Not a bargain (for me!) but just grumping - attempting to clear some of the old toys for Christmas so advertise a massive bundle of happyland, all the big sets and a load of people/animals, plus 20odd toot toot cars
Receive a ton of messages saying 'wud u sell 4 fiver nd delivar'
Errr...no.
That all cost over £400 new, I'm not going to be out of pocket (£7.50 on a bus) and lug it all to you surprisingly

BWatchWatcher · 09/10/2017 13:07

Anyone have hard to but for people who like gin?
I signed my dh up to the craft gin club last year and we get a tasty gin, snacks and complimentary stuff every two months (but it can come monthly). The gin is always brilliant.
They're running ginpals, where if you sign up, enter the code GINPALS10 it should give you £10 off a box.
I will also get £10 off a future box.
If they ask you to confirm your friend drop me a message and I'll send you whatever details they need.

TheftBy get some Christmassy cellophane bags and pop the mug in with some posh tea/coffee or some chocs and tie with ribbon, looks love and no need for the box

WhyamIBoredathome · 09/10/2017 13:15

simplynigella am I doing something wrong on 100 toys? I can only see up
To 40% on sale section and a lot of that is out of stock. Have I missed something?

theaveragewife · 09/10/2017 13:16

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but last year when 'hatchimalgate' occurred I found this site stock informer and managed to get my hands on one when it was sold out. The toys often go in and out of stock minutes later, and this site tracks which stores have the most popular toys in and sets off a loud siren (DH was very pleased with my hatchimal buying at 4am Grin)

Anyway, I now have two big lol surprises and thought I'd pass the info on to any of you struggling to get hold of one - you will before Christmas if you keep this site on!! (see also fingerlings, hatchimal nursery, eggs, snes)

theftbyfinding · 09/10/2017 13:16

Oh what a lovely idea IHopeYouStep . Off to Ebay for cellophane. Good wrapping really does make the difference.

theftbyfinding · 09/10/2017 13:19

And I feel a bit silly for whinging re the boxes anyway. 3 mugs for £20 instead of £60 is a fabulous bargain. The difficulty now is gifting them when I clearly want them for myself Grin

BrickInTheWall · 09/10/2017 13:27

Just a quick note to rave about maplins customer service.. I missed out on the half price 3Dprinting pen but popped into my local store today to ask if it would be going back on promotion before christmas. They said they would price match their own promotion even though it ended on the 2nd of October. Very very pleased 😊

LikeSilver · 09/10/2017 13:52

I made the mistake of starting a 'tradition' that Santa brings the kids a soft toy with their stocking. Dd and Ds now of course have thousands but I need to carry on! I'm toying (ha) with the Disney Store £12 medium teddies but they already have most of them Blush although there are a couple I could buy. I'm drawing a blank on where to otherwise get nice soft toys...any ideas?

Santa brought Robert last year Grin

BeaLola · 09/10/2017 13:55

Jellycat or White Company for soft toys

Reastie · 09/10/2017 14:04

Ohholyfuck I feel your pain. It's like the 'interested' comments that then go away and don't come back and when you're selling clothes and you get questions about the exact measurements/colour etc and you know at the end of it they won't have it anyway.

Claires do nice beanie boo toys

Reastie · 09/10/2017 14:07

Theft that's funny they didn't come in boxes. I was sure on the EB website when I ordered mine the picture showed a box in the background (maybe I imagined it!).

Likesilver I have started so many Christmas traditions I now regret as we have to now do then every year! Thank goodness I only have 1 dd or I could not keep track or cope.

theftbyfinding · 09/10/2017 14:12

Reastie I think yours will probably come with boxes. The ones I chose didn't have a box behind them for some reason.

Pippin8 · 09/10/2017 14:29

Don’t know if this has already been posted.
20% off at Sophie Allport 18WNT20.

Wiifitmama · 09/10/2017 14:45

I got a dispatch note about the EB mugs so it looks like they are honouring it. I am very disappointed to hear that they do not come in boxes though. I ordered two of the city ones which definitely showed boxes on their website.

MrsCrimbo74 · 09/10/2017 14:54

Bosch Tassimo coffee machine was £104.99 now £49.99 at Robert Dyas plus 10% off with code VCLOUD10 bringing it down to £44.99

eitak22 · 09/10/2017 14:57

I do not need the play doh pizza, i do not need the play doh pizza.

Any one see any discounts on the new Jamie oliver book let me know, mum wants it for christmas. (or her birthday which is 5 days after... seriously!)

yumyumpoppycat · 09/10/2017 14:57

Likesilver I am having a similar soft toy tradition dilemma, there are nice ones in the disney offer that we haven't got but I have sorted a big charity bag of cuddlies just yesterday so feels mad to buy more but they would love them! Previous years we have also got from Clintons instore and large Ty ones from Claires accessories online. Wilkos can be good too.

RJnomore1 · 09/10/2017 15:01

Some of the EB mugs clearly say "boxed" the rest do not.

Badders08 · 09/10/2017 15:04

Some nice Harry potter stuff in Primark today
Got ds2 (9) a Pokemon onesie, socks and pants :)
Ds1 is harder (14) but got him a star wars lightsaber toothbrush and a Darth Vader usb stick

Wiifitmama · 09/10/2017 15:11

Ah ok. The two that I ordered definitely have boxes on the website. Not sure about the dotty mug but if it is not in a mug, I may see if I can get a gift box for it. As I am picking mine up in store, I could always ask them if they have a spare - very cheeky of me but worth a try!

BluthsFrozenBananas · 09/10/2017 15:12

Just a warning for anyone buying little bits from china for advent calendars. I ordered something for DD's the other day, the expected delivery date was given as some time in November, but I've had a message today to say it's now due 3rd December.

MrsCrimbo74 · 09/10/2017 15:17

eitak22 Which book is the new one? If it's the 5 Ingredients one it's on the book people website for £11.99 but you get 15% off with code OCT17 bringing it down to £10.19

Reastie · 09/10/2017 15:19

Re cuddly toys annually would something like this work? . Not that bargainous for what it is but is very small so doesn't take up much space! Ty do little versions of some of their hideous cuddly toys with the glittery big eyes too so if your dc had one of the bigger cuddly toys they might like a mini version to put on their backpack/school bag likesilver/yumy. Dd has a Harrods bear key ring. Last time we were there they were 3 for 2 in store (although realise most people might be too far away to pop to harrods!).
