Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Mama1980 · 16/09/2013 08:02

Thanks again everyone,I've got some great bargains Smile
My 2 ds's are easy to buy for but my daughter 15 I haven't got a clue, she has a iPhone and iPad but doesn't really use either very much. Any thoughts........Smile

Penguinbeaver · 16/09/2013 08:29

Bangzo books have the complete Alice collection for £9.99 on their deal of the day today, sorry cant link at moment.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 16/09/2013 08:30

Robofish are pretend electronic fish that look like fish and swim when they are in water like a fish. Reviews on battery life are terrible but on fish good. I think it might be a ten minute wonder for the dc so I didn't want to pay £10 for one. Will report back on the quality of the one I bought when it arrives!

Rugbylovingmum · 16/09/2013 08:59

Mama1980 is your daughter sporty? I find it impossible to buy for my DN 14yrs - she is just too cool and trendy Grin. We have started clubbing together and buying her experience type things she can do with her mates - we got an annual cinema pass for her birthday and last xmas we paid for her and her friend to go to the snowdome for a snowboarding lesson and an airboarding session. This year we are either going for go-carting or indoor ski-diving. She has loved these type of gifts so far but she and her mates are quite sporty so like trying new things (we always pay for her plus a friend).

bymoonlight · 16/09/2013 09:23

Boots had half price Peppa Pig playsets instore. They were also on the 3 for 2 so a really good deal if your store has any left.

joymaker · 16/09/2013 09:26

ProtectiveMother and bymoonlight thank you for your feedback re the innotab- both you and a vid on youtube confirmed my suspicions. Was going to put it away for a bit but not prepared to hoard it away for ages (something new/better will probably have been created by then!) Still it would have been rude not to have considered it at such a bargainous price, thank you to the MNetter who posted it Smile

Can anyone tell me what the 'pull' of the Yankee Candle is as opposed to others?

JustBecauseICan · 16/09/2013 09:32

FREEDELV book people for orders over £10 until Wed.

BlackStiltonBoots · 16/09/2013 09:47

I found a Paper Jamz Microphone on Amazon for £6.30 with free delivery here works out cheaper than the Home Bargains link. Looks as if it will take a while to arrive though.

joymaker · 16/09/2013 09:50

does anyone know when M & S usually have their sale?

SarahAndFuck · 16/09/2013 09:50

I had the same email JustBecause but the code on mine is just FREEDEL without the 'V' on the end. Same otherwise though, spend over £10 and valid until Wednesday.

I've just used it to get two sets of books, one for my mother and one for DS, and an Angry Birds book for DS as well that seems to be a bit like a Where's Wally style search and find puzzle book.

SarahAndFuck · 16/09/2013 09:54

I've also had my first Yodel experience.

Ordered from Yellow Moon, found the box hidden by the dustbin this morning and carefully disguised by a pile of garden objects.

So carefully disguised that it was only by chance that I found it, since they never knocked or left a card. It must have been out there for at least two days.

Yellow Moon things were very good though. A mini puzzle ball for DS and a make your own sporran kit for my uncle. Both were in the sale.

JustBecauseICan · 16/09/2013 09:54

Oh, possibly! I just rushed over to pop it on the thread (and I know the M and S ones tend to be FREEDELV Grin)

TheHandbagOfGlory · 16/09/2013 09:58

SpottyTeacakes Zuililly have the Hello Kitty pillow pet on today.

PoppyWearer · 16/09/2013 10:06

I'm looking for good deals on bottles of fizz (of the alcoholic variety) as I seem to give away loads of it to the cleaner, hairdresser, nursery teachers, teachers, neighbours, etc for Christmas. Plus taking to parties...

My current favourite is San Leo Prosecco, currently down to £7.79 a bottle from £10.49, and I always stock up on it when it's reduced as it costs less than my favourite wine at that price, but looks more impressive. The danger being that I drink it all before Christmas...Blush

But if anyone spots any other reductions on proper champers, please let me know! IME the best deals are before October half term on these kinds of drinks, plus stuff like gin, and the only reductions closer to Christmas are on things like beer. And who cares about beer?!?! Grin

PoppyWearer · 16/09/2013 10:12

Right, I think I've answered my own question...the Prosecco I mentioned below was from Waitrose but I checked the Ocado price and it's £6.99, even cheaper there.

If I order some and store it in the garage I might not drink it all! Grin

PoppyWearer · 16/09/2013 10:13

Still need some proper champagne to take to PILs though. They don't believe in Prosecco and Cava...

bulletwithbutterflywings · 16/09/2013 10:16

Poppy there is a pink champagne on Ocado down to 19.99 from about 35 I think :)

SpottyTeacakes · 16/09/2013 10:18

TheHandbag re read my post Grin

PoppyWearer · 16/09/2013 10:20

Thanks bullet but pink fizz also not liked by PILs. Will keep hunting! Grin

bulletwithbutterflywings · 16/09/2013 10:20

I think that offer has ended, but they do have 20% off if you buy 4 selected wines - quite a few champers there.

RhondaJean · 16/09/2013 11:05

Rugbylovingmum - I totally misunderstood your post about clubbing together Shock had my judgeypants hoiked round my ears at the thought of you and 14yo dd in a nightclub! [ grin]

Snowgirl1 · 16/09/2013 11:08

PoppyWearer Sainsbury's and Asda both had Moet reduced from normal price of £32 to £25, but just had a look at their websites and it looks like it's back to normal price in both shops. MSE is reporting Tesco's has Nicolas Feuillate champagne reduced by 50% to £14.99 until Tue 24 Sept.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 16/09/2013 11:14

Rhonda thats how I read Rugbys post too!!!

Littlemousewithcloggson · 16/09/2013 11:17

On the small offchance that somebody hasnt bought enough books yet Grin this looks good for a 7 year old

www.amazon.co.uk/Funny-Stories-For-Year-Olds/dp/0330349457/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=JWQ8DO52NGUL&coliid=I2XCK41JYI8UJ1

NeverQuiteSure · 16/09/2013 11:19

To those considering using the Vertbaudet 0628 code (£15 off a £20 spend plus a free gift of musical instruments or a colouring set), I have uploaded 2 photos of the colouring set to my profile

I can't say it's hugely impressive; the case is a little squished and damaged around the edges and the plastic is flimsy, but bundled in with a colouring book, it will suffice as nice stocking filler for one of the DC.

It's a whole lot better than that god-awful sports bag they sent last time.
