Does the retro caburys taste like retro caburys, or is it still the new American recipe inside? I don't like fruit and nut any more Sad

F,owner colour coding presents is genius!

Chocolate we have an empty chest of drawers that wrapped presents go in to store as I go. Before that they got bagged in giant storage bags but the pretty bows etc did go a bit squashed. Dads get wrapped and thrown in the loft so she can't find them but it doesn't matter if the paper gets a bit battered as she doesn't notice!

MrsGotobed do you have a The Range store near you? They have the smaller ones for about 5 pounds very good quality.

ladymelbourne1926 · 04/10/2017 18:31

Place marking again thanks

Chocolatecake12 · 04/10/2017 18:39

I’ve just ordered a light box for ds from Asda £10 - has good reviews. Just need to decide if it’s for his birthday or Christmas.
Loving this thread sooooo much!

christmasunicorn · 04/10/2017 18:40

@yorkshireyummymummy I am in awe. And have now spent the last 10 minutes looking up Christmas ringbinder as I’ve now decided I need one too

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 04/10/2017 18:46

Wrt wrapping in advance, I write the name in teensy writing on the paper, then store in boxes.

When it's time to put them under the tree I have a ribbon & gift-tag session.

No ribbons or tags in the kids: I too use the colour-coding method.

I love this thread. It's like heaven having this one and the Poncetastic one to lurk on. 😊Glitterball

christmasunicorn · 04/10/2017 18:49

WRT wrapping, Ive done a few bits but will have a day of wrapping in two weeks time when my school has broken up but the dcs haven’t. Then I will put them all straight into their Santa sacks and leave in the loft until Christmas Eve. Stocking presents are placed in individual Tesco bags ready to go into stockings. I do keep a list on my phone of what o have bought each but tbf it’s more fun getting a surprise on Christmas morning

I must say, Emma Bridgwater are being spectacularly unhelpful! I contacted them to ask who their carrier was and are they able to tell me if it was delivered today and just got told "we can't track it" even though I'm sure the dispatch email gave me a tracking number (which of course I can't find!) and when I asked if they used Royal Mail they wouldn't tell me Confused

I've sent DB door to door to see if a kind soul took them in but it doesn't look promising thieving cunts

imsorryiasked · 04/10/2017 18:54

Might be handy for padding out stockings: Kellogs are doing limited edition unicorn fruit loops - instore at asda today at £2.

17caterpillars1mouse · 04/10/2017 18:58

Hi does anybody have a discount code for the Disney store

LostMyRubySlippers · 04/10/2017 19:03

Does anyone have the link for all the bargain magazine subscriptions from MSE that was on the last thread please?? Was searching for it last night but couldn't find it Confused

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 04/10/2017 19:05

Ahhh, they've taken the Tesco cadburys bargain down already! Spoilsports.

MiniMileyMoo · 04/10/2017 19:05

Anyone got a spare ELC birthday club code? DS birthday next week and we didn’t get emailed a code as usual, and now want to order a last min extra thing! (The one thing he has asked for too!). Thank you !!

QuilliamCakespeare · 04/10/2017 19:07

No prob, Sprouts Grin

penstemon · 04/10/2017 19:07

time it may be that my DC are spectacularly unimaginative but they have always enjoyed the Playmobil sets that relate more to their daily lives e.g. school, playground, swimming pool, hotel, farm than things like the fire station or the vets. It's a though once they've done a couple of obvious scenarios, they don't know what to do whereas if it is something we do regularly, they can re-enact lots of different things. For example, the school children are currently practising lock down a lot and at the farm there are two mum's rushing around frantically looking for a toddler who'd decided to hide & are getting staff involved etc as that is what happened to my friend & I the other day.

penstemon · 04/10/2017 19:08

And on wrapping, I wait until December. Everything is in the loft & then I put aside a couple of evenings in December and drink Baileys & watch a Christmassy novel.

Gooseysgirl · 04/10/2017 19:13

Mini I have a code I'm not using - it came from mothercare but should work!

Stiddleficks · 04/10/2017 19:16

Can anyone recommend some both bombs, I've never used them so have no idea but SIL likes them, although she's very vague on which ones. I know some can be pricey and I think she doesn't want us spending much on her Confused

GingleBelle · 04/10/2017 19:22

Thanks for the new thread Smile

WhyamIBoredathome · 04/10/2017 19:28

Stiddle Lush bath bombs are the best imo
