The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Thanks Reastie - you're cunning!

Iloveholidays I rang Vertbaudet and they told me the free gifts had run out and bad luck. Someone on this thread had posted that Vertbaudet's facebook page and said sorry if you're disappointed but ring us if you want a more age appropriate gift. So I quoted that at them and said I was only ringing because their facebook page said to ring them. They said they'd have to look into it and call me back - they called me back (two days later) and offered all sorts of things. I went for wooden veg.

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 16:23

the wooden veg should be on my profile let me know if not :)

whoneedstosleep · 29/08/2013 16:26

The play dough candy cyclone is fab! We got it last year :)

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 16:32

was really confused today when only 1 of the 12 books i ordered turned up with the post but rang them and they said they sometimes come from different warehouses and the rest are on their way

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 16:44

Your profile isn't public I don't think

paperclipsarebetterthanstaples · 29/08/2013 16:45

I Facebooked Vertbaudet (after the tip on here) and said the sports bag was no good for my DS (18 months), that I knew it was a free gift so wasn't really bothered as long as it was age appropriate. They sent the sports bag!! Facebooked them again today and they've apologised and are apparently sending me wooden pull along train - DS is train mad so massive result for a £4 spend on a t-shirt :)

LoreleisSecret · 29/08/2013 16:53

Got a fab peppa pig play set from asdas £40 down to £19 and the fisher price cookie jar £20 down to £10 yesterday. Instore only i believe Smile

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 16:57

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 17:09

kiwidreamer · 29/08/2013 17:24

I see someone has posted the Tales From Acorn Wood book, £2 from Amazon but there is also Pirate Crusher for £1.75 bargain!!

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 17:33

i need to buy some actual presents now :) keep buying stocking fillers...

Trazzletoes · 29/08/2013 17:35

Amazon has 100 paper planes to cold and fly at 30-odd percent off. DS has it and its a great book - the planes are grouped in to about 5 different groups and then each plane in a group folds the same way. The different pages have different patterns on. It's pretty good for primary school age children I think.

iloveholidays · 29/08/2013 17:39

same here super although hoping as I've got such good bargains I can pass some off as being tree presents!! got far too many books so decided to keep one back for each dd for late afternoon for calm down time! Smile

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 17:44

i think last year the stockings/santa bag was full of tat though that ended up in the bin or lost whereas this year it will have some lovely bits in :) and the main presents i dont like to get too early as they change their minds a daft amount. i am the same with the books...i shall forever be known as the auntie who always buys them a book

kiwidreamer · 29/08/2013 17:56

teacakes how did you come across the Asda 25% off fisher price, the code doesn't work (imaginext item) just wondering what the rules might have been?

attheendoftheday · 29/08/2013 17:57

Thanks for the Tales of Acorn Wood book, got a couple for dd2 and dnephew.

RhondaJean · 29/08/2013 18:04

I've got another vertbaudet code but I'm scared to post now haha! If anyone with an account wants it pm me.

It's up to 25% off after school collection, free p and p, £15 off when you spend £20 and free colouring or music set.

iloveholidays · 29/08/2013 18:36

CatAmongThePigeons · 29/08/2013 18:42

Rhonda may I have the free p&p code please? I cam't figure out how to PM on a phone.

DangerousMouse · 29/08/2013 18:47

Vertbaudets facebook page is so funny, is that us all on there?! They are really getting some grief.

ValiumQueen · 29/08/2013 19:24

I have just managed to get down to Argos to get clearance stuff. I have not been able to get out so have been re-reserving stuff each night. It is amazing how the prices are going up and down, and new stuff is being added every day.
