your pics, Wooly.

Glad you and your family had a great day, Wreck. We're at ours next Saturday, and I can't wait to see DS's face!

FridgeCut · 03/12/2017 08:48

We have two of those singing Christmas trees that play rocking around the Christmas tree. Gabriel has been dancing and playing with them constantly.

Loving hearing all about The Christmassy things we are all doing. I want a premier inn breakfast!

We are off to gullivers to see Father Christmas today.

FireflyGirl · 03/12/2017 09:10

Fridge, you've just reminded me DS has a Santa toy that plays the Benny Hill tune and shuffles around the floor! I need to go find that now, he loves it!

Enjoy Father Christmas!

How was the estate agent visit, Woolly? Are you up for sale now?

Nice trees! 🎄🎄

I really enjoy our Santa train visits, they're great fun! 🎅🎅🎅

WreckTangled · 03/12/2017 12:42

wreck that looks amazing!!! Ooh I wonder if we can do a little weekend family trip next year.

We had a brilliant day at Gullivers, though going on the log flume first meant me and wilf were wet till we got home at 4.30.

Ah well, you know for next year Fridge. And judging by your pictures you all still had a great time!

That looks amazing, wreck!

And your trees look lovely, Woolly Mine are up, and the living room one has already been relocated to behind the chair. It was just too tempting for DS! So now I have a chair in the middle of the room...

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 03/12/2017 21:43

We were the last ones to get our Christmas bedding today as the kids' bedding us changed on a Thursday and ours on Sunday.

We need to get the tinsel up round their doors (no room on the tree), then we are done!

Catching up with y'all, I get quite Xmas Envy when I see parents with small DC at Christmas , they are all excited and in awe with anticipation.
Then I have A Word With Myself and remember that Small DC only want to look at their type of shops, the Santa Grotto, the 4D Cinema (Bluewater has a booth ) , the WinterWonderlands, they get tired and grumpy.

DD (who also gets tired and grumpy but in a Teenage Way Xmas Grin ) and I went shopping in town yesterday then she tried to convince me to drive her to Bluewater (erm, no) so we went to Stratford Westfields last night....it was lovely, nice decorations, not too busy and it was dark .

She got what she needed and we mooched round (though M&S gave me The Rage trying to find what I Needed).

There was a Grotto with screens ( snow scenes type on big screens) but I didn't look too close .

Only 3 weeks and it'll alll be in the bag hopefully.

On a less productive note, my pesky main oven has pegged it (I have a double oven top bit still works and a halogen glass one so I can still cook things) DH has ordered a new element ...... but I have to cook DS cake !
Its not needed till next weekend so I'll still manage , but pah.
Just better not do it on Christmas Day

Ooh, bad timing re the oven, 70. Fingers crossed it's sorted quickly.

My cold is developing nicely; it's slow-burn which is just what I needed. Not!

HairsprayBabe · 04/12/2017 08:14

my tree is up, just waiting for the last of the gifts to be delivered so i can wrap them , ballet next weekend christmas party after that, and then we are basically there!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 04/12/2017 08:21

I have a present swap to do (unwrap Batman bedding as it's now not a Christmas present and wrap a Fingerling which is!) and then I'm truly done.

All food is sorted / ordered; recipes chosen; ingredients checked etc. Bring. It. On. 🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄

WreckTangled · 04/12/2017 08:41

I had something in my amazon basket for dd and now it's oos! So annoying. Must hurry up and buy the last couple of bits. Two and a half weeks of school/work to go!

We will get our tree on Sunday I think.

BiddyPop · 04/12/2017 10:51

OOoh, the trees and decorations all look fab! And the Christmassy bedding too!

DD has her bedding on since Thursday. She hasn't yet worn her reindeer onesie despite me getting the zip fixed (if she doesn't get a LOT of use out of it, I will be very unhappy!!). She's still wearing short's pjs. Xmas Hmm She's also trying her best with both DH and I (separately - she's cute!) to stick to "tradition" - that if we are staying at home, we have a real tree (I bought a balsam hill fake in the CIJ sale which was still €€€ so I wasn't intending getting at real one - but I bet DH will cave, she has him utterly wrapped around her baby finger!).

Next weekend, the boat needs to be decorated on Sunday morning - the morning after a party on the street....early morning the morning after an event that usually finishes in the not so small hours!!

I managed to get all the toys for DNs except the one that needs to go to Canada on Friday - so I NEED to get something today for that new baby as the parcel MUST go tomorrow. And I need to wrap the other things for that family (and sew 1 seam on a crayon roll!).

But I did manage to finish the fish decoration for DH's DCousin's bride's box, and actually finished off a gingerbread man decoration I had started a few years back for our own tree. And the carol concert on Friday was lovely. But as I spent the rest of the weekend on the water (learning how to drive powerboats - speeding over the waves!!! Grin), I got very little else done.

It will fall into place, I'm sure!!

BiddyPop · 04/12/2017 10:58

Oh, and DD was asking this morning if we could put the tree up next weekend. DH would definitely prefer to wait another week, and I feel that next weekend is quite busy, as it happens.

But I might (stressing the might) get the boxes from the storage unit during the week or next weekend, as the weather is kinda being iffy, and we could probably do with having our snow gear at home too. So I have an excuse to go down there.
