The one after Robotgate, away in a manger it’s the 4th Christmassy bargain thread

Away in a manger is a nod to girlwiththeyellowhats - we await a live birth thread on here Wink no pressure to call your DC Holly or Noel

I can?t believe we are on the fourth thread already I blame robotgate for using up the last thread Wink . Please forgive the fact that so many sale and amazon products aren?t individually linked or are linked but price may since change by the time you click on it - so many of them are out of stock and amazon seem to change prices on an almost hourly basis (it feels like) on a number of items that were previously linked to. As usual please tell me if any of these links/codes don?t work or if there?s anything particularly you want to be in the next OP (assuming there is another Wink ) how would I do any shopping without you now

Thanks for all your help in helping my christmas shopping in 2013 be once again bargainous Grin

Good stocking idea here
Our elf on the shelf arrives on Dec 1st with a little basket of goodies. Got a new Xmas DVD already, looking for cheap Xmas games and puzzles now to occupy the boys during advent.
This is nice as is this tracking on camelcamel hoping they get reduced abit further Smile

HairyPorter · 29/08/2013 11:34

Ooh that reminds me- anyone know where I can pick up an elf on the shelf that's not ridiculously overpriced??

Leilandri · 29/08/2013 11:43

£2.44 delivered. How bad can it be? Anyone seen this film?

attheendoftheday · 29/08/2013 11:48

supermariossister good idea to avoid the gold plated cards, I got some as a present and they are horrid, seem all plasticy!

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 11:49

Thanks mrswilliams Smile

Snow I paid £3.95 for my r&r from zulily they use Hermes

Leilandri · 29/08/2013 11:51

Elf on the shelf movie on ebay £4.65 delivered. £7.43 on amazon.

Leilandri · 29/08/2013 11:54

Hairy I bought this elf 2 years ago. Less scary looking than the official elf on a shelf, and the top of his hat is bent over, so a handy hook for hanging type mischief Wink

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 12:10

Oh also after three emails to vertbaudet they're sending me a free gift as a gesture of good will. It better not be a frgging sports bag!

zipzap · 29/08/2013 12:21

Book people's lunchtime offer today is selected books at 3 for 2. Includes Nigella's summer book, an Elmer set, Doctor Who, Gardening, Disney activity book, fiction sets for adults and kids etc.

Plus they have the new jamie oliver for £9.99 instead of £26.

Not sure if you can combine with the free postage offer earlier in this thread - some people did yesterday.

lilylaville · 29/08/2013 12:26

I received the tool set from vertbaudet and it was very lovely. It's being wrapped up for birthday/Christmas.

I'm glad that the company are responding well to most if you

I went to a boot sale the other day and got a keyboard and stool for £6 and 16 lovely almost like new books for £6. There are loads of great bargains on here but just remember some great bargains are there too. I haven't been to a boot sale in years!

EweHaveGoatToBeKiddin · 29/08/2013 14:02

Bargain Charlie and the Chocolate Factory pop up book \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/Charlie-Chocolate-Factory-Pop-Up-Book/dp/0141328878/ref=lh_ni_t?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A17PPCEYNU32MF\here}

Only £3.98 for the book, + £2.80 delivery so £6.78 all in.

However, the Book People are charging £12 for it.

It looks amazing. Smile

shoppingbagsundereyes · 29/08/2013 14:22

Thanks so much for the Charlie and the Chocolate factory link. My dd will love that. Also picked up an amazing Harry Potter pop up book at the same time. Not quite so bargainous but ds will love it.

Reastie · 29/08/2013 14:43

Snow it depends on the item on zulilly. I think the big/heavier ones are more expensive to ship than smaller ones. The way I've got around it if I've ordered a big item is to buy something small and cheap and pay around £3.95 for postage, and then ones that orders gone through you get free delivery for the rest of the day so then you can buy the bigger item and not pay extra for delivery

Vertbaudet are sending me wooden veg so I'm pretty pleased. Can use that for my niece Smile

iloveholidays · 29/08/2013 14:50

they've asked me to send them their original email to see if I'm eligible for a free gift. will do that later when on laptop, not holding out much hope as was quite rude in my email to them!!! Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 14:53

I said that two of my friends got gifts with their first order and it wasn't fair Grin

iloveholidays · 29/08/2013 15:06

oooh thanks spotty will add that to the email! I can't even remember if it was my first order or not Grin

£2 for Tales from Acorn Wood RRP £7.99
we have one of this set already and it is a lovely book so I have bought for gifts!

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 15:29

Does anyone know what the wooden veg is like?

I've receive my order from the works now too I have a pile almost as tall as me of things I need to sort out Blush

zipzap · 29/08/2013 15:30

Toys r Us are having a flash sale from now until friday but it's online only and doesn't allow click and collect which means that you get stuffed on the postage unless anybody has a free postage code for them?

Some stuff has very little off but other stuff has 50% - the playmobil speedboat is down to half price (£9.49) which somebody mentioned as being good earlier on amazon - so maybe that's the way to do it, see if it is price matched on amazon and use it for its free postage!

shoppingbagsundereyes · 29/08/2013 15:48

Anyone's dcs like play doh? I've just bought the play doh candy cyclone from amazon £24.99 down to £12.99. Has really good reviews ( and takes up lots of room in my dd's stocking )

olivo · 29/08/2013 16:04

Have just opened my parcel from Studio - mostly fine, but DO NOT ever order the personalised pencil cases- the cheapest piece of awfulness I have seen. No idea what I will do with a pencil case bearing my nieces name- am hoping I can buy another somewhere and slot the named pencils etc into it.

Like the look of the stuff for card making and the cards though. Wrapping paper seems fine too.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 29/08/2013 16:07

Thanks for the Charlie and the Choc Factory link - that's lovely!

supermariossister · 29/08/2013 16:13

my wooden veg pack turned up today want me to take a pic for you?

SpottyTeacakes · 29/08/2013 16:14

Ooo yes please Grin
