@Mumofsoontobe5boys congratulations birth of your baby assuming boy because of user name lol that must be hard work sometimes with all boys 😂 mind you i have 2 girls and they are pickles! That's good news that one has been awarded. Is that the new claim 9/5?

Beca89 · 04/09/2023 21:52

Can I ask what does coc mean? Sorry if I sound deft. I'm new to all this 😊

trace34567 · 05/09/2023 05:51

Beca89 hi COC means change of circumstances

Hope this helps

Mumofsoontobe5boys · 05/09/2023 06:57

Yes it’s definitely a handful at times I’m struggling with sleep deprivation really bad this time around trying not to make the change too much for my 2 that struggle luckily the kids dad is very hands on with them yes our scan date was 9/5 taking us to 16+6 weeks still though I’m unsure if it’s for 1 or both as I only received 1 text about the looking at claims no need to call for both too I will update if I get more information

Phone call received today extra information required for my eldest sons claim so it’s my younger son who was accepted which is great news no evidence sent for my youngest he has a diagnosis but it’s pointless sending this in as the diagnosis can vary with disabilities as explained on the form lady was very nice explained that she would go through the form today and take my answers to questions today into consideration and I’d hear in 2 weeks via a letter I’ve noticed people get txts after these calls also so I’ll wait for that too the wait on this claim has been 17weeks exactly both scan dates 9/5 fingers crossed that my eldest gets his claim accepted as DR wants to send him on diagnosis pathway for ADHD now too just another to add to ASD & hypermobility

3mummy3 · 05/09/2023 18:28

That's good. Even better that you didn't need evidence. Fingers crossed for the other one.

3mummy3 · 06/09/2023 14:39

Scan date 9/5 Decision made awarded care which is great but I want to do a Mr for mobility as wasn't awarded for that but think dc is entitled to low mobility. How long are they taking? I asked the lady for a reason and she said for some reason the decision maker hasn't put a reason so I've asked her to send it to me.

Thank you for doing new thread so helpful

Jude82 · 07/09/2023 12:08

Hi, this thread is really helpful thanks. I am waiting on a DLA claim and I’m wondering what is meant by scan date? Is that the date on the application form when it is stamped and sent out? Or does scan date mean the date they received it? My blank application form had 19/06 on it and I got a letter to say the completed form and evidence was received on 27/07. Letter stated a 15 week wait, I’m assuming that will be from 27/07? Can anyone let me know? Thankyou

Mumofsoontobe5boys · 07/09/2023 23:52

Scan date is their received date when u sent forms back most new claims are actually now trending at closer to 17 weeks though the letter states the 15weeks hopefully claims calm soon and they can catch up I understand they’ve had staff working weekends on claims but this hasn’t proved to shorten the wait period as yet glad this thread has been helpful for u and hopefully it keeps u going over the next few weeks waiting that u may have

Thanks so much for that @Mumofsoontobe5boys . I thought that would be the case but just wanted to check. I really don’t know if it will be awarded for my son or not and guess I have quite the wait to find out if its now at 17 weeks. Hopefully the staff at the DWP want all that overtime and work those weekends to catch up 🙏🏻 😊

Mumofsoontobe5boys · 08/09/2023 14:07

Well good news my youngest was awarded low rate mobility middle rate care and my eldest got what he had last time HRC and LRM thank god they are both able to get some extra help now with the funds in place my youngest can burn off that extra energy and have some sensory items that we couldn’t previously afford and my eldest can get some comfort having funds in place for items he breaks and a private diagnosis for ADHD now so not as much waiting we can all hopefully get some respite too sending him on a camping trip with his stepdad

Hi, I'm from Northern Ireland and have been following this thread for a while, my scan date for ds was 27 June and phoned yesterday to be told it is with decision maker, my question is how long does it take after that,

Jude82 · 09/09/2023 17:42

Great news @Mumofsoontobe5boys Must be a relief now it’s all gone through. Hope it makes things easier for you all

cowgirl42 · 09/09/2023 20:08

Hi, can anyone tell me what happens when you post your claim form? I posted ours two weeks ago. This is my first time. Do you get a notification or do you have to check they have received it? Thanks.

Mob12245 · 09/09/2023 23:03

Thankyou, hoping its sorted next week, my other son is waiting too, his scan date was 7/7, was told his should be looked at sometime next week, so fingers crossed

cowgirl42 · 10/09/2023 06:45

Thank you!

Mumto2oneofeach · 10/09/2023 09:43

hi everyone, scan date 05/06 no letter sent out to say they received my claim I had to call after 4 weeks I spent 2hrs on hold was told on the phone 15-17 weeks waiting times… the lady said to send as much information as I could to support the claim at it’s with the decision maker, I received a letter on week 6 to say they received more information from me and not to contact them again waiting times are up to 15 weeks! I am now on week 10 still waiting. It’s a stressful process my anxiety is through the roof!

Mumto2oneofeach · 10/09/2023 09:45

Hi, my sons claim has been with the decision maker for 6 weeks and we are still waiting for an outcome fingers crossed we both get some answers soon. X

tealfox · 10/09/2023 09:56

i submitted my application 6 weeks ago. i've had no confirmation of receipt and have been on hold when i've rung 3 x last week for nearly an hour each time. it's as if the option i've chosen on the call isn't manned at all. any advice?

Mob12245 · 10/09/2023 10:33

Goodness that's a long time to be with dm, I was hoping for a decision this week, probably shouldn't get my hopes up too much then, I hate waiting
