So the spreadsheets have been completed, the matches have gone out, all is done. Gin

We're all waiting with bated breath. If you're a recipient and you'd like to pop back on here when your gift arrives to thank your donor then do remember to look out for your MN code which will have been included in the address on the packaging and include it in your post. The person who sent the gift will then be able to know it's you.

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Ho Ho Ho!

Riven has asked me to pass on her thanks to MN donor 162 - she was surprised that anyone remembered her after so long.

Thanks MN162

Solo · 02/12/2012 12:32

Cheesesarnie you need to write the ref number for your SS to know you are speaking of them IYSWIM? It starts MN and has a number after. :)

Thank you so very much! I have no patience and opened mine immediately and I promise to buy something for me and not a Christmas present with it and I will give my son his at Christmas and I'll post again then!

Thanks Xmas Grin

BOFingSanta · 02/12/2012 13:29

I thought Riven still posted? It seems odd that she she couldn't namechange for the thread if she wanted to stay anonymous to say thanks herself. She must be very busy.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 02/12/2012 13:49

I thought so too BOF, surely that's why we have numbers, etc?

RabbitsMakeGOLDBaubles · 02/12/2012 14:03

I well hope I got MN69. Just for immaturities sake.

[skips around the thread throwing glitter around and humming Christmas carols]

Yes I have taken my medication, is it that obvious? Grin

cheesesarnie · 02/12/2012 14:06

I can't find an mn number?

cheesesarnie · 02/12/2012 14:06

oooh mn035! however you are- you are amazing, thankyouSmile

SantasHugandRollintheSnow · 02/12/2012 15:09

nana I feel like that too. I feel awful I only bought for the mn children and not her too as most people have but on the flip side, I have had to limit family presents to £10-£20 each so can't really afford to do more :(

Santa035 · 02/12/2012 15:47

cheesesarnie - you are very welcome. Xmas Smile Hope you and your DC have a lovely Christmas.

cheesesarnie · 02/12/2012 15:53

I really want to know who you are santa035! i know i can't but i just want you to know how amazing you are! Smile

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 02/12/2012 16:39

Do the recipients know what MN number they are already, or is it only once they receive their gift with 'To mumsnetter MN12324' that they know?

TrazzleMISTLEtoes · 02/12/2012 16:42

They only find out once they receive the parcel.

TeeElfOnTeeShelf · 02/12/2012 17:22

So much for that plan...Daddy did not know I wanted to keep the one for my son for Christmas Day and gave it to him when I wasn't looking!

He loves it! The Gruffalo is his favourite!!!

Thank you, again. You rock!

bugsylugs · 02/12/2012 17:58

MNHQ please can I have a reminder of what I I offered brain muddle. Have tried pm and emailing Santa but no response Xmas Sad thanks

Madsometimes · 02/12/2012 18:07

So where do I begin? It must be with an enormous thank you to wonderful MNer MN117.

Yesterday morning, a package came, addressed to the Mumsnetter of the House. With characteristic unrestraint, I tore off the packaging and inside was a wrapped present. I opened it to find a biscuit tin, with instructions that there were not biscuits inside. Inside was a treasure trove of gifts. There were fake moustaches for my children, which they adored. There was a Sancturary face-mask, bubble bath, body mist, wine, table confetti, and some beautiful chocolates from the the part of the county that this MN comes from. Not sure if I'm allowed to say where, because it's quite a small place, mostly celtic I think. Very special, and a place I would love to visit one day.

I was given strict instructions to run bath, and add bubbles.
Apply face pack
Pour wine
Oil well
and slip into bed with chocolates.

And if that wasn't enough, the lovely person also added a voucher too.

So thank you so much. It was such a fantastic lesson for my children too. At first, they obviously wanted to know who the presents were from. I explained that I didn't know this person, but that it was someone extremely kind. It was really quite extraordinary to see their faces as they registered the concept of the kindness of strangers.

This time last year, I was really very poorly, and in the past year I have got so much stronger, such that now I am totally back to normal. This was a final wonderful end to my year of recovery. Once again, thank you so much.

Snapespeare · 02/12/2012 18:18

I think I've got something in my eye.
