Aaaaaaaaargh @fooffighter. I never even thought of spiders having willies. Weirdly that makes me a little less scared of them

PinkPanther27 · 04/10/2017 21:20

@singadream I am too now wondering why I've never considered spiders having willies and wondering how they keep them warm in winter.......

FireflyGirl · 04/10/2017 21:27

Spider willy warmers, obviously @PinkPanther27

In other news, look what I found in Primark today! Only £5! They were in the boys' section.

Lego, hope you get it sorted and find your purchases or at the least get it redelivered!
Drspouse possibly diary of a wimpy kid books?
There's some ideas herewww.lovereading4kids.co.uk/genre/rel/Reluctant-Readers.html
, DD, nearly 11, read the Louis Sachar, boy in the girl's bathroom, and really liked it, I got it as another class teacher had read it with similar ages (y5) and they seemed to really relate to it and like it. I've just picked up Holes by the same author from the charity shop today for her. Also how about Anne Fine, Jacqueline Wilson books? Is she more into fiction or non fiction?
I've ordered the Radio Times Subscription as a Christmas present for my parents, and just spent a fair bit on The WOrks with the 25% discount. There is a set of captain underpants book that is cheaper than Amazon and has the 25% off www.theworks.co.uk/p/childrens-collections/captain-underpants-book-set---10-books/9781407163284
And 2 for £8 2018 annuals www.theworks.co.uk/search/annual%202018
Cath Kidston have a sale and I have a 10% discount code for first purchase, not sure if it would include sale items, it's my name so PM me if you can make use of it.
The 25% off The Works is tonight only, goes down to 15% tomorrow I think.

FireflyGirl · 04/10/2017 21:29

Kath Kitson have a up to 40% off sale

penstemon · 04/10/2017 21:33

Smiggle have got 40% off certain items if you spend £15.

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 04/10/2017 21:37

cookiefiend was it this folder?

drspouse · 04/10/2017 21:38

I think her older sister has a lot of Jacqueline Wilson and I just got an Eva Ibbotson that was supposed to be for her but was really better for her older sister.
But I will look at Anne Fine, I do remember those being good, or maybe something from my own childhood.

Haudyerwheesht · 04/10/2017 21:45

I feel even more at home now I know other people have overzealous organised wrapping procedures. I number all the presents in a notebook and then the number goes in pencil on the gift tag. I like a mix of wrapping paper so I also note what colour wrapping its in . Dh thinks I am mental.

tootsieglitterballs · 04/10/2017 21:48

@IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece just in case this helps... as a general rule of thumb, all Emma Bridgewater gets sent via parcel force. I order a lot from there (sometimes just 1 item, other times a lot of stuff) and every single order has only ever come via parcel force. The only items that have come via Royal Mail are those that are a free gift with a magazine.
Hope you manage to get to the bottom of it!

Also, all our amazon deliveries come via their own couriers (unless it’s just a dvd / cd generally)

73kittycat73 · 04/10/2017 21:49

Hello everyone, I wonder if you could help me please? In the old thread there was a link to a site. I followed it and was looking through the Christmas gift section and saw two different cocktail makers. They were £10.00 each. Trouble is, I can't remember which site it was! I know it's not Matalan or B&M. If it rings a bell for anyone can you please let me know? (I know it's not a lot to go on!) Thank you.

Pumpkintopf · 04/10/2017 21:51

@Stiddleficks - agree Lush do the best bath bombs but they aren’t cheap!

My dd also likes the bomb cosmetics ones that Amazon currently have at 35% off making a beautifully wrapped gift set £9.74.

Pumpkintopf · 04/10/2017 21:54

I definitely need to get a Christmas folder!

winewolfhowls · 04/10/2017 22:20

Must get the cheese advent calendar that looks amazing.

LostMyRubySlippers · 04/10/2017 22:22

macnab on the last thread there was an amazon light box for £15 but a code to take £7 off- it seems this may have expired though
There has also been mention of light boxes in Asda & the works for a tenner

tiggersdontlikehoney · 04/10/2017 22:22

Wow 5 pages into a new thread already! Thanks Reastie

MamaMiaBebe · 04/10/2017 22:28

Argos have Furbies at a normal price of £35, get the feeling Furbies are on the way out www.argos.co.uk/search/furby/

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 04/10/2017 22:32

Some great new bits on toysforapound - small marvel Kawaii plushes and key rings that are more than a pound elsewhere. ALso the captain America etc backpacks are amazing value for a pound - much larger than I expected. Just trying to fill it up with more cheap bits!

imsorryiasked · 04/10/2017 22:41

@73kittycat73 was it Wilkos? They have a copper barware set for £10, a stainless steel set, and quite a few cocktail things.

StubbleTurnips · 04/10/2017 22:49
