So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

That's exactly how I feel. I felt like I would like to have returned a little kindness. Obviously it's too late for the MN Christmas appeal, but there is the refuge appeal, and I have donated to that.

BOFingSanta · 02/12/2012 18:30

Oh, that's such a lovely post to read Xmas Smile

TeeElfOnTeeShelf · 02/12/2012 18:44

Freakin' nest of vipers.

FairyPenguin · 02/12/2012 18:45

Cheesesarnie - it was me, I don't mind you knowing, but you probably haven't heard of me! I lurk a lot, and only really post when I feel I have anything useful/helpful to add. I look on Active Convos, and sometimes on Chat, Primary Education, and Food when I can.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your present. It's the first time I have joined in but I saw the appeal last year and really wanted to contribute this year. Xmas Smile

EllenJaneisstillnotmyname · 02/12/2012 19:30

Thank you so much MN060! Thanks What a lovely thing to come home to yesterday. I'd had a pretty miserable day, bumped into STBex H and his OW at the garden centre where we were all buying Christmas trees. First time I'd seen OW. Sad So really pleased to come home to two letters, one pressie from you, one from the hospital telling me DS2's 24 hour heart monitor results were completely normal. Xmas Grin

Snapespeare · 02/12/2012 19:34

I joined mumsnet about five years ago (?) because I read about the appeal in some paper or the other and thought it was just a lovely thing. Since then it has been my priviledge to 'meet' some amazing women, i've been supported, been told off when I'm wrong and have always been amazed at...the collective resilience. How hands are held and sound, strong advice given. I still think the appeal is an amazing thing. To know that someone cares when things see ally shitty can absolutely lift your day. Thanks to all the givers this year and compliments of the season to all recipients.

Alongside campaigns, blankets & the deluge of support when people are going through horrific times, this makes me very, very proud to be a mumsnetter.

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 02/12/2012 19:36

ChippingInLovesAutumn · 03/12/2012 01:22

I received a note from MN, saying I had been nominated and would I please accept & send them my details. It was so lovely to have been nominated - it's just so nice knowing that someone thought of me :) Thank you, to whichever lovely MNer it was x

I was going to say 'Thank you, but really there are other people in far more need than I am' but MN was very clear in their email that it wasn't all about people needing help, but also people wanting to say thanks or whatever and they made it feel quite rude to say no, so I accepted the very very kind nomination :)

What a lovely nest to be in.

Rachel130690 · 03/12/2012 05:09

This is truly amazing. There are some very generous people out there. I wish I could of been involved this year but things are tight :( but I will def get involved next year. I hope everyone enjoys their pressies

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/12/2012 07:36

SecretCervix · 03/12/2012 09:43

Hiya I received a parcel today addressed to Mumsnetter MN170. Just wanted to say a BIG thank you, my daughter will be thrilled with her goodies, I hope whoever you are you don't mind me wrapping them up for her to give her at actual Christmas time, she is only eighteen months obviously but I will make sure to tell her they are from a very very kind person indeed. Have had a rough couple of months earlier in the year and to know someone out there thought enough of me to nominate and for such a lovely person to send such lovely things, ah gosh I'm gonna stop and come back in a bit when I stop crying.

dsay · 03/12/2012 10:32

Good

TeaTowelQueen · 03/12/2012 11:25

MNHQ I have replied to Santa, but could you contact me please? Seems my recipient has already received from some-one else and not sure what to do now?

Tissue box empty already...

DesperateHousewife21 · 03/12/2012 11:44

MN050 I received your lovely parcel this morning. I want to say a HUGE thank you I really didn't expect it to be so generous.
DS loves his new presents, they'll keep him amused all day (which with a 3 week old dd to feed is a big bonus!)

Every single item seemed so well thought out, your generosity and kindness is overwhelming and I really hope you have a lovely Christmas too.

Thank you again Xmas Smile Thanks
