The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

sameold has already mentioned it, but thanks to oreo's Argos nightie set earlier I also found the £9.99 Thomas PJ/dressing gown/slipper set. What a brilliant price! I think that's going in the Christmas Eve hamper!

The Sleeping Beauty nighties were sold out near us (shame as I think they are the nicest ones) but I picked up another one of the princess ones.

I also popped into M&S earlier (to return something, honest!) and picked up some little bits of silver jewellery for DD and DN, some of which have initials on (luckily theirs were still available) for £3 a set, including a necklace and ring. They had the new stock, similar style, in for £10 each, but in a box. I think I have some little jewellery boxes knocking around so should be able to make the £3 set look a lot more expensive!

Also seemed to be lots of little hairclip sets, and some gorgeous velvet hair bands in school colours (not in the sale though).

PoppyWearer · 02/09/2013 13:19

ThanksThanksThanksThanks MooseyMoo my DDad loves Monty Python, as do I, so have bought one of those box sets for him and one for me!

(They are currently £12 on Amazon.)

PoppyWearer · 02/09/2013 13:21

And no postage?!

ipswichwitch · 02/09/2013 13:22

after the farce of robotgate I'm almost too scared to post that I am still looking for a Gadget the Robot sob, for less than the princely sum of £40 (going rate at the minute).
I've had a good scout about but nothing yet, so if anyone sees one for a good price please let me know. every time DS sees the advert he get all excited and starts saying "ooohhhhh!" (he's only 23 months!) so I really want to get him one for christmas.
TIA

MultumInParvo & Oreocrumbs* pashmina scarves arrived Saturday.

MooseyMoo · 02/09/2013 13:23

Yes, free delivery as well. My DH loves MP. I have only recently seen it. And he kept sniggering before the best lines Hmm

SurvivalOfTheUnfittest · 02/09/2013 13:33

Just went to order several copies of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory book linked to above and amazon wanted to charge me postage on each item individually. Googled Bargain Book Time (the seller on Amazon) and found their own website. Ordered books for 14 quid (including a bonus snow Charlie and Lola book and cd for 1.99) and am only paying 2 quid postage on the lot. A good deal me thinks.

ots · 02/09/2013 13:40

Poppy thanks for the Thomas pyjama set, what a great deal! Thanks

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 02/09/2013 13:48

I'm still here and still pregnant, much to my disgust, sameold thanks for asking. Can't believe the thread is nearly full already

Slainte · 02/09/2013 14:15

Oh girlwiththeyellowhat I thought we hadn't heard from you because you were in hospital. How far overdue are you now?

BeaWheesht · 02/09/2013 14:18

Argh ds is learning about Roald D at school and I'm reason his C&CF at bedtime and he watched the retro film of it yesterday. I soooooo want the pop up book!!!!

ballinacup · 02/09/2013 14:40

Anyone have any idea when the Boots toy sale ends? They have a Meccano set I'm after that say stock arriving soon but I'm assuming it will be after the sale has ended...

FriskyHenderson · 02/09/2013 15:01

Thanks for that tip Survival

BirdingWidow · 02/09/2013 15:24

Just wanted to say thanks so much for WHSmiths 'that's not my...' Bundle and the mermaid book tip. I am thrilled with them both. Book bundle is being split for DS's birthday and Christmas, mermaid book already out and being enjoyed by me.

About to give Magpie lots of my money too for DSis and MIL. Good job DS is too young for most things on this thread (playmobil etc) as I am trying not to accumulate too much stuff generally. Books excepted Grin. Now trying to resist pop-up Charlie, which would have to sit in a cupboard for next 5 years...

FriskyHenderson · 02/09/2013 15:55

Bread and Jam www.wearebreadandjam.co.uk/ seem similar to Magpie for mugs - they do sales via their FB page, but also sell from NOTHS, so the 10-15% discount codes work there.

PoppyWearer · 02/09/2013 16:03

I've had a notification that my Magpie order will arrive tomorrow (if I'm in).

Lioninthesun · 02/09/2013 16:04

Christ on a bike - you guys are flying through these threads and it was quite hard to find you! Marking place now so hopefully can keep up!
I have this voucher from Photobox for 60% off a small (9 pic) collage print www.photobox.co.uk/crm/landing/60-off-collage and the code is POPCOLLAGE (in case link doesn't work!)

NeverQuiteSure · 02/09/2013 17:35

Thank you to VoldemortsNipple I think for pursuading me to start a Christmas Eve hamper transition. Mine are still young and it's nice to know it's something we can continue to enjoy together after - sob - they stop believing in the man in the red.

Reastie · 02/09/2013 18:21

We do a 1st december AND christmas eve hamper/gift Blush Blush . They are only v small though. 1st december one the elf on the shelf brings and it has a chocolate advent calendar, a felt on with the nativity scene that comes out every year, a christmas themed book and the christmas PJs (last year I was naughty and got the elf on the shelf official ones shipped over from USA but got them 3 years too big for DD in the hope they get a few years wear!). On christmas even it's more a small present the elf leaves as a parting gift until next year as he had such a good time watching DD all month ( Hmm ) and it's some kind of toy to keep her busy for a little while. Might add a festive DVD this year too.

Am currently putting together next thread as we're running out of room, will be back around 8:30 - 9pm to set it up so anything you want added/changed let me know before then Thanks .

I have been very quiet this thread but I am lurking all the time and trying to sit on my credit card
