So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

Finally posted my wee contribution yesterday Xmas Blush

Hope you don't suffer too much from the sugar rush enjoy the home made Scottish speciality.

I'm told a satsuma helps cleanse the palate so you can eat some more - although I've never tried that theory out 'cos I have such a sweet tooth I can always have "just one more" Xmas Blush

Enjoy! Xmas Smile

Secret Santa 77 I really hope you see this.

I was delighted to recieve the parcel you sent today. Lovely crafty bits and Festive socks, sweeties and a little box of chocs, labelled especially for MUM!! Other wonderful bits and bobs. I was just so happy to get this and know my DC will be too!

Then I found the voucher, which happens to be for one of the two supermarkets in this ends of the earth town I live in!! So very much too, it will make a huge difference.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas.

Thanks (though this seems paltry in comparison) also to the person who nominated me!! It means so much!

To MN137 I am not namechanging either Smile

Its very hard to know what to say in gratitude that doesn't sound trite or false but I was so touched when my parcel arrived. I have saved the Lego and stationery set for DS for Christmas Day - he will absolutely love them! I will definitely make sure that he understands where they came from. I have already had the scented candle lit while I soaked in the bath and the scent is lovely. I have been so moved by the whole experience of being nominated to receiving my "Parcel of Mumsnet Love" that it has given me a well needed boost at the end of a very difficult year.

Thanks MN137 You are truly a wonderful person x x x x x x x x x x x x x x

MN126 I'm also not name changing as I want my nominator and SS to know how touched and grateful I am.

I received a lovely cookery book last week and was therefore shocked to receive another gift today. It is beautifully wrapped and I have resisted the temptation to open it and will put it under the tree for Christmas day. The 'big' kids are away with their dad for Christmas and I will be home with little ones and the Grinch (FW/DH) and suspect there will be no other gifts for me on Christmas day so I'm truly touched by the kindness of a complete stranger (and more than a little curious about which lovely person nominated me) It has been an awful year for me and I'm hoping next year will be much happier.

Secret santa, thank you so very very much. I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas and a very happy new year xxx

MN091 here....

Not name changing because I want my nominator to know I am truly grateful for them thinking of my and because I'd love my wonderful Secret Santa to know I am so so thankful!

I just picked up my box and have tucked away the gifts for christmas day.

I can't promise the chocolates will last though..... Or the salt liquorice - yum! I'm going to tuck the santas in the kids stockings to bulk them out - along with the glow sticks which I know they will adore!

And I know you didn't know it but the birds are perfect for me - very much my style so thanks so so much!

And I love the snowman decoration - he's hanging happily on the tree and I look forward to hanging him up each year and remembering that we had a lovely christmas in 2012 despite the rough few months. This is our first christmas here after being made homeless and you really have helped to make it even more special. You really are a wonderful mumsnetter!

Hi Saltire

I'm glad it arrived safely, I wasn't fishing for thanks. I was just about to storm into the Post Office and demand justice Angry because I've had terrible trouble with DS4's present and it not arriving when it should have.

I hope you all have a lovely Xmas, the red bag is just for you. I hope you and DH find something nice to share. Merry Christmas xxGrin

Grin Just received a parcel from my SS (MN171) I am not opening the beautifully wrapped gift but I am going to use my gift card at the weekend.

Thank you so much, it is very much appreciated.

You have put a big smile on my face and really made my day. I struggle at Christmas time because I miss my 2 DS's so much. Yes, I know I am very lucky because I have two sons physically here with me and a precious grandson BUT the longing to see my lads again becomes overwhelming at this time of year.

Thank you once again - this is what Christmas is all about xxxxx

At last! Item has arrived here, been swiftly wrapped and is about to be on it's way to you, MN09.

I'll send it whichever the Post Office tells me is quickest way, but it should fit through the letter box so I suspect simple 1st class will be fastest - and apparently today is last posting day for Xmas. Xmas Blush

Sorry to have kept you on tenterhooks.

MN066 here again, another parcel has just arrived this morning I am so surprised!! never expected to be nominated in the first place but to receive all these lovely gifts - i'm totally shocked (in a good way) and overwhelmed by all the generosity. Also i really hope its not a mix up by mnhq or anything and we are really supposed to be having 3 santas? Blush

To SS066 with the name beginning with L, thank you so much!! I did unwrap and have a look at everything because I get a bit too overexcited, can't help myself! but I have wrapped it all back up (apart from the choc cos i may have to break out that one a little early Grin )

I love everything you chose, I do not know how all you secret santas are managing to get everything perfect with such little info its really amazing, I especially like ds1's top with the cape that is very cool and i've never seen one like that. I know they will all be really happy with everything when they open it up. I hope you and your family have a fantastic christmas Xmas Smile

Thank you!!!! and thanks so much to mnhq for organising this, it really makes you feel proud to be part of mumsnet to have such generosity and so many lovely people and I will definitely be nominating and voluntering to be a SS next year! Flowers

Wow, a huge, huge thank you to ss018. Your gift has come at the perfect time, I have received some crappy news this morning and this has put a massive smile on my face. Thank you so much for mentioning my dd and remembering her on Christmas, that itself is the biggest gift I could ever receive. I really hope you and your family have the most fantastic Christmas. Thanks

I am so very grateful and overwhelmed that I was nominated in the first place, a huge thank you also to my nomintaor.

MN has helped me over the past 2 years, the wonderful ladies here have given me strength and listened when I need to vent. It really is a wonderful place to be. Thanks

Hi SS102 - DS is average height and at the mo wears age 6-7 clothes, if that helps.

I'm still blown away by the generosity that has been shown to me.

I'm feeling the MN love.

Sticyj MN166

Yes it arrived yesterday. I have been trying compose in my head what I was going to write as a thank you. We are all overwhelmed by your generosity.
I was a bit Hmm when MN told me I'd been nominated, as I felt there are far more deserving people on here. But DH convinced me that someone has taken the trouble to nominate me and I should accept it in the manner it was intended.

It has been a bit of a crap year for us, DH was out of area for 6 months, or 8 if you include the 2 months training he did befor he went. it wasn't until he got back i found out that he'd a couple of "near misses". The DSes played up big time during the time he was away and I did at times feel very stressed.
The thought that someone has nominated me and you yourself stickyj took time out to think of thoughtful gifts for us has really touched my heart this christmas.

I shared the Tesco voucher with DH, and will give the amazon vouchers to teh Dses on christmas day.
The rest of the box I have kept for myself.
Thank you again, and I hope you and your family and my nominater and his/her family have a happy christmas

Dear SS111,

DS and I opened the gifts this morning, as we are going away this afternoon! I showed him the box yesterday, he was completely astonished that a stranger would send us something!

I suspect I was nominated in part due to passing on various of ds's clothes and toys over the years and it's something I encourage him to participate in, so he really felt that he had "earned" his share of the things, which gave me a warm, fuzzy glow. He has asked if we can "keep being nice to people next year". :)

All of the gifts were clearly carefully thought out and the kind of small treats that I never think to buy for myself. I particularly like the socks, as ds helpfully pointed out, it will be nice for me to have some without holes in! Ds particularly liked the small box with the snake, and the jet balls, which have been counted, re-counted, categorised by colour, arranged in the shape of a solar system - and will now be used for endless games of indoor cricket! We are going to take the Xmas candle with us to add some festive cheer to Xmas day!

Hope you have a great Xmas, and all the best for 2013.

Recipient 111
