My favourite is Santa Claus the movie. We watched it in the cinema when I was a little girl, it was my first cinema trip and we ate ice cream in little tubs.

Every year I watch it and enjoy it just as much as I did that first time.

Elf is a close second, then Christmas with the Kranks.

What's your favourite xmas film and why?

"You'll shoot your eye out!". I love it!

Elf!

It's beaten It's a Wonderful Life in my books. It's sweet and funny and it has so many good lines to quote.
"SANTA! OH MY GOD! SANTA'S COMING! I KNOW HIM! I KNOW HIM!"

OLittleTownOfBarflehem · 09/12/2013 10:31

Andi, I love that scene! No-one pulls off childlike joy like Will Ferrell. I love when the fake santa arrives "Don't tell him, he's a fraud!"

We can watch Elf over and over again!

And I like Annabelle's Wish too - very sweet :)

Metebelis3 · 09/12/2013 10:44

ElenorRigby · 09/12/2013 12:17

It's a Wonderful LifeXmas Smile

mannbookeriwish · 09/12/2013 12:27

Polar Express 'if you just be-lieeeeve'

jamtoast12 · 09/12/2013 13:10

Elf. Don't get the polar express at all. Our entire family hated it!

jamtoast12 · 09/12/2013 13:11

Though the soundtrack is lovely :)

MrFranklyShankly · 09/12/2013 13:15

It has to be elf for me, it's hilarious and sweet without being too much, my dds love that bit Andimac! I find the scene where he is sitting on papa elfs knee funny every time! And where he doesn't know how to use the escalator reminds me of my mum!!!

Kveta · 09/12/2013 13:17

Muppet Christmas Carol is one of my favourite films, not just for christmas!
'Light the lamp, not the rat, LIGHT THE LAMP NOT THE RAT!'

also love Love Actually, Elf, and It's a Wonderful Life :)

juneybean · 09/12/2013 13:17

Whilst I love Love Actually, my favourite christmas movie has to be Miracle on 34th Street (new)

CallingAllEngels · 09/12/2013 13:26

Muppet CC!

Waspie · 09/12/2013 13:39

Die Hard is my favourite. followed by Trading Places.

Home Alone is my favourite family Christmas movie though.

chicaguapa · 09/12/2013 13:51

It's a Wonderful Life is my favourite.

We have Elf and Miracle of 34th Street for the DC to watch in the car on the way to the DGP for Christmas. They won't watch Muppet Christmas Carol though they'd love it if they did. Angry

caramelapple · 09/12/2013 14:34

So difficult to choose but Santa Claus the movie has to win it, however embarrassing it is to admit

caramelapple · 09/12/2013 14:36

oooh the holiday is a close second
