Dear VerityClinch aka MN038, and my lovely mystery nominator... I received your gifts this evening. They were delivered to my parents address where I've been living with my DS's for most of the year. They were left in the 'safe place' (a plastic box in the garden) and the red card didn't get noticed immediately, so I am SO sorry if my thank you is a little late!!
I just wanted you to know how grateful I am for your generosity and thoughtfulness. I am far too impatient to wait for Christmas day I hope you don't mind!! The star ladybug lamp is simply gorgeous, DS2 will love it! And DS1 is going to have so much fun playing with his skittles when his cousins arrive for Christmas day. I snaffled the chocolate coins for myself
I won't go on and on but I want to update you (and my nominator too) about where we are because it's a good news story at last - me and my beautiful boys have moved into our own home this week! After almost a year of living in my mum and dad's house, it is such an exciting time. We are surrounded by boxes still, but are having so much fun getting settled. DS1 ran around and around in circles in the living room yesterday, shouting 'I love it! I love it! I love it! I loooooooooooooove iiiiit!!!'. Getting to this point is a HUGE deal. It's independence, a new start, a hopeful and happy home. I can't wait to put up the star lamp in baby bean's room and have my sister's kids over for a playdate with the boys
My parents handed me the box addressed to the MNetter of the house tonight... and they were so curious. The amount of times they've looked at me like I'm absolutely nuts a little bit odd for snorting into a cup of tea, or bursting into tears at my laptop this year, well... lets just say they are starting to understand why MN is a place I treasure. The misery and uncertainty of everything we have been though has been healed little by little, in no small part by all the love and kindness and encouragement of MNetters day by day holding my hand through the tough times.
I want you to know that your gifts are just the most wonderful way to end this year. The perfect reminder that throughout all the madness and nonsense, I have been taught endlessly about the kindness and goodness of people. I believe in love and know that happiness is always possible - and I have you (and you, and you!) to thank for that. So thank you XXX
