Sixth thread Shock but it’s OK we are allowed to get excited about Christmas now as it’s September

I’ve been a bit sporadic with this OP in what has been selected for adding in or not as there are too many links to add them all in, hope I haven’t forgotten anything major. Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren’t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. I haven’t checked all links to see if prices have altered since last thread so apologies if youg et very excited followed by disappointed. I will try to do better next time. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don’t work or if there’s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Sorry I just had to write about Yankee Candles. I know lots of people like them but I think they're horrible and overpriced. Firstly, they don't look good, they're not luxury items and they dont smell nice!

If you're looking for a candle treat, try LoveOlli. They're £20 each but they're handpoured with soy wax, the fragrances are beautiful and they look great! They come in a painted tealight glass that can be used as such after the candle is finished however they last AGES and feel really luxurious with the complimentary matches tucked inside and you can buy lovely cards and other gifts on the site LOVEOLLI

CheungFun · 16/09/2013 12:16

I've ordered 2 of the Duplo Number trains off of Amazon, DS has one and loves it, so I've ordered one each for his 2 friends :)

LoreleisSecret · 16/09/2013 12:34

I read Rugby's post the same way. Took me a while to realise Grin

SarahAndFuck · 16/09/2013 12:38

I found a brand new Yankee Candle in a charity shop for £1.50. It was one of the big ones and in Clean Cotton, the scent I've always liked best. But I was never able to justify buying myself one at full price, especially as Waterstones is right by the candle shop in town. It was like the charity shop worked a small miracle just for me Grin

I bought it, thought about giving it away, and then stuck in the bathroom and take the lid of to sniff it every time I'm in there which is sometimes very necessary after DH has been in there first

This adds nothing to the thread except the point that you never know what you might find when you look. As I was demanding they take it from the window another woman ran in and shouted "NO!" at me. I said sorry but I didn't mean it.

MooseyMoo · 16/09/2013 12:38

I just had my order of Yankee candles and got winter wonderland, sparking snow and apple wreath. The apple one is divine, even fussy DH likes it. This is the first time I've ordered but apparently they last a long time.

The winter wonderland is lovely too. Haven't opened sparkling snow as its a present (bought the medium tumblers which are double wick candles in glass jar with lid), which IMO looked the nicest

Thanks toowettowoo, going there later (wondering can I hide it from ds1?). Was in Smyths this morning, got an innotab - embarassingly it will be for my not-yet-two year old, but if it gets him away from my ipad (what's the min age for that I wonder?!) then it will be worth it. Games were buy one get one free, iirc. Not spending another 14.99 though.
