Fluffy, same here. Gabriel had a cold last week so I knew it was coming. I only just got over the last. And we eat lots of veggies, dont over use the central heating, open windows and take vitamins. I can’t see what else I can do! Hope yours isn’t too bad.

Yep, we supposedly do all of the 'right' things too! I only ever had about 1 cold per year pre-kids. It feels like 1 a month these days! 😱

Morning!! Feeling more winter here now. Finally.

Finished buying and mostly wrapped now.

I wrapped my first few presents yesterday as I'm off to Cardiff again to meet a friend and need to hand over her presents. It didn't feel right, not doing it as part of my 'wrapping night' but needs must.

It is lovely here today, crisp, freezing cold but with clear blue sky. I'm planning on twitching picking up a few bits while I'm here - lush bath bombs mostly

We have been known to hang decorations using the swivel chairs....but the first aider for the floor sensibly stays on the floor (in my role as floor marshall, I should probably tell them not to climb in the first place - but at least I can bandage them up if they DO fall!!)

I managed to get 10 of 12 items for another Bride's box sorted yesterday (raided my stores and got 3, and the other 7 were purchased), I will make a fish and flower basket to get the 12. It's for DH's cousin, who got married in the late summer when we were away and we never managed to get a present to them.

I have the NCT (Irish version of MOT) tonight on my car - and I have to find all the docs when I get home. And also clear out and make up the guest room as DMIL is coming on Thursday after all (having said no at the weekend!). All I want to do is sleep.

And another manic day at work, trying to avert diplomatic incidents (other Departments thinking we didn't do something - that we absolutely DID, and other messing around going on).

So I am looking forward to ignoring everyone and everything on Saturday as I am finally doing my powerboating course - so concentrating on how to park on the water will blow everything else away (it really is a lot worse than learning to drive).

I've just updated my online diary all the way to when I stop for Christmas. Woo hoo! Three weeks left

Had a good sort out of all the Christmas stuff piled up in my room which meant I finally opened the elf pj's I ordered and picked up 3-4 weeks ago from Matalan for dh.......to find only the teeshirt and no bloody trousers! Off in to town tomorrow to hopefully finish my shopping, they better bloody change them and give me a complete set!

I've made my Nigella muffins and Boxing Day Yorkshire puddings tonight. They are all in the freezer now! I need to sort my Christmas Eve plan of action soon. See what order I'm doing stuff in. So much baking to do!

Argh so exciting!!!!! I'm getting the decorations out of the loft this evening to check them all and get the advent calendar set up :)

I keep looking at the weather for when we are going to the theme park. I keep looking at a week on Sunday. We are going this Sunday!! Santa in three days! Christmas tree in two days!! Advent calendars tomorrow!!! I need to decide where to set up my M&S one :) and install the elf door.

Oh Fridge So adorable, children at christmas make me so broody!

I got out the sheets for the spare bed this morning, and realized that DD needs hers changed as well. I offered her a regular set, as it was "probably too early for the Christmas Set" and I was roundly put in my place - so the Christmas set will be going on her bed tonight or tomorrow.

Advent calendar is prepped, and she still doesn't know about the lego one!

I have to sew a fish and a flower basket ornaments in the next 2 weeks. And find items for a BBQ themed gift for one of the Secret Santa recipients which DH and I got. But I am getting there on the purchasing, I think. I intend going to a toystore this week to sort the DCs left on the list, in time to post a package transatlantic. I don't; know if I will get time to sew a BBQing apron as I had planned - we'll see.

And DM is home from her op and recovering - uncomfortable but ok, and intending doing more than expected in the next few weeks so that sounds good.

Jealous of all the people decorating already - I have another at least 1 week, probably 2 before I can get to it. Although I may watch the Toy Show tomorrow!!

Been MIA for a coupla days been so busy with my DF he is having is cataract done next week, so we have been attending hosp appts and getting him ready for it.

I have just covered some origami cranes in a vast amount of silver glitter to hang as part of my advent window. They will join a large number of pom pom snow balls, jingle bells and battery operated tinkle lights. I hope it looks ok. Some people cut and stick things to the window but I just didn't feel clever enough.

Squeee! Still need to catch up from being away for 2 weeks, sorry, but had to come on and say IT'S SNOWING!!!!

Christmas radio on, clearing and cleaning for decorations, DS is napping like a good 'un - I'm more excited than I was at Disneyland!!

I'm so jealous of the snow! Just bitterly cold here.

My friend had snow in north Lincs today. No snow here. Bloody freezing, but at least it's dry as almost all of last week was hideously wet.

I'm not keen on snow though!
