Enjoy little mix! How fun :)

Sorry about the car :( hopefully it’ll be cheap enough to fix.

Happy Rudolph day! I’m going to make paper snowflakes and finish some cards and get Wilf to do his Santa letter. And persuade him to ask for either a ukulele or a big box of magnetiles...

Helpotron3000 · 25/11/2017 12:04

Question:

If you're gifting a mulled wine set that only has the spice mix, should you also include a bottle of red so that they can make it on Christmas day?

FridgeCut · 25/11/2017 13:43

I think I would give it with the wine to make it with, otherwise it is less likely to be used.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/11/2017 19:12

Yes, definitely give the wine too!

We have the planets in alignment and both kids were asleep before 7. Bonkers! Hopefully they'll sleep for at least 12 hours as I'm knackered.

beverly022 · 25/11/2017 19:45

I can definitely relate to this! Grin

Mrsmadevans · 25/11/2017 22:26

Woolly congratulations to your DD on her graduation you must be so proud !
Wreck that is awful your new car I am sorry my dear. Enjoy Little Mix!
I agree for you to give the red wine with the spices a lot of ppl only have white and sparkling around Christmas or horrendous thought none at all lol !
Handbag I am so glad you feel better today hope you enjoyed Cardiff and the rugby , pity they lost but they are trying a lot of new players for the future team so it is a team in the making l am trying to console myself but who am I kidding
Sprout hope you feel better today my dear.
Been out walking again today to try to get rid of some stress , my DF has to have his cataract done and needs 3 hospital appts to get it done and have to take my DParents to see Miss Saigon all in the next 10 days, the musical is 2 days after the cataract removal and I paid 140 for tickets for them so l don't even know if he will be able to go , no wonder I am stressed !!! I am one of 3 children but the other 2 do nothing to help out it all falls on me and I am stressed out and feeling hard done by. I walk to ease the stress and it really helps me to cope. I never used to believe the ppl who said exercise does this but it does work.
I have done nowt again for Christmas today ........hey ho ....
Hope everyone is ok , take care all

MuddlingThroughLife · 25/11/2017 22:48

Finally managed to get out today after being stuck in most of the week with a poorly ds and did a little shop today with dd1. Was lovely to spend some time alone with her. We got the bus because the traffic is so manic on Saturdays where we are, so she was mortified when I decided to buy a giant elf, name him George, and cart him home on the bus. George is so big he had his own seat on the bus lol.

Can't believe how close it's getting now. Hoping to finish my shopping on Thursday when I do my big town shop

HandbagCrazy · 25/11/2017 23:29

Wreck how was little mix? I would actually like to see them.

Help I would definitely include the bottle of wine

Mrs Cardiff was completely manic and we obviously lost but it was a lovely atmosphere and a few players that I have, ahem, soft spots for were playing We had some food out and a little wander around but after the match everywhere was just full of drunk people so we came home

I did take a pic of the lights there though - I love them!

Did you buy yourself a ticket for the show too Mrs? If not, could your dm maybe go with a friend and you agree to stay with your df while it’s on?
I would also suggest a walk, cake, wine / hot choc and a Christmas film to ease your stress 💐

Muddling how is your ds? I love that George got a seat. Could you add a pic of him?

NoWordForFluffy · 26/11/2017 00:05

It is!

Just got my 23rd Dec shopping slot with Sainsbury's. Need to go back to sleep now.

Helpotron3000 · 26/11/2017 01:45

Ok, definitely getting some red wine then. If he doesn't want to make it on the day, we'll just have the drink the wine! A true sacrifice it will be

WreckTangled · 26/11/2017 06:16

Little mix were really good thanks! Ds is five today and has requested swimming then to bills for pancakes Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 26/11/2017 08:01

Help, you're all heart! It's such a personal sacrifice to have to drink wine. Wine Xmas Grin

SideOrderofSprouts · 26/11/2017 08:03

I'm struggling to maintain control, Sprouts! 🎅🎅🎅🎅

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/11/2017 08:29

handbag I will try to post a pic, I'm not good at it!

Ds is doing ok. Last Sunday he puked his NG tube up again. Went to get it redone on Monday but after mentioning some symptoms they did an urgent CT scan which thank God came back clear. Had to go back Tuesday to get tube done as was too late for the sedation Monday after scan. Wednesday started barking so trip to docs Thursday and he's on antibiotics for his chest. Yesterday was the first day for almost a week he wasn't sick so think he's finally on the mend!

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/11/2017 08:34

This is when George arrived home and got himself comfy!

NoWordForFluffy · 26/11/2017 08:37

Oh no, Muddling. Your poor DS. Fingers crossed this is it all out of the way before Christmas. Flowers

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/11/2017 09:03

Thanks fluffy. Ive told him we have too much planned for December for him to be ill and so to get it out the way now!

HandbagCrazy · 26/11/2017 13:58

Wreck I like your ds - that sounds like a fab birthday!

Muddling your poor ds. I had an ng tube when I was in hospital years ago and accidentally pulled it out (caught it on a hairbrush of all things). I hope he feels better soon, after all, George looks like he could cause a bit of trouble without ds keeping an eye on him Xmas Wink

I too am getting very excited now. I’ve been to farmers market this morning where there was a brass band playing carols and now I have my Christmas candle burning and the heating on, making my house all toasty 🎄

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/11/2017 15:52

Wishing your DS well Muddling there's no good time to be ill but with children and Christmas it seems the worse time.

Steadily working through my lists.

Took DD out yesterday (DD + Money to spend .........I should know better really)

She did get a jacket (in Topshop) she'd been after it a while, I was trying to reason (try and fail) that she didn't need a new coat , then she countered that I'd bought the M&S leopard coat (Investment Piece DD) .... her coat was 50% off, practical, won't date so I paid half she paid the rest.
But I treated her to clothes and skincare so I think I idn't win anyway Xmas Wink

Planning decorations and DS Birthday Cake .(chocolate)

DH and I are going on our Traditional Shopping Day this weekend, to get last minute stuff and a trip to Costco.

Work is madly busy as per, I finish on the 21st then back after BDay.
So all the ducks need to be in order .

NoWordForFluffy · 26/11/2017 16:23

Christmas tree!

(And frazzled nerves; the kids have done my fucking head in with all the moaning during the decorating process!)

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/11/2017 17:52

Thanks everyone.

Lovely tree fluffy.

TheWoollybacksWife · 26/11/2017 18:24

Thank you everyone - I am very proud of her.

Muddling I hope your DS feels better soon. George is a cracker Xmas Grin he reminds me of the doll that Jack Whitehall's dad bought on their recent gap year programme.

I'm cooking roast gammon with cloves for dinner and it smells very festive. I feel I need a sherry but I suspect I will be on taxi duty for DD2 later tonight when she finally tears herself away from her boyfriend.

I'm sitting in the kitchen girding my loins to make the gravy and I can see that the people over the fence have put their Christmas decorations up. They have flashing blue lights in their conservatory and I keep catching a glimpse out of the corner of my eye and think the emergency services are here Xmas Grin

Lovely tree Fluffy. We are getting the house valued at the end of the week and as a pay off for having to have everywhere immaculate I am putting the trees up at the weekend.
