girlwiththeyellowhats do we have any news yet?

Fifth thread already, how did that happen?! I?ve booked our panto tickets now so am feeling very festive Grin . Tips I learnt from the last thread number 24837 - wrap a huge cardboard box in christmas gift wrap to put all the rubbish on christmas day in rather than a bin bag so you don?t get a black plastic sack in all of the photos

Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

That's what I was thinking Spotty, thanks :)

They don't seem to get amazing reviews so hoping they last!

iloveholidays · 07/09/2013 20:41

Done :) Hoping people remind us all when to cancel :)

Has anyone cancelled women's health yet?

hoppingmad · 07/09/2013 20:43

Thank you bea, did everyone get the cheap robot?

My lego from toysrus arrived today (thank you to whoever posted that). Dd1 has been after the lego friends stuff for ages so will be delighted even if I don't think of it as 'proper' lego

joymaker · 07/09/2013 20:44

No wellies for me either Reastie Sad I'm a size 7 too

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2013 20:46

Not yet I thought I would wait until I'd paid the £3?! It's coming out £1 at a time.

Most of us have our robots now Smile

nuttybean · 07/09/2013 20:48

thanks, wellies ordered. i was going to get myself some a few weeks ago so am chuffed that i got them even cheaper! how soon do you think you can cancel? never done anything like this before so am a bit apprehensive.

iloveholidays · 07/09/2013 20:48

Bum... Just read this...

Can I cancel my subscription?
The minimum term for a magazine with Hearst Magazines UK is 12 months. Subscriptions may be cancelled by providing 28 days notice in writing prior to the first anniversary of your subscription.

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2013 20:55

What are they going to do if you cancel? Take you to court? The £50 court fees wouldn't be worth their time Grin

Plus it doesn't say that on the t&cs on the main page

iloveholidays · 07/09/2013 20:58

so you reckon just cancel with your bank? Not done this before so excuse my ignorance :)

SpottyTeacakes · 07/09/2013 21:02

Yep I would. Could always send them an email confirming that you're cancelling it

VeeAndTea · 07/09/2013 21:03

I always sign up for mags to get freebies and cancel the dd as soon as the initial payment is taken. I've had opi polishes, skin care stuff, l'occtaine moisturiser and perfume in the past. Its no prob to cancel at all.

WH Smith has kobo's from £30 for the mini which is ace, dh loves his. The touch is only £40.

VeeAndTea · 07/09/2013 21:04

Sorry, I cancel with bank.

iloveholidays · 07/09/2013 21:05

Cool, I need to stop worrying! :) Hope wellies aren't too big now :).

nuttybean · 07/09/2013 21:07

oh bugger! so just cancel with the bank after first payement has gone out?

iloveholidays · 07/09/2013 21:09

Yes Nutty, think I've probably worried over nothing. You'll be able to see the DD on an online account. I'd cancel once you've received the wellies.

Reastie · 07/09/2013 21:10

All this talk of free gift magazine subscriptions I've been hunting and found this (copied from MSE, haven't done it myself but might be worth a try?)

Red October 2013 issue Subscription Offer

Free ESPA Lift & Firm Mask worth £38

£9.99 for your first six issues by DD. £18 every six issues after that.

Visit www.qualitymagazines.co.uk/red/SB03 or call 0844 848 1601 and quote 1RD10039

Nutty, yes. Smile

nuttybean · 07/09/2013 21:11

ok thanks iloveholidays

VeeAndTea · 07/09/2013 21:12

Ooh, reastie, I'll do that. I like Red!

MissElodie · 07/09/2013 22:08

erm does anyone know how long do you think unopened smellies will last for?

I've found some lovely gift sets I bought in the Boots Jan 2011 Blush Blush sale but forgot I had! I wonder if they would be ok to give as presents this year? Not sure I want to risk it incase they may smell off or the texture goes a bit funny!

MissElodie · 07/09/2013 22:23

actually it may have been Jan 2012 which doesn't make me feel as bad!

itsonlysubterfuge · 07/09/2013 22:24

So how old are most children when they start playing with Little People/ Happyland type things?

DD will be 18 months in the first week of January and I'm still unsure of what big present I should get her for Christmas. So far she has loads of books for Christmas...

Chockywockydoodah · 07/09/2013 22:31

Itsonly My DD started to show interest in Happyland stuff around 18 months and over time I gradually built up her village set and now she has loads of it! By far her most loved and played with of all her toys (and any other children that come to visit)!!

shufflebum · 07/09/2013 22:37

Are the free wellies with Country Living spotty. The description says sporty but think that a typo! I want plain ones!

WithConfidence · 07/09/2013 22:37

Ds had some inherited Happyland about 1yo and has gradually got more and more use as he got older. Vehicles probably got played with first so I would go for some of those. Age 2-3 he has really got into the train track with powered train.
