The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

vertbaudet have asked me to send a copy of the promotional email showing the code on it!

SpottyTeacakes · 30/08/2013 08:27

Ilove 'sorry but my trash folder only holds emails for one week. I think that's pretty standard, please don't call me a liar' Grin

iloveholidays · 30/08/2013 08:30

I've said I don't keep promotional emails. its all irrelevant anyway. If I wasn't eligible then 1, it shouldn't have let me choose a gift and 2, they shouldn't have sent me a sports bag as that completely contradicts their argument!!!

beadyboo · 30/08/2013 08:37

Anyone know of a dolls pram on offer anywhere? It's for my 6yo dd, who I thought was over dolls etc but her Aunt is expecting and she's become obsessed with all things baby! A lot of them are made for toddlers so the handle is too low, and ToysRus only seems to have mini "real" prams for a fortune - this may be a passing phase!

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 30/08/2013 09:21

Hi beadyboo I had the same problem trying to find a 'big' pram for my 5yo dd. Everything seemed to be too small for her. So I bought \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/Mamas-Papas-Urbo-Pram-Sugar/dp/B007KG23XE/ref=pd_sxp_f_pt\this} one for her 5th birthday.

It's a great size for her even now she's almost 6. And she's quite tall for her age (in 7-8 clothing).

I think i paid around £50 for it last year, so the Amazon price seems good.

iloveholidays · 30/08/2013 09:31

we have noted your comments, sadly as the code was leaked to a website with out our permission with out the email of the offer we can not send out an alternative gift.

as you can imagine I have sent quite a harsh response!!! I am genuinely very disappointed in vertbaudet and have no plans to use them again, not the way to treat customers. shame really as I like the clothes.

SpottyTeacakes · 30/08/2013 09:32

It's stupid that they're letting some people have it and not others?!

beadyboo · 30/08/2013 09:35

Brilliant EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin, have ordered. Thanks

CatAmongThePigeons · 30/08/2013 09:36

Lego storage boxes £12.99 down from £20-odd at Asda here. Can click and collect in store for free

iloveholidays · 30/08/2013 09:38

spotty, I did say that in my email along with asking why my order went through in the first place and why have they sent me 2 sports bags. also asked them to close my account. will see if they reply

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2013 10:36

I just bought the snot dispenser and the hungry caterpillar book set from Amazon so Thanks

It was quite amusing looking at the bottom of the page at the 'things other customers have looked at' bit, as it was mostly things linked to on this thread Grin

chirpchirp · 30/08/2013 10:37

Thanks for the Lego storage link Cat. Does anyone know what John Lewis' policy is with the "never knowlingly undersold" thing? The asda one is out of stock and I work right next to JL, would they be obliged to match that price or does the have a hundred of exceptions like sale items etc?

Chockywockydoodah · 30/08/2013 10:56

For Sylvanian Families fans? Sylvanian DVD £3.83

I've been raiding Sainsburys again. Found some lovely tissue paper craft sets and tinsel pipe cleaners (which look great wrapped around a pine cone). Ravensburger puzzles (disney princess, doc mcstuffins, Minnie Mouse & hello kitty) reduced to £3.99. 4 separate puzzles in one box.

And saw superman and rapunzel fancy dress half price in store only though.

My DD has similar Mamas and Papas toy pram and it's fine for her. She's 112cm

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 30/08/2013 11:22

\link{http://www.very.co.uk/toys/e/b/5132,5615.end\Very} have a good toy sale on.

They also have the new \link{http://www.very.co.uk/toys/e/b/5132,5615.end\Playmobil Hotel} for £80. Cheapest I've seen it.

zipzap · 30/08/2013 11:35

The Play deal of the day today (ends midnight or sooner if they run out) has got loads of hoodies for £7.99 which are probably boring for christmas presents but handy at the start of autumn for some cheap warmth! No idea of the quality but it says they are made by BraveSoul, Karma Clothing or Trueface if anybody has heard of them?

Lots of different colours, mostly just plain hoodies with zips up the front but some have some strange toggle buttons too. Very strange - or maybe I'm just getting old Grin

There's also the book people flash sale at lunchtime (12-2) but I haven't had an email about it yet to know what it is!

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2013 11:55

I have just reserved a Sylvanian Families Campervan and trailer set at Argos, in the clearance, for £22.99. Also got a grey rabbit family of 7 for £11.99. Pretty good I reckon Smile

LaTrucha · 30/08/2013 12:00

You cn stack 1304 with the Henens free delivery code above for £5 off your order

Freemilk · 30/08/2013 12:03

john Lewis say they will price match but I have certainly had them refuse to do so in the past (stupidly it was to a price in a different John Lewis)

I have also had pretty crappy goods like mouldy raspberries and my poor MIL has a 13 month old TV that won't work at all and they are refusing to do anything.

I have also had them refuse to honour their own prices at the till in the past too (Waitrose)

Freemilk · 30/08/2013 12:04

Apparently my WHSmith stuff is on it's way to the local shop!

raisah · 30/08/2013 12:10

Next Book People Sale is today at St. Thomas' Hospital, Central Hall, London between 10am -3pm.
Friday 30 August.

chirpchirp · 30/08/2013 12:11

Thanks Freemilk. Just realised I've left without my wallet this morning so won't be able to go and try my luck today anyway.
