Is that your teacher DD, Woolly? I'd be very proud too.

I've done my Christmas name change. Still fluffy, just differently so!

Are you moving house? I think you mentioned maybe moving before?

4 weeks!!!!! Xmas Grin

FridgeCut · 27/11/2017 07:26

We went to a fabulous grotto yesterday, nice start of the season. On the way home we had fun spotting trees and lights, we saw loads it was very exciting!

I spent my evening making snowballs for my advent window display. I’ve got lots more to make. I can’t decide whether to stick to cream (I’ll need more wool) or make some in grey and black and make it a sort of modern Pom Pom window.

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 27/11/2017 07:48

I'd probably stick to cream, Fridge, unless I had no time to get more wool, in which case grey etc would be used!

HairsprayBabe · 27/11/2017 08:24

Got the vast majority of shopping done this weekend, need to get something for very hard to buy for BIL and DP's pressies but then we are done!

Have kicked off the wrapping too! Xmas Grin

FridgeCut · 27/11/2017 09:25

I'll see if the poundshop has some later :) I need some small cars and some yellow paint anyway.

BiddyPop · 27/11/2017 09:37

4 weeks?!?!
Cue headless chicken type chasing around (maybe like Kevin in the original Home Alone 🤣)

Very busy weekend. Good hike with 8 Cubs (and 11 leaders/parents/scout Helpers!)🤣 but in glorious bright sunshine, even if cold. Hot choc at the top helped (and I was happy with a lighter bag going down!). DD did most of her shopping as we stopped off at a nice shop en route home. Junior awards night at sailing club - kids have dinner, games, disco minded by the instructors upstairs, parents get some wine and food and chat downstairs. Sailing yesterday for DD, while I planted my bulbs, got things I wanted from storageunit, put away all the clean clothes and sorted another bundle of papers.

Sounds like you have all had good weekends as well.

Am posting o. My phone though, as my office is flooded and we're currently trying to find somewhere to work for 2-3 days (I had a phone all to make so snagged the boss's room as he's not. In yet, but I haven't turned on a pc yet. And have to leave here in a few mins.

Could be productive in other ways though!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 27/11/2017 12:48

Have you found a new location, Biddy?!

My Chinese Christmas leggings have apparently arrived. Whoop! They're probably only calf length, as I'm very tall, but they'll do I'm sure (DH has given me the good news; I'm at work!).

CbeebiesAddict · 27/11/2017 13:20

Congrats to your DD woolly and lovely tree fluffy

Hope your DS is better soon muddling Flowers

Eek four weeks!!

BiddyPop · 27/11/2017 16:00

We managed to get back into our own offices, as the flood was contained to the corridor - but that took a while as they had to clear up the wet back past our door first before letting us in. Mad busy day - but I managed to collect my mending at lunch (including DD's reindeer onesie getting a new zip!), drop off shoes for re-soling, and pick up some bits in M&S (20% off finishes today, so pants for DD, vests for me and a pen for DH - and got a €5 voucher for the foodstore so grabbed dinner for tomorrow and a few bits for the freezer). My Lands' End parcel is due this afternoon.

But my nose is back to the grindstone now - boss is out all day so I have ended up covering for him as well. Including meetings with stakeholders and trying to sound confident and like I knew what was going on! Xmas Grin

But my Snowman mug is officially out for office tea!! Xmas Grin

MuddlingThroughLife · 27/11/2017 19:24

Ds not coughing as much now and managed two hours in school this afternoon. Thanks everyone.

I was on my own in work today so decided to cheer myself up and put up the office decorations. My reasoning is that I'm only working today this week (annual leave Tuesday and Wednesday to take ds to appts) so when I go back next Monday it will be December!

Btw, December on Friday, eek!

Deliveries today of electronic Chewbacca mask for ds (I so can't wait to play with it!), red Xbox controller for ds, gun caps for ds stocking and Chloe Love perfume for my mum. Almost done with pressie shopping, yay 😊

🎄🎄27🎄🎄

Muddling I refuse to decorate the office now because it's huge and very time consuming and there is always a Scroogey misery guts that moans no matter when you do it

I have finished making 2 presents today so will post pics tomorrow

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/11/2017 07:11

Morning!

We only have to decorate a bank of 10 desks, so it's not as bad as your office by the sound of it, Handbag! 🎄🎄🎄

I'm being so good at not twitching anymore but it means I'm a bit bored! I need our Christmas activities to start! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🎅🏻

WreckTangled · 28/11/2017 07:35

We're not really allowed to decorate our office due to health and safety. Good old nhs Grin

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/11/2017 08:06

Bah humbug, eh?! 🎄🎄🎄

MuddlingThroughLife · 28/11/2017 08:07

I'm a Medical Secretary so also work for the NHS. We've just been told we're not allowed to stand on our chairs to put up the ceiling decorations......so we clamber over the three desks and filing cabinets instead 😁

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/11/2017 08:09

🙈😂

I'm an EL/PL lawyer...I'll expect to see you as clients very soon!

WreckTangled · 28/11/2017 08:14

We've had an email detailing no extension leads, nothing hung from the ceiling, battery powered lights only, nothing stuck on the walls blah blah blah

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/11/2017 08:15

Sucking the fun out of the festive season, memo by memo!

TheWoollybacksWife · 28/11/2017 08:22

I work in a pre school. There will be tinsel everywhere Xmas Grin

HairsprayBabe · 28/11/2017 10:02

Did anyone see this www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2017/nov/26/classic-german-recipes-christmas-cookies-biscuits-luisa-weiss in the gaurdian?

I might attempt the cinnamon-almond meringue stars they keep for upto 3 weeks apparently!

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 28/11/2017 12:14

I'm hungry reading those!

HandbagCrazy · 28/11/2017 15:57

Oh I feel slightly less frustrated at my office now. The lovely team that manage our building are so fed up of everyone moaning about the over the top rules about decorations that they have arranged one day where they will pat test lights and bring around a ladder to hang decorations for you so you don't risk standing on an office chair on wheels furniture to make it festive 🎄

This is just as well as I'm feeling very festive today and haven't long eaten my Christmas stocking cookie from the bakery Xmas Smile

SideOrderofSprouts · 28/11/2017 17:57

I work in education

My desk will be festive

Apparently tinsel isn’t a good idea in a science department 🤣

I'm starting with yet another cold by the feel of it...never ending with small children!

Feel so close yet still so far away!

I've 2 days off next week, so I bet that helps it move along a bit. Xmas Grin
