Talking of sweet dispensers, the people that brought the candy grabbers last year, were they any good? I'm thinking of buying one this year. I've been desperately looking for one of the old cadbury mini milk money box dispensers but can't find them anywhere so candy grabber is the next best thing

Pumpkintopf · 04/10/2017 16:56

Thanks for new thread Reastie.

SockEatingMonster · 04/10/2017 17:01

I bought DS the IWOOT (I know, I know) candy grabber for Christmas 2014 and it's still going strong. It was used a couple of times for sweets, but has been used for moshi monsters and small Pokemon figures since then. It briefly stopped working earlier this year, for reasons I never fully understood, but then came back to life and has been fine ever since.

The music does make me want to kill though...

I don’t feel like I need to remember what I’ve bought really...makes it all a nice surprise for everyone! 😂

Different paper for each child and who from too. And stacked on top of the wardrobe under an old Gro Blind. Though DD will click onto that for next year, so it may be the loft from then on!

Asda have a £10 light box which I got for my niece and it seems to have gone down well.

Thank you to the bookpeople code poster on last thread. Got my three their books sorted

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/10/2017 17:18

Thanks reastie.

FlowerTink · 04/10/2017 17:21

Thank you Reastie! I'm also attempting wrapping now, hoping to make it easier on myself this year if I start now. I'm colour co-ordinating presents this year for round the tree, so presents for dd in one wrapping paper and dh in another...saving labelling things!

Sad oh ego I do hope it's not all been stolen, or at least if it has that you'll be able to get the money back Angry

Thanks for thread reastie.

light boxes Poundland the green one have for £5. I've not bought one so don't know what like they are though. I did buy one for DD1 last year from another store and this year she's getting some extra letters/emjojis to go with it, from Amazon for about a fiver. Might be a nice addition.

macnab · 04/10/2017 17:43

TellMeItsNotTrue and anyone else looking for the LOL Big Surprise doll

I'm in Ireland and its available now for pre-order on the Smyths website if you change to Euro. Not sure if that helps anyone in UK at all but maybe means that the UK site will show pre-order soon so worth checking it regularly in case they add it soon.

I've got this Christmas planner, and it's brilliant. Feeling quite organised this year (compared to last year anyway!). Lovely little sections and stickers too.

@OhHolyFuck Thank you for sharing the nspcc link, such a great way to raise money. I'll be doing that!!

eitak22 · 04/10/2017 17:58

I saw that Sainsburys had a deal on Disney dvds (think it was 2 for 14) which is a pretty good price might be good for christmas eve boxes.

Any works vouchers? I have some requests for craft/science experiments for christmas/birthday.
